Arsenal TV Testing On Virgin?
Mar 4th, 2008 by 'holic
Thanks to those who have forwarded this bit of information.
‘Arsenal TV is now in testing on ex-NTL (no idea about ex-Telewest, they usually begin testing after though), it is using the space left by the removed Classic FM TV and also has Classic FM TV’s EPG information.’
I was intending to return to this subject after the Milan game, but I know I am still picking up lots of hits from search engines looking for info. I have not been able to confirm this yet, but it looks as though we could have some good news (in the UK and Ireland at least) soon. Let’s hope so.

First drink.
Good news for you, I guess, ‘holic?
Ok I’ve been patient, quiet, but over days since Dudu’s horrible injury I have choked on a lot of crap. I’m sick of the media softenng on the injury only because Dudu has kept his foot (thanks largely to Gary Lewin) and can probably play his sublime footie again (a big up again for Gary’s actions now and during his rehab). What has really got up my nose is the media chant about how poor Taylor is suffering so much psychologically. Of course, if he is Mr Nice Guy he’ll hurt but his mental suffering is NOTHING compared to what he will have put Dudu through and what he has to face. Get real. And another thing, why isn’t Aston Villa fined heavily for doing absolutely zero about their braindead fans’ horrendous chants at the Emirates. For me that is far far worse than ‘bad’ langauge or racist/sexist/phobic etc chanting. They should not be allowed to get away with it and the whole club, including Gentleman O’Neill, should publicly apologise to everyone in Arsenal, especially to Dudu’s teammates who had to play with that ringing in their ears. Go go go tonight boys!
Well done ‘holic on your tireless campaigning.
Thanks Ollie and KT, but we are not there yet. No sign of this testing on my box, and no quick response from Virgin Media. I’m still keeping everything crossed.
Now, ITV4 is calling.
Come on you rip-roaring Gunners!

What a result against AC Milan will this rekick start our season cos we lost our mojo for a little while Title and champions league please come on you gunners…….
‘holic!!!! MY CESC!!! HE SCORED!
I’m so happy right now I’m dizzy!!!
A couple of updates last night.
‘it is also testing in ex-Telewest areas and it is being confirmed on various cable forums’
‘You won’t be able to find it on your regular box as it won’t be provised although you may be able to see an entry for it in the engineer’s menu depending on your box. The rumour before testing began was that Arsenal TV would be available during the second week of March, which doesn’t seem unlikely now.’
Let’s hope I get a response from Virgin themselves today.
Shall we all chat here?
Try the next post up KT…
Another little birdie tells me they are preparing to launch on channel 542, but still nothing official from Virgin Media themselves.
Arsenal TV is on my box. Ex Classic FM TV fequency. Currently showing message ‘Arsenal TV will return at 5pm on Monday’. ‘Bout fricking time. Thanks NTHell.
What frequency is the old classic tv on??
Tried the engineers menu no luck
Arsenal Tv is now showing in the old Telewest region. Programme starts at 5pm
