Real In Illegal Approach Surprise?
Jul 28th, 2008 by 'holic
A quick Monday morning question is running around my thumping head.
Cesc is widely quoted thus this morning.
“I didn’t tell Ramon Calderon no, I told him that now wasn’t the time to go to Madrid. That you are wanted by Madrid, one of the biggest teams in history, is important.”
Let me understand what is being said here. Ramon Calderon has asked Cesc to join Real Madrid? Hence the ever so polite but basically ‘get stuffed’ response.
Who at Arsenal gave permission for this approach?
That is all that is running around my head this morning.

Let’s get the rules straight……
It is only an illeagal appraoch and hence tapping up if it’s a Manchester United player. Even then that weak willed tosser Platini will not act to help and English Club. When it comes to Arsenal Real and Barcelona can do whatever they want to get our player. This includs the constant attempts to unsettle that player, and I think Mr Platini and that numpty Blatter would even allow kidnapping if it helped the Spaniards get our players!!!
I won’t waste my breath calling for UEFA and FIFA to stop all this because they are both run by idiots. Instead Arsenal should apply a £80 million buy out clause in all contracts if Real or Barca come sniffing round our players. It’s about time we stood up to these teams and stop giving in. Why haven’t we put the pressure on them for YaYa and Robinho if they want our players????
Damm well said ‘powelly’ ,those 2 FUCKERS(barca, madrid) they should stay a FUCK away from our players ,but you know what man…?? at the end of the day I think our players should be more loyal and tell Agents to shut a fuck up.
BTW, after the Villa fans songs about Eduardo at the Emirates last season do you think justice has been served with te Bouma injury?
Firstly, I’d like to wish Bouma all the best, no one likes to see that, but part of me wants the Arsenal fans to make the most of it!!!!
Its about time someone done something about this, Arsene, its time to file a complaint with FIFA
2 wrongs don’t make a right. shame on you for even thinking it.
You can’t wish Bouma all the best and then hope fans take the piss so one of those statements is untrue. I hope its the latter
I could be wrong but didnt AW give Cesc permission to talk to Real a year or so ago before signing his previous contract…..
I remember reports at the time where Cesc said at the time AW gave him permission to speak with Calderon…..i cannot recall whether this was over the phone or face to face.
Filing a complaint to FIFA is like asking for a bacon sandwich at a bar mitzvah – a waste of time with that arsehole Blatter in charge.
Cesc is an Arsenal player on a long contract so if those fuckers want to sign him they first have to offer us a stadium-loan-sized amount of money, and then they are welcome to him.
No player is bigger than the club, and by the same token, you get what you pay for, and they’ll have to pay bigggggggggggggggggg.
I sincerely hope Calderon gets crippled the fucking cunt
LOL @ goonerdeano
Its not true, fabregas has come out and rubbished the qoutes! Go on my son!
Let’s not get too heated up about the game against Burgenland. Some first team men, will play, and judging too much by their display might decrease our optimism. This is just one game to sharpen our squad, before the main exercises ahead. We shouldn’t make too much out of it.

Kir Royale for me, please
Heh, very good spot, ‘holic, it hadn’t crossed my mind.
Although I suppose players are not forbidden to have an informal chat with people from other clubs?
It’s a very tricky business indeed.
Well, Cesc’s denial that such comments were made makes this a non-story anyway, Ollie.
Unusual for the rag to use ‘direct quotes’ rather than ‘someone close to’ or ‘an insider says’.
Time to let it go, until they do it again.
