Royal Mail chiefs have joined the clamour for Arsenal to secure the future of Arsene Wenger as the proposed strike action by postal staff looms large.
Hot on the heels of losing the prestigious Amazon contract the Postal bosses now fear the loss of further mail traffic after Thierry Henry’s sensational departure.
Sid ‘Harry’ Potter, a Hampstead postman, summed up the organisations feelings. “I have been guaranteed unlimited overtime for the last eight years. There was a bit of a dip when Vieira left but my sack has been empty since Henry did one.”
When questioned Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood said “We don’t want his sort delivering our players pizza leaflets”. Asked to comment on the postman Arsene Wenger would only say “I didn’t see him”.
This latest blow for the North London giants may yet have a happy ending. A friend of Cesc Fabregas has hinted he may shortly be moving from his Hoxton bedsit into Henry’s former luxurious pad. “Cesc is very much tied to Thierry’s postman but would consider a move back to his homeland if the mail chaos continues.”

Ha ha ha – some much needed light relief in a time of woe!
I like it! Dunno about the woe, what woe? Players move on, end of, we just have to get on with it.
