Danny Talks, Tony Walks?

The grey skies outside have been brightened by the first public utterances of Danny Fiszman since the takeover storm blew up. Arsenal’s majority share holder has kept a low profile up until now preferring to let Chairman Peter Hill-Wood be the public face of the boards resistance.
Reports that Danny had been in secret talks with potential Russian investors brought an abrupt response. “It is public knowledge that members of the Board are committed to retaining their interests in the Club and for anyone to purport that I have been involved in ‘secret meetings’ is a total lie.”
Hopefully Danny and Peter have managed to secure Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith in a ‘safe house’ until the invader is repelled!
In other news Arsene Wenger has proposed Sir Alex Ferguson as ‘Manager of the Year’. This season has seen a considerable thawing in the previously distinctly frosty relationship between ‘Le Boss’ and ‘Old Purple Nose’. Who would have thought it?
Following on from my interview with Tony Adams there has been a tenuous link between Mr. Arsenal and the managerial hot seat at Leicester. I know I suggested interested parties should act quickly but I had no idea that Milan Mandaric was a regular ‘Holic reader!
That’s it for now, come back tomorrow for a Fulham preview. Have a good weekend everyone.
