Jens Out, Eduardo Or Theo In, Win A Tee
Oct 20th, 2007 by 'holic
There are not many things to be said for an unexpected bout of insomnia, or is it just excitement at the thought of seeing Bolton and their particular brand of football at the Grove today.
Either way I can check out the morning news to see what I missed yesterday. I somehow doubt that Jens Lehmann will be digesting the papers with relish. Typical of the reports are this one in the Guardian. Jens will be hoping that news of his passing is premature, but I suspect that famous temperament may have cost him his final season at the Grove. Interestingly Arsene Wenger gives a clue as to how highly he regards the young Polish ‘keeper, Lukasz Fabianski, saying “I have three world-class keepers at the moment and only one can play.”
Up front there is competition to replace, if only temporarily, Robin van Persie. Mystic ‘holic predicts a starting place for Eduardo, mainly because of this piece on the official Arsenal site. I also foresee an appearance from the bench for Theo Walcott, also talked up by Wenger in various places.
I can also boldly predict there is one last chance to win the arseshirts tee this morning. (See Thursday’s blog for details.) All you need to do is email ‘competition@goonerholic.com‘ by twelve noon with your prediction for first goalscorer at the Grove today. All correct answers go into the draw tomorrow, or whenever I recover from todays ‘socialising’!
Have a good one everybody.
