A Worried Man And The Fear Of Dangerous Driving
May 19th, 2011 by 'holic
I’m back. Thank you ‘holics for keeping the bar open while I was otherwise occupied, and thanks from the management too for your kindness.
It’s a strange evening, as I have been watching Arsene’s presser prior to the final match of the season whilst preparing the bags for the opening of the ‘holic golf season tomorrow. Thirty six undulating holes should not be a problem. The last time I played my finely tuned swing was a thing of beauty. How much touch can I have lost in eight short months? No, what worries me is if I can cope with the bacon butties for early breakfast, the lasagne and baguette at lunchtime, and the platter full of delicious roast beef and vegetables to round off the day. I may put on a pound or two.
Arsene, it would appear, does not have that problem. He looks like a man who could do with being fed a few nutritious platefuls. The recent weeks have taken their toll, and yet again he was forced onto the defensive, by questions surrounding the failings of his team at the pointed end of the season.
“It is clear that we need to add some maturity to our team.”
Pressed further he spoke of defensive efficiency, and expressed the same frustration that the supporters have when talking of some of the last gasp goals that had cost us so dear. He skirted carefully the questions regarding departures and arrivals in the summer. Like others I have heard of a desire for the club to trade a larger number of players than usual, but there is only a limited window available, and just a handful of moves could occupy those at the club with responsibility for transfer negotiations. I don’t expect all of the hoped for deals to complete, but I do hope that I am being overly cautious on that score.
All we can hope for is that the club is able to secure one or two of the purchases early so as to confirm their intent, and that it is only the players we want to sell who leave the club this summer.
It was interesting to see something of the old Wenger return when quizzed by a couple of Japanese journalists about Ryo Miyaichi. The young Japanese forward will join the club for pre-season, but as I understand it the prospect of a work permit being granted is far from certain. Quizzed about the player’s involvement with Japan’s u-23 Olympic qualifying team, Arsene pointed out it would better if he were capped at full international level.
Doubtless these are themes we will return to in greater depth once Sunday’s game is out of the way. Long-term readers know I am not one for Football Manager style lists, but if the stories around the Grove do have any substance there should be enough to write about real-life comings and goings.
First however I have to see if an old friend will return to his best. The 2009 Taylor Made Burner is exposed to the fresh air again tomorrow. Will the big stick flatter to deceive early on before crumbling under pressure when the decisive holes are played? We shall see.
Come back on Saturday ‘holics, and the final match preview of the season.

I felt I could be drinking in the wrong bar.
Evening ‘holic.
Welcome back. Hope I can take some of the thanks from the management rather than the usual blame π
Good luck with the irons. And mostly with the bacon butties.
Hey Ollie. Busy night now, catching up with everything else. Then an early one, as have to be up at six.
We must make plans on Saturday for Sunday, unless you tie up with the others tomorrow. TS may join us…
OK, ‘holic. I expect to be very busy tomorrow again, although my ‘students’ will probably leave early-ish as they’ve got planes to catch.
In a not so surprising fashion, I managed to sort of waste enough time so that I feel I won’t have enough to do all I wanted to do byt tomorrow afternoon.
But then when 5 days are 4 days for administrative reasons, I expect 4 full days, and it’s not the case. Oh well.
Yes, let’s link up on saturday. In the meantime, good luck with everything, good rest and hope you’ve got a sunny day for golfing!
Oh, and Guinness please for tonight.
It would indeed be a good thing to get an early signing in, just as important as getting Nasri to sign an extension and Cesc telling Barca, Citeh, Real, Inter, etc that Arsenal will be the club he will be captaining next season.
As for Mr Miyaichi, I’ve seen him play in the Ere Divisie a number of times, he”s definatly get talent and certainly looks the part at Feyenoord, but it’s a massive step up to the PL, so let’s not get too excited just yet.
A nice cold one please and enjoy your golf outing.
FORE!
Lol @ Arsenes physical appearance…
…here’s to transfer talk come Monday π
H2H –
Pre-season should show us his potential. He seems a decent potential squad player π
“All we can hope for is that the club is able to secure one or two of the purchases early so as to confirm their intent, and that it is only the players we want to sell who leave the club this summer.” – a very large “here, here” to that, sir.
I am already a Miyaichi devotee. Much as I’d like to see him at the club as early as possible, I’m also happy that another season with Feyenoord will get him increasingly acquainted with the European style of play and will likely be better for his development than a few Carling Cup cameos.
Ah, holic, you’re a Taylor man! That’s the stuff. I pulled my r7 out of the bag last Sunday for the first time since October. It worked! I commend eight month lay offs to you.
Sounds like you and Ollie have something cooking for the weekend. Enjoy. I will be on the wrong side of the water again, getting refreshed for next season’s challenges.
Welcome back ‘Holic.
Hope your golf is better than mine – namely every drive is through the covers for four…….
PS – to all those who mentioned me in dispatches in the last epic round of drinks, apologies that I did not respond. I’m afraid our multiple personality wore me down and I decided to save my “strength” for the final game of the season.
Or I took a trip down to Sainsbury’s π
Bah! Forget this talk of some unknown Japanese guy. Let’s go for someone bigger, like Messi for instance. I heard he has London DNA.
π
Guinness for me please, barman.
Thanks again all,
zico, former left-handed allrounder here in Beefy style. I have a tendency to duck hook everything through mid-wicket π
Only kidding. Don’t hit the bloody thing far enough to lose it, but love the feel of the big sticks these days, which cure most ills themselves.
Playing with a couple of lads tomorrow who hit the ball further than I go on holiday! A ‘tortoise and hare’ lesson will be taught π
Cheers BtM. Ollie and I and a select few others are off for tapas and Guinness to numb the pain of what could be a tricky afternoon.
I hate to say this, but…
COME ON BOLTON!
I’ll allow myself to repost this since after all money available will be the great decider of what happens this summer…
Thereβs a great recap of the financials of the entire league in todayβs guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/19/premier-league-finances-black-hole
The financials depend on when the clubs publish their yearly reports so Citeh is spending way much than stated in this report for example and Spuds are likely spending more too.
Any way the salient points are that
1) Weβve got the fifth wage bill behind Chelski, Citeh, United and Liverpool.
2) The property redevelopment has brought in lot of money to the club. It will be interesting to see how that money will be used between team investment, reducing the debt and keeping a prudent chest just in case we win the CL and have to pay big bucks to keep your players or we finish out of the top 4.
Where I will be hitting it tomorrow π
Great taste in music as ever holic …Running up that Hill presumably for Arsene… or Suspended in Gaffa..
Evening ‘Holic and ‘Holics
Good luck with the Golf tomorrow ‘Holic . Absolutely hopeless myself as shared Dr Z’s penchant for off drives and even on occasion Deep Square Leg Hooks !
Made it to the heady heights of Middlesex U-13s , ( career highlight – hitting a six on the old Nursery Ground at Lords ) , until Norman Cowans scared the living sh*t out of me at the indoor nets in Finchley , and I was unceremoniously discarded.
Is David Pleat the man with the child in his eyes ?
Ha ha and Harry is The Dreaming
A thought to carry around tomorrow. The UK Government is considering bringing back a one year passport. They thought the lack of a one year option was unfair to Tottenham fans who were forced to pay for a 10 year passport for a single year in the Champions League!
Glad the Management is on the mend ‘holic.
Am amazed by the previous posts drinks – some very interesting views and some patient answers there.
Not sure whether I’m looking forward to the final game and this summer or not. Going to be a bit of a stressy one for Gooners.
Good to see you back in action ‘Holic.
TS – any anti-inflammatory gel in the medicine cabinet – got tendinitis in my scroll-down finger.
Arthur – thanks for yesterday’s “email” post – brilliant laugh.
‘Holic – hope your “big stick doesn’t crumble under pressure” – probably best not to get it out. If it does, TS is the man to administer suitable treatment/medication.
What a day’s gastronomical itinerary ahead of you, ‘holic. Good thing the 36 holes are on the agenda to reverse some of the effect of calories to be gained from bacon butties, lasagne, baguette, roast beef and vegetables. May I suggest the addition of Brooklyn Lager, if available?
Trev@22 Does the MC contain medications of the kind you need too? I thought all the contents for hallucinatory/rainbowland purposes only.. π
In other news, it’s Friday!
Oh and Denilson has said that he is a winner and he wants to leave because of a lack of trophies at Arsenal
One thing I seriously hope is somehow England realizes the risk of a possible burn-out if he goes to the under-21 championship. Please FA, do a sensible thing for once.
http://delhigunner.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/someone-help-jack-please/
Denilson “A footballer’s career is over very quickly so it is time for me to move on. I made up my mind eight months ago. I was fed up of coming home and feeling down.”
Eight months ago it was October….we were in good form and were moving to a position where (honestly) we had a good chance at winning a few trophies. Not giving it too much of the ‘told you so’ that so many here have voiced but if it looked like Denilson didn’t give a toss all season the truth is he apparently didn’t.
Of course one player isn’t the root of our shortcomings but who needs that attitude in the dressing room? A pity because a few years ago he looked a decent bet to become if not a star then certainly a strong player to rotate in as needed. Nor will his wish to leave make the Arsene bashers relent but it should demonstrate to Wenger that being loyal to your up and coming lads isn’t always repaid – on the pitch or with the press.
I don’t even like feeling bitter about players who wore our shirt, but if the quote above is correct, then good fucking riddance.
Oh Denny boy (heh!) you will never understand the bitter sweet irony of your position. Can I be the first in line to drive you to Heathrow? Thanks for jumping ship – Meh!
Holic, Like BTM, I can highly recommend a lengthy lay off for the performance of your clubs. I sneaked back on to the course for the first time in a year last week, and Hey Presto.
Apart from the putter. That was still broken.
Hope the butties go down a treat, and that there aren’t too many uphill holes after lunch!
AFC1974 – Hope he hasn’t purchased speedy boarding because people who haven’t will just run past him and get on the plane first anyway.
Interesting mix of travel there as well AFC1974 – jumping ship at Heathrow! π
Morning ‘Holic & ‘Holics,
Tim & Harsha,
Where are these Denilson stories coming from? If true I may direct him to the doors of MC currently residing in The Marshlands…
Trev @ #22,
Yes, we have said gel. It’s on the top shelf of the MC behind the GT. I must point out, however, that I am a buyer/supplier only and in no way qualified to administer π
I have a ticket secured for Sunday, first time to The Cottage for me. The surrounding area is full of bars and decent eateries which should, as ‘Holic says, help to numb any pain that might be inflicted on the pitch come 4PM.
COYRRRs and banana skins and Kevin Davies elbows on Citeh!
Holic, TS and Ollie – enjoy my old stomping ground. I have a fair idea where you are going for the Tapas. If you need any help finding decent pubs (I doubt it) then let me know and I’ll use the secure line. There is one really obscure little pub that isn’t a million miles from where I think you are going…
TS – you’ll love The Cottage, and the stroll through the park to get there. Not sure about their new statue though!
Too early for a pint?
TS – The Guardian….(Denilson)
Hey Dr.C
Never too early for a pint when it’s good company and the sun is shining π
When I was YF&S, I enjoyed a few nights out in Putters so know a little of the area but it’s mostly hazy memories now. Any strong recommendations for good places are always gratefully received.
As for Michael Jackson…..
It’s all over the internet TS π . Just google Denilson
Tim,
Thanks. Berluddy cheek esp. when you consider the level of commitment that he has shown on the pitch this season.
Didn’t he write on twitter earlier in the seaon that he was “Arsenal forever” or something daft like that?
Morning Holic and Holics, the sun is shining away in a blue sky, it’s Friday, and the whole mood in the bar feels positively buoyant.
Nothing like a blot on the horizon to dampen our spirits, and who’s this fly in the ointment I see? Looks like Denilson’s had enough of not winning things. What would that be then, the 100m stroll??
*passes round cap to get a quid off all the other drinkers*
I’m off to the station to buy a one-way ticket to Stansted.
…. and Harsha!
I hope we get a decent price for him though π
Oh well, the summer clear-out begins?
@TS….I think his Twitter account was closed due to lack of effort, about 8 months ago
TS – have sent Holic info!
Heh! Tim @ #40
Cheers Dr.C @ #41!
“I am a winner and I came here to win trophies but I’ve been here for five years and won nothing. Until Arsenal stop throwing away silly points in stupid games nothing will change.”
Yeah, perhaps you could have tried this little thing called “putting a bit if effort in yourself”, then.
Looked a good prospect, didn’t develop enough. Good luck at your next club, and when he has played three good games for a mid-table Spanish side against bottom-table Spanish sides, expect the “how could Wenger let him go!!!11!1!!” reaction from the CM community.
But if nothing else it looks like the clearout (to whatever extent it will go) has begun. I am not entirely sure that it actually is his own decision to go, I wouldn’t be surprised if in reality he’s been told that he is not part of Arsene’s plans for next season and just says this to save face.
Lars – exactly. Massive “well I didn’t want to play with your ball, anyway” situation. Vive la change…
Zico β Heh!, just reread my drivel! Guess I was just amazed at his sheer cheek!
Tim β Heh!, just got my sides sewn up β now that’s pure comedy.
Anymore funnies out there? (Holic permitting of course)
OK, that american plonker who has predicted that the world is about to end tomorrow might be on to something after all. I just read this one:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3590701/Denilson-Theres-something-missing-at-Arsenal.html
…which is a much better and seemingly more factually correct article than the one in the Guardian.
Something is very, very wrong when The Sun tells the truth and The Guardian takes the sensationalist view…
Lars @ #46
If the The Sun replaces the The Guardian as a more relaible source of news then maybe the world really is ending? π
Storey, that was what I was thinking. It’s a bit like the conversation from the start of The Hitch-hiker’s Guide To The Galaxy:
βGoing to watch the match this afternoon then?β
Ford glanced round at him.
βNo, no point,β he said, and looked back out of the window.
βWhatβs that, foregone conclusion then you reckon sir?β said the barman.
βArsenal without a chance?β
βNo, no,β said Ford, βitβs just that the worldβs about to end.β
βOh yes, sir, so you said,β said the barman, looking over his glasses this time at Arthur. βLucky escape for Arsenal if it did.β
Ford looked back at him, genuinely surprised.
βNo, not reallyβ
(Douglas Adams was, of course, a Gooner!)
Afternoon All ,
Lars – thanks for that – clearly going before he was pushed .
The early promise of his Fabregas-Lite debut season melted away into a mist of mistimed tackles , misplaced passes , and misjudged failures to track the runs of opponents . He was in short a misfit .
The final straw of his miserable misadventure was to misappropriate the heritage of his miscegenation , and misapply his hair into a miscellany of plaids , which frankly was as misconstrued as placing a steaming pile of dog turds on the top of your bonce .
Have a good one at the Cottage , TS Ollie et al
Lars @ #48,
Nice one. Perhaps “goodbye and thanks for the fish” might be appropriate in his case? Or even, good bye and thanks for your wibbly headed samba dance after scoring one wonder goal at the beginning of last season? π
tabs,
He was in fact a short misfit :-). I was wondering if you could be tempted form your North London juicer on Sunday to one in West London???
…I do hope AW purchases a first class replacement for a first class player like Denilson π
I believe that’s the DM position. Oh good!
Storey, that goal really was a cracker though. And what a wonderful game…
tabs, those words can not be misconstrued.
Hey TS
Would love to take you up on your very kind offer , but tragically other less interesting invites have already been accepted on my behalf , and at the time of writing , it is by no means certain I will be able to sneak out to the juicer of choice ( The Orange Tree N21 ) , let alone a trip to see how the other half live !
Note to self – to avoid a mistaken mish-mash of a weekend , and so that in the future I am able to go missing on a ‘Holics mission , don’t mismanage the missus , or she might misinterpret and consider that she has been misinformed and have misgivings that I am off to see the mistress .
I see that posts are more reasonable in both length and numbers today.
I also see that TS will be able to quench his Cravings for Cottaging.
Thoughts to BtM if Denilson leaves us π
And a drink for all on this friday afternoon!
A miscellany of drinks for me please Ollie
‘Drop would be End of World – Ollie’. I’m seeing this is one of the news headlines on F365.
Drop of your finest for me, barman. I promise I won’t see it as the End of The World. π
From F365 Big Weekend feature :
Just as it wouldn’t be the end of Tottenham’s world if they finished sixth, rather than fifth and avoided the season-long inconvenience of the Europa League, Arsene Wenger probably wouldn’t be that upset if Wilshere tweaked a muscle on Saturday.
Not a serious tweak mind, but one that kept him out until – to pick a time totally at random – until around the middle of June.
At last I see I’m not the only one thinking that.
Avram Grant is free! Avram Grant is free! What do you say lads? Do you think he’d come?
tabs @ #54,
Do you mean The Orange Tree in N21, as in the one in Totteridge Lane and not too far from Arsene’s crib? Do tell….
Shame about Sunday but thought it would be polite to ask. Let’s make sure that we correct that next season if not sooner.
Ollie @ #55,
…”Cravings for Cottaging”????
Not while I’ve got my strength old son π
Peter @ #59,
We could probably make good use of him to help him sell players surplus to requirements this summer.
After that, maybe a position in the team responsible for the maintenance of the pitch?
All this as long as he doesn’t demand anything unreasonable e.g. a salary.
TS – The orange tree I frequent is in Winchmore hill N21 – Totteridge Lane and Arsene’s crib is in N20 I believe .
Whilst we’re on that subject , I went for Dinner in a wine bar/ restaurant / club in N20 called enterprisingly enough N20 , about 5 years ago , with my then squeeze .
Who should be in there but none other than Lord Arsene himself . He was in there eating with three other guys , whose faces i recognised but couldn’t quite place . I think they were ex- footballers turned agents .
Shorn of both his suit and his sleeping bag overcoat ( this was the close season summer after the 06 final loss to Barca and Arsene was in a plain white T-shirt ) , AW was frighteningly thin .
When word got round that he was in da house , all the natives streamed in and at one stage the queue for autographs and handshakes went all the way around the restaurant section .
AW remained polite , helpful and patient until the last autograph had been signed , notwithstanding he was munching his way through a lettuce leaf at the time .
I of course behaved impeccably – notwithstanding a few dreamy glances in AW’s direction , I kept my eyes firmly on the main prize- I was looking to seal a deal of an altogether different nature !
tabs,
Cheers, another cracking story and thanks for the correction. Yes I know N20, would have thought that was a bit down-market for a man of his means/stature but there you go. Wonderful to hear that he behaved like a gent. With the pressure he’s under right now. I doubt he’d be quite as accommodating.
The reason I mentioned the OT (N20 version) is because it’s where I met the current Storey Management so it holds a special place in my heart, aaahhhh.
Hope you closed ‘that deal’ by the way π
Drinks for all please Mr. Barman and the MC/GT is now officially open for the weekend – hurrah!
PS for tabs: That came out all wrong. N20 would be too up-market for the likes of me. *tugs forelock*
Heh TS – tremendous stuff – I’ve eaten in there ( OT N20 ) , Used to see a girl who lived in Barnet , and we often found ourselves imbibing there on a friday night .
I wonder if I was present on your momentous evening ?
Did I hear the MC was open ? a quick toot for me before I fly out the doors please .
TS – I think you’re right – doubt AW went back given all the attention he got from the great unwashed …
TS – a gentleman never tells , but I’m no gentleman so let’s just say it was ” up for grabs ” !
Heh tabs! HAGW!
@Steve T: You were wondering if the players cared. Denilson’s interview in the Sun provides some light:
“I went home afterwards and just cried. I was very upset, very sad and I was ashamed.”
Denilson was not alone. He says the whole squad, the entire Arsenal staff was devastated.
Now I know many will be happy to see him move to other pastures. I may be in the minority with BtM thinking he has loads of potential but I can only acknowledge we only saw glimpses of it and in the last couple of years we haven’t seen him progress much, rather the opposite this season.
Arsene likes to develop players by moving them on the pitch, sometimes it works but transforming Denilson from an attacking midfielder into a defensive one backfired. It will be interesting to see if like many others he falters after leaving the club or finally fulfills his potential.
@tabs: great story. Indeed Arsene looks really eaten from the inside these days.
Just finished my liquid appetizer. Anyone care to join?
Evening all. I love golf me. An eighteen hour day of eating and drinking, spoiled only by having to whack your way round ten miles of wasteland.
Well it is now I’ve dug it up π
‘holic, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the digging. Long hot summer about to begin it appears so not being a golf man I’ll be looking for some cool water for swimming and a cool drink to soothe the insides. Cheers!
Long hot summer, oh please. Sun most of today but a chilly old breeze too. Got a horrible feeling we are getting an early summer as we had an early winter.
Bloody global warming π
TS, message received and understood. Email your mobile and I will text confirmation of where we are at 2 on Sunday. Lots of Guinness will be involved π
Oh, and Catalan, thanks also. You have nailed the pub, which is on the river, the opposite side of the road from the tapas!
Parker, Samba and a good striker (Aguero is my wish) an change to 4-4-2 is my offseason wishlist.
Not too much to ask for is it π ?
*and a change
@ Matt. On the nail about Denilson. Five years ago he and Cesc looked to be the future of our midfield.
Doesn’t really matter who we want signed if the world’s supposed to end if 45 minutes, does it:D?
*in
Snir u posted that an hour ago AND I’m still here!!!!! Anybody else…. Else….else…… Zzzz
Lol it’s so hilarious that it’s getting soooo much coverage. Not only that, it’s coverage to a guy that said the world’s gonna end in 1994, and obviously that prediction didn’t go too well did it lol :)?
Holic @73 – Gotcha!
LOng night with the kids (but that means I have credits in the bank for golf!)…. so a coffee please! Strong and black.
Morning Holic,
You have mail as requested.
Glorious sunshine today, let’s hope for more of the same tomorrow. Guinness + sunshine, that’s a great combo π
Throw in a few prawns in garlic and chilli (highly recommended!), and the results could be interesting!
So it looks like next year in Ligue 1 we will have Bordeaux vs Evian.
It could get messy in the bar.
Sounds delicious Dr.C. The MC is open for poor sleep deprived souls BTW π
Ollie
Turn wine into water?
Any caffiene based substances you have to hand, please TS!
CG is looking for Red Bull?
Think Storey is getting well generous with that MC – methinks he has sourced a new supplier π
I agree Dr Z – no wonder stocks are so low !
Sorry all but this really tickles me:
http://www.fulhamfc.com/Chairman/MichaelJackson.aspx
And some people say Le Boss is a bit mad π
Dr z, I operate a broad base supplier strategy to ensure (a) keen prices and (b) security of supply.
I think these are sensible policies for a well stocked MC & GT but welcome any suggestion to help ensure that we all get what we need….
…. including ‘dark brown Paul Merson specials’ for Dr.C to ease the pain of his sleepless nights π
PS from TS
… Err, just in case I have offended anyone here, it’s not the fact that MJ has passed on that tickles me, just the nature of the tribute esp. that statue.
In other words you accept anything that’s going π
As someone in here (I think) said some time ago, TS, tomorrow, we can give a rendition of ‘you’re not singing anymore’ in front of the statue.
great laugh out loud moment Ollie .
Afternoon all BTW
zico,
Harsh words, largely accurate π
Ollie,
Double heh! Imagine how funny that’s going to sound when we’ve had a few? π
TS – having rightly decided to reject the new Russian MC for the HT , I have made further enquiries , and have found a Columbian model , second-hand , which comes at a very reasonable price , has a built in GT , also has a non-hallucinatory syrup ( NHS ) , for more common ailments , and a ready supply of MP ( Merson’s piss ) .
Thought we might all undermine the NHS by continuing to believe in the magical qualities of the MP ?
Top work tabs!
Sounds over spec’d to me altho’ not sure about the NHS.
We can keep the MP for special visitors such as those with a terminal case of verbal diarrhea (VD) from from the Greek islands.
One point, does it come with any binding supplier agreements that might involve the need to make deals with dangerous cartels? If so, suggest we employ the Totteringham Twitcher to act as middle man just so long as he draws his salary from the other side.
Better get this deal approved by Dr. z as well before we sign anything – good governance and all that π
back of the net ?
yes !!!!!!!!!
Tabs, there’s a ready supply of MP most saturdays on Sky. Can’t take too much of it myself, if I’m honest.
TS – I say if its Colombian, of any persuasion, we take it!
How do you like them Governance apples?
Well done tabs, take a bow…er….son. Onwards to 200!
So we’ve done The NHS, MPs, VD, DCs, TT and the planet’s still spinning.
We need that CMC ASAP. Dr. z, get that contract signed please.
Fair enough TS – will ditch the NHS – everybody else is – cant face another trip to the Marshlands – so will ask Robbie Savage to act as middle-man and take any beatings going – Im sure he’ll do it for the publicity without any need for payment on our part .
Green light then tabs.
Please tread carefully and dn’t forget to shake hands backwards with TT.
TS@104 – Comic genius
Dr Z – very good point tho if you can stomach it for long enough , you do get the ocassional high
Good call re: The Sh*thole.
Nobbie Salvage eh? Possible change of tactic?
Pack him off him to Columbia directly and instruct him to pick-up the CMC in person and deliver it back to the bar. Imagine the opptys for publicity he faces at the airport. π
Will get him to ship the CMC direct from Columbia .
Once this has been accomplished , I have instructed my ” contacts ” to put the word out that Princess Di is on a royal visit – and he will be kidnapped . We will of course refuse to pay any ransom .
Plan … cunning … weasel … tail … are the words that come to mind .
Right , Barman , time for a cool lager and drinks for all . See you when the next session opens .
Heh, top work above, the new-look HT and MC are going to be something special.
ladies 2-0 bristol

I don ‘t get it…
Why is there a statue of Nani outside Craven Cottage?
Beer please.
good win for ladies
cognacgunner, just as I was clicking on your link, guess it’s too late now! π
yup – what a record they have
something for the gents to aim towards
