Arsenal Steam Pasta Milan
Mar 4th, 2008 by 'holic
Sorry about that! You have found a very, very drunk and very, very happy Arsenal blogger. According to Arsene Wenger we have just beaten the European champions with ‘audacity and enthusiasm’.
From where I was watching we beat them with better football! Arsenal football!
Doubtless before long there will be match reports from people who want to share with you the key moments of an intriguing contest, minute by minute possibly. Tonight all I want to do is share a couple of observations with you, and then let you take over. Let your comments tonight be a record of a famous triumph.
Firstly, is there a better central midfield partnership in Europe than Flamini and Fabregas? Matty, surely you could not even consider going elsewhere. With all due respect you are the player you are because of the partnership you have forged with the genius alongside you. I really and honestly do not believe you would be the same player in another side.
Secondly, Emmanuel Adebayor. I thought I was seeing things. This mobile striker working across the line, marauding out to the wings, particularly the left flank, before cropping up in the centre to finish the performance off. Didn’t we have a Thierry someone-or-other we would miss this season in these circumstances?
Finally, anybody who tries to tell me that the spirit in this squad has been exposed in the last couple of weeks, just look at the huddle at the final whistle. Look at the genuine delight on the face of Jens Lehmann. Look at the pride in the eyes of William Gallas as he is interviewed.
No, i’ve got a better idea. Look at the score. MILAN 0 (that’s NIL) ARSENAL 2 (Yes, TWO!)
Over to you…

I’m not afraid to admit that I cried out of sheer joy. I make my blogging return tonight. It has been too long.
ARSENAL 2 – 0 MILAN. (sorry, I mistook us for the home team, there…)
Forza Arsenal!
What a performance!
We eliminated the defending champs, we are the first English team to beat Milan at San Siro, and Ade scored his first Gooner goal in the CL!
COME ON GOONERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DANCING DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN.
Absolutely fantastic – that is how you play football. I am speechless – our boys were brilliant and I’m bursting with pride
I believed we could win out there. Did have some doubts though, worrying that we might pay for wasting chances at home.
Still had that worry 7 minutes from the end tonight, till Cesc’s goal (what a time to end a goal drought)! I was dancing (quite badly) round my living room – so proud!
We have just outclassed the European and World champions on their own ground. How good does that feel?
awesome tonight. could have been 5 as well. how much adebayors goal remind you off arsenals 5th by pires when we thumped inter. same corner for the cross as well. cant wait for the press to pick holes in this performance.
come on now it is buck to f****g wigan now. we beat mabrid two years age at bernabu and now milan at sanciero we are record breackers!!!
yeah we are so lets celebrate tonight and be the happiest people in the planet.
Seee yaaaa Gooooners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I was overseas and missed the game. When news came through sms, I was overjoyed. Four matches without a win has been too long. This team has to live up to its potential this season. The Double! The Double!
Master Class!! Absolutely brilliant!!! Now let’s go on and win the f*ing thing boys!!!!!
Epic result…. this is not Establishment Vs Ethic it was in fact Age Vs Application. The avearge age gap “test” was passed with surprising simplicity. I was watching the game here in Ireland and I felt that something strange/seminal was going even before the start when Berlusconi shook the refs hand. Then, incredibly, the ref suddenly didn’t see the world around him and gave an incredible amount of myopic decisions for the Rossonneri. As the game developed, I and we could all see two things. 1: Milan were very scared of us even with Kaka and 2: They were chasing shadows and 3: The Milan fans were shiitin’ themselves (sorry). I must say I felt we would get spanked 3 or 4 nil. I say this because too many times I’ve seen AW get it horribly wrong. I know my bad…. Anyway, this was NOT the Bernebau. It’s a different Arsenal. We all know it and secretlty deny it, but lets just enjoy this night and wait for the draw in 10 days. Gut feeling in the next round,……Schalke. Peace, U Gooners..:;-)
‘So, Matty Flamini. How did you find Kaka?’
‘Well I just looked in my pocket and there ze cunt was!’
This is why I love Arsenal. Matty! Please stay at Arsenal!! This is your home!
da best team im da world by far
Remember when people were getting upset about not winning the group?
What happened to Sevilla tonight?
Looks like we got the easier draw!
😉
♥♥♥
Absolutely fucking beautiful! Words escape me sometimes.
I want the mancs next round. Knock them out and see the ladyboy crying again. Come on you reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Goonerholic
We didn’t get the easier draw. We are a better team.
Happy Dubs!
Goodnight ‘holic.
I’ll read the blog only tomorrow if you don’t mind 😉
“It is true that our experience is superior to Arsenal’s, but it is football that makes goals, not age.”

Fantastic performance by The Gunners.
Superb victory, made even more praiseworthy by the fact we were without 3 of our very best players – Kolo Toure, Tomas Rosicky and Robin van Persie.
Not only are Flamini and Fabregas the best partnership in Europe, we have the best midfield in club football, in Rosicky-Flamini-Fabregas-Hleb.
Hopefully the injuries will begin to clear up, and we can have a successful run-in.
Le’s bring this silverware home!
san siro? been there, done that. gooner for eva!!!!!!!
I ran out of my house and started dancing in the streets screaming my fucking lungs out!!!!!!You know what, I didn’t give a fuck. I even told my wife she wasn’t allowed in the TV room because i felt that she would bring bad luck, I’ll make it up to her, because you know what.. WE MADE HISTORY TONIGHT AND IT MAKES ME SO FUCKING PROUD TO BE PART OF THE GOONER ARMY!!. We play the most beautiful football there is. Onwards! Lets thump it home and smack our critics upside the back of their stupid heads!!
Tonight,The Arsenal were truly awesome, a fantastic result which will have been viewed around the world. Good to be a Gooner!
We were alright weren’t we? Best performance of any Arsenal side ever!
Words fail me.
The best day in my gunner life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
As Arseblogger would say, sign that NDP Matty, FFS !!!
I must admit I thought Adebayor was outstanding tonight too ‘holic, didn’t he lead the line so well? I sometimes think his touch lets him down but the ball was under his spell tonight. I was delighted when he got the goal his hard work merited.
And as for Fab? I almost wish I had a 20 year old daughter to introduce him to. I can see it now – “Dad, I’ve met this nice spainish boy, his name’s Cesc and he says he plays football, would you like to meet him?”
Living in Australia I had a spring in my step on my walk to work today. We are the Arsenal and we were awesome.
Last night’s performance was truly awesome.. I was awake the whole night to watch the match(the match was at 1:15am local time in India) and I wasnt disappointed…
And I couldn’t agree more with u ‘holic.. ade was everywhere and Flam/Cesc were awesome.. Gallas too was like a rock.. Sagna did well to keep kaka silent when he tried using that wing. Theo when he came on showed his pace and the ageing and tired milan lineup couldnt cope with that..
Now hope that we channel this performance onto the remaining games in the season and bring some silverware to the emirates.
Lets do it Boys.. And as Sagna said the other day, Lets do it for Eduardo and his brother(http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article867612.ece).
We beat Milan?? But didnt we lose to Tottenham 5-1??? Is this possible?? 😛
Ruddy brilliant.

Aaah, ‘holic, that’s one sweet blog you just wrote there.
top stuff ‘holic.
thought there would be more arsers on here, as the server appears to be fucked.
If we can outplay Milan on their own ground away trips tu Chelsea and Man Utd should hold no fear for us.Then again i`m not sure this team does fear.
Just heard that Flam ran over 13000 metres in the game.Which is more than George Graham ran in his whole career.
Lovely day here in East London and the weather is fine as well.
Booyah! We won at Meelaaaaaaan!
congrats to all gunners the world over!
Welcome arsers. It’s only a tatty temporary shelter, but treat it like home while you are here…
Cook a cat, its cosy in here!
Is there anyone else around, ‘holic?
alright silva, how do?
excellent hospitality ‘holic.
are there any drinks and nibbles?
Alright geeza, fucking cracking result….
Reading round some of the press reports at the moment and it’s so funny how the cunts can change their opinion of our club in the space of a week or so.
I think everyone in the WORLD can now take notice and realise that this Arsenal team are NOT fucking about!!
Oh, and boilk!
awesome mate.
it’s fucking ridiculous, the same press that were hanging us out to dry last week, now can’t get enough of us. fucking two-faced cuntbubbles.
can’t wait for theo to be given a good run in the side with the freedom to play through the middle.
definitely boilk.

I just hope that this really gives us the boost we needed after a hard couple of weeks and we can go on to achieve something speical this season. It would only be what this young team deserves by any means.
I do have to say that Myles analysis (if you can call his usual pathetic attempt that) is a load of absolute fucking crap.
I bet the Gooners who were in Milan had a fucking amazing night celebrating last night after the game.
I wish I could have been there!
And i’m not jealous. Not in the slightest. Not at all.
Your all gay.
Heh, you cunt
On a more serious note, I am getting annoyed at the over-spunking from the media, as nelly pointed out.
Fantastic night, etc. but we have won nothing yet, and I can already hear the same cunts sharpening their pen in view of the forthcoming and incredibly tough (especially after the highs of yesterday) game in the Wigan mud next weekend.
It’s good for us fans to enjoy today, no doubt, but that’s all. The team goes back to work, and I’d rather the cunts from the press write their reports at the end of the season, and with a slice of humble pie for just desserts.
Doomed? Season derailed? Now best ever? Cunt off and let us carry on with the job. I prefer when they hate us.
ollie, you love cock.
….i have to agree with your 11.14 though
Spot on Ollie.
Although a performance of such dominance as last night deserves some ammount of praise.
They took my breath away with some of the football we played last night and I think even the cuntiest of journo’s were literally speachless (maybe ‘cos they’ve had their words rammed back down their throats).
And yeah, we have a job to finish, and it starts here.
for the first 60 mins, i was waiting for milan to start playing this ‘great’ football they can play. it never materialised (sp?).
much respect for flamster and cesc for shutting them out
Sorry, I was being a poor host. Peanut cookies and bourbon creams in the biscuit tin. Help yourself from the cafetiere.
But when the builders have finished its back to the big house with you!
‘back to the big house’
is this some sort of prisoner day release system?
*takes a bourbon*
thank you.
Heh
*Snatches nibbles and legs it*
*shoots silva with taser*
that’ll learn you.
Thanks for your impeccable hospitality, ‘holic ! 🙂
it’s quite comfy in here.
love the decor. crushed pink velvet and mood lighting. very boudoir-esque!
The big house is now open for business.
Off you go! Thanks for dropping by…
😀
still can’t get in there.
it’s been a pleasure ‘holic
What more can I say, what a performance.
However can I just say yes Eboue was disappointing but I beleive in Wenger even when get gets it ‘wrong’ and like Diaby, Walcott, Song, Senderous and all the other players so called fans and pundits have written off I’m confident he will come good.
great, terrific, fabulous ,superb, historic ,fantastic un -fuckin-believable i just cant find the right words
fabregas u r just “FABREGAS”
Flatusso ….wat the hell the other guy shud be called gattini
I’m so happy I can’t find the words. I called my mate after my Cesc scored and we just screamed and laughed into the phone. Girly I know, but what the hell are excited goonerettes gonna do?
I’m so proud I can’t wipe this silly smile off my face. Too good.
Oh, actually, this one made me laugh too. Have a lookie nookie. xxxxx
