Starting At Holloway Road
Nov 25th, 2011 by 'holic
“So come on Grandad, what chance have Arsenal got on Sunday?” I have to manage a young lad’s expectations. “Not much to be fair”, I tell him.
The mood as I write my previews these days has changed from the early days of the season. Above was an honest assessment of our chances before we shipped eight at Old Trafford. So much, thankfully, has changed. If my grandson phones tonight he will hear a much more confident old boy on the other end of the line.
Thanks to Arsenal Football Club for the exclusive images
I am thinking of my grandsons ahead of the game because it is the home fixture dedicated to Arsenal’s chosen charity this season, Save the Children. This worthwhile cause will get a boost from the donation of a day’s wages by the Arsenal squad and a number of the staff members.
Supporters are being urged to contribute as well via a range of ways. Fifty pence from every programme sold will be donated. Special wristbands, modeled by Theo above are available for four quid from the club shops, and at least half of that will go to the charity. Those who have watched Arsene’s pre-match presser will know that some surprise collectors will be present with collection buckets. No names were mentioned, but if an Arsenal legend waved a bucket under my nose I would feel compelled to donate in exchange for a snap and an autograph. Just saying like.
Those who do not have the opportunity to go to the game tomorrow can still support the day by clicking on the Be a Gooner Be a Giver page at justgiving.com
I am looking forward to the day immensely. A bit of lunchtime tapas is on the menu before I meet the two competition winners for a pint and a chat before taking to our lofty perch to view the game. Here again the improved spirit around the club means I am looking forward to seeing this side working their socks off for each other again.
I am making the assumption that not too many changes will be made to the starting eleven from the last two matches. Arsene hinted that Andre Arshavin ‘may play tomorrow‘ but his opportunity will surely come in the Carling Cup quarter-final against Manchester City on Tuesday night. Having argued the case for the Russian to start against Dortmund I am now turning the full 360 and hoping to see an unchanged side build on a fine couple of results.
I agree fully with Arsene that this Fulham side is better than the points tally they have currently put on the board, and I wasn’t surprised to hear him talk of us preparing for their visit in the right way. Having ended the Phil Dowd run last week we have an even longer winless streak to put an end to under Mike Dean tomorrow. I have to punt the ‘holic pound on a win for us, despite the appointment of the Wirral whistler. 3-1 looks a bit skinny at tens, but it is the scoreline I fancy. If it wins, it is value. I’ll place my punt with Paddy Power who has elected to follow me on Twitter, presumably as a token of his appreciation for the money I have pumped into his pocket down the years!
The Prototype Goonerholic Android App
I mentioned this on the last post. The top man that is Arthur the Gooner has produced an android app for you to try out and feedback on. It can be downloaded from here, which can also be accessed via Arthur’s wonderful android ‘holic in the sidebar. Please do let me know what you think.
So far the only feedback I have had is requests for iPhone and Blackberry versions of the app. I have to say unless some kind soul who knows how such things are put together volunteers their services they will have to wait until you all order your Christmas shopping (or now new audio tours of the stadium) via the banner advertising on here. If there is money left over after the webhosting bill is paid then I will see what we can achieve with any balance.
End blatant plug.
So let’s get into the spirit for a wonderful weekend. If you are going tomorrow I may see you. Do say hello to every old boy you see around the ground. Streams should be plentiful for those at home but without access to live television coverage. It will be good to see football reclaim the drinks from those currently educating overseas ‘holics in the finer points of the game of Mornington Crescent. I have to say if anybody beats either North Bank Ned or Take A Bow Son before kick-off tomorrow I will stick an extra fiver in the Save The Children bucket.

For a second I thought Theo was your grandson and you just had to reveal it tonight.
I’ll start at King’s Cross St Pancras.
Your move.
Ha ha ha, Ollie, it could be – I think Walcott hails from the Thames Valley originally…
Long time no see Mr Mollusc!
Guinness please.
I will then demonstrate my Googe Street bi-laterals.
Oh, and Mike Dean is a c***.
Hope you have a great day out ‘Holic.
Indeed M. Ollie.
Hope you enjoy your bi-weekly commute. I will be bathing, feeding and then putting my baby to bed. I may catch the second half…
Have a great time and say hi to the usual suspects from me.
Schoolboy error that Ollie. Trapped on a Picadilly junction when it is my turn next and I am on the same line. You are one more foolish move away from a dreaded Nidd. Concentrate.
I’ll runaway not stopping for you en route to Perivale. Ned will really enjoy that one. Garden, 1997 🙂
SNAILY!
How are things, Dad 😀
Cheers Snail. Good daddying!
Piccadilly, ‘holic? You couldn’t be more wrong.
Don’t commit your second mistake Ollie. If you are claiming the overland station then I am afraid Nidd is the best you can hope for. Articulated escalation is a big no-no. Surely you have learned that much today?
Good ‘Holic, a novice I may be, but I think Ollie spies Victoria, Northern, Circle, Metropolitian and Hammersmith and City running out of King Cross St Pancras, and I ‘avent even started on the National Rail connection!
Almost endless possibilities, but I would personally move to Blackhorse Road on the Victoria, and sit back watching… 🙂
Wind, it’s a junction. All lines are as one for the purposes of doubles, loops, and wangles. I just executed the move that virtually clinched the London allcomers title for Garden in 1997 although that came an hour into his contest with Muir, God rest his soul.
That was one of the great wangles.
…and thank you zico. I have a feeling a very enjoyable day out indeed will be had 😉
I have located the alarm on the iPhone…
‘holic, The Wirral Whistler sounds like something right out of Jethro Tull circa 1978. Mike Dean tends to make a habit out of making himself look foolish so maybe he should don a pair of those frog green tights ahead of time?
16th and druuunkkk on FUllers ESB…love Fridaysss
Mike Dean must be puunishedd
ESB, yum 😉
Enjoy the day with your winners, ‘Holic. I have a warm inner glow regarding the result (and it’s early doors, so that glow hasn’t, yet, been induced by something wee and wet).
Diamond Weddings, my employer and a family who “wants to have Christmas in the States this year” are all conspiring against me on visits to to our hallowed home.
I will be in London on January 7 for a week. We have an FA Cup 3rd round game on that day, so please keep your fingers crossed for a home draw on that day and for the Carling Cup game on Jan 11 – yes, of-course we’ll qualify for the next round. We’re away to Swansea the following Saturday 14th and I may wander down there as well.
Good post Holic. I agree totally re Fulham. I am expecting nothing but 3 points but it will be a tough battle. I don’t expect many changes. Many of those above us play each other so a good chance to claw back a few points.
On the day the club decide to honour their chosen charity my attendance at the Grove is blocked due to my sons birthday. A trip to the pictures followed by pizza is planned for my Saturday afternoon and early evening. It will then be home to watch the recorded match.
Those attending enjoy your day.
Keep the faith.
Good evening to my two distinguished guests who will be sorely missed tomorrow.
Happy birthday, son of Steve. (As it is now today!)
BtM, you have been missing too long, but family comes first. The employer, however, needs counselling on the drawbacks of executive stress 😉
Cheers holic. Ben T will be 8 today as it is now. He is playing for his side first thing and has already earmarked his home shirt as his chosen attire for his afternoon venture to the flicks.
Enjoy. I will be with you in spirit.
Tabs@294 previous: I am fine with that, but you all seem to have gone ahead anyway in my unavoidable absence due to an unexpected outbreak of work. If you let the Grimaldi Protocol take precedence under Jubilee Rules the effect is much the same, except three rounds have to be played before the trump is effective. Otherwise it makes a mockery of any consecutive lateral parallels that are in place.
‘Holic: I’ll double your fiver if Tabs or I prevail, but you’re on twenty if you slip in and nick this. You are gradually revealing quite how accomplished a player you are. @7: If I recall Garden was on that tear at that point and then made a schoolboy howler at Wembley Park. Cost him the title. Always watch your loops.
Meanwhile, back to Acton Town for me to shore up the defenses.
Have been watching all the convoluted, if successful, attempts to bamboozle very experienced participants in the game of Mornington Crescent.
It is quite obvious that some of you are not as knowledgable as you would have your opponents believe.
As Gooners, I find it quite incredible that none of you is aware of the original Gillespie Road circumnavigation.
I’m therefore dispensing with all the nonsense, and going for a pure and simple Turnpike Lane, Caledonian Road. . . . leaving me, I believe, one unavoidable hop to Mornington Crescent next move. . . .
If you don’t believe it is really that simple, I think you will find the Gillespie Road circumnavigation was verified in the Rushton-Lyttleton appendix to the 1983 amendment to the original rules.
Clive @ 352 previous drinks – big hehs 🙂 – to the point, as ever !
Superb work on Morn Cresc by Tabs, NBN, Holic, and a late run by TS, by the way.
You really musn’t overlook the obvious though 😉
(*chortles smugly*)
I want us to beat Fulham and see Arsene slap Jol aroundd like the good oled ays…establish dominance Arsenal!
North Bank Ned @ 23: stop a minute! Please list all the substances being imbibed by the participants of the Morington Crescent game because I would like to be able to follow from the sidelines if the rules permit. Your post reminds me of when someone arrives at the home of friends who have had a few hours head-start with the ‘ol Chilum and you know its going to be a long night before you get caught up with the others. That’s when you find out how fecked up it is to be straight when everyone else is stoned..
3-1 is also my fancy for tomorrow.
..** of course I meant to say “when *one arrives at the home”
Despite what the purists said, the International version of Mornington Crescent (aka Croissant for Breakfast) has been authorised.
Bourg-La-Reine-Châtelet-Gare du Nord. Can’t remember if the next authorised move is St Pancras or if saturdays mean ‘Brussels’.
December also means the Hull&Stoke variants can delay you either side of the Channel. You have to gamble with the toss of a coin.
Have a great day out mate!
Cheer Esso.
Bye all
Morning all,
I think you should not have revealed your hand so soon Trev. I’m pretty sure Ned will have noticed the opportunity for the Bidermeyers slip, thus shunting you south of the river on a Saturday night.
And you are right. You were so close. Good effort.
Morning All ,
Nice preview Holic . Fulham will be a tough nut to crack but we should have enough . Arsenal to win 2-0 , Ramsey to score and Jol’s enormous head to get wedged in the tunnel is the triple I’m on .
Ned@23 – A very good point Sir . The Grimaldi Protocol is of course the answer . However in order to avoid the nonsense of The Windsor Rules , a variant which gained some favour in less enlightened times (only the senior player in a straight line is allowed to inherit possession ) , we’ll have to invoke The Hapsburg Convention . This means All avenues are straight functioning, and as Mortimer’s Bakerloo Gambit is allowed Elephant & Castle counts treble. I shall therefore move to Elephant and Castle .
Trev @24 – heh nice try , but as Holic has quite rightly pointed out , your messing around for two consecutive moves on the northern sector of the Piccadilly Line introduces North London rules . Contraflows become inverted , and to avoid Triangulation , you must proceed immediately to Putney and remain south of the river for the next 5 go’s . Sorry old Son .
tabs, a tough nut it is but at the same time this is another one of those games where it is up to ourselves to do what it takes to win. At the risk of sounding like a broken record I’ll say the same that I’ve said before most games lately: match them for work rate and we’ll win it quite comfortably. Don’t and it will most likely bite us in the arse.
Gunnersbury to Chalk Farm.
On train a little earlier than anticipated. I fear an Ollieing coming on.
Must read up how to tether hPod to hPhone to double mobile broadband capacity on match day.
Good afternoon Holic and company. I see you lads are either preoccupied with technical gadgets (Holic!) or torturing yourselves with this madhatter of a game. Whilst, silly me I have the pre-game jitters and no one to chat up! Won’t someone come out to play?!
Invoking the special green rules and in abeyance of the anti-Wikipedia rules, I’ll move from Greenford to Green Park to Bethnal Green to Bounds Green to Chiswick Park (nee Acton Green) to Croxley (nee Croxley Green) to Fulham Broadway (nee Waltham Green) to Golders Green to Kensal Green to Parsons Green to Stepney Green to Turnham Green to Willesden Green to Wood Green to North Greenwich, where there is indisputably a green tree outside the entrance to the station:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/14/North_greenwich_tube_station.jpg
Hey there Abb, you have pre-game jitters too?
Just had a quick look at Munsters v Blackburn, just to be able to revel even more in the glorious Gunners later on.
Thought I’d accidently tuned in to a League 2 game. Woeful.
Somehow though, Pulis’ Pillocks have done it. They’ve actually made themselves even more ugly, as virtually every one of them is sporting (not a term to use otherwise in conjunction with Stoke) a Mexican bandito moustache. And in HD !!!
Right, off to the Grove now, with daughter today, who is predicting a 2 – 1 win, albeit reluctantly ‘cos, at 7 years of age, she likes to watch the warm-up before deciding !
Btw,, she was spot on last season with 6 – 0 vs Blackpool ! 😉
Come on you Reds !!!
bt8bbgfg – nice try, but that tree is on a branch line, and you can’t use it on a radial traverse 😉
Enjoy Nurse ABB – try to keep Ganggoolie under control, 😉
Hey Trev, Enjoy the game!!
And you bt8b – happy streaming !
Crikey , some fine play up there from 8ball and Ollie (international variant) .
Enjoy the game Trev , Holic , Ollie and Arthur , and of course any other Holics attending . I look forward to seeing you all at Everton .
In other news I see Le Grove has dealt The Gooner a crushing final blow by giving it their endorsement and urging its readers to buy it . As if Le Grove readers actually go to games !!! Have you heard anything more ridiculous ? Tssk .
Happier news is that our own Leg Rash is weaving his magic behind enemy lines to an increasingly baffled Gareth . First , he tells Leg that satire is meant to be entertaining and then says he didn’t read beyond the first 2 lines . Make up your mind Gareth , you poisonous ignoramus . Well played AL (?) 😉
8 Ball @ 41 You too? Bobby Zamora scares me, frankly. And Dempsey will be a royal pain, though I do like his Texan drawl. Plus with Dean overseeing the festivities, anything can happen. Why can’t we have someone the ilk of Gordon Hill officiating…
Trev @25: check the revised edition, as ‘Holic and Tabs clearly did. But nice try.
Ollie@31: if you are playing international rules, you must allow for strikes.
Tabs@35: Under Cryer’s Dispensation that lets me play Regents Park.
Bt8b@40: showboating is frowned upon.
Trev@43: 🙂
Have a great day out fellow ‘holics and please remember if you need to take the tube, your journey should end on the Picadilly Line, Holloway Rd or Gillespe Rd and not in an area between Camden Town and Somers Town in a station on the Nothern Line.
===
Fulham havn’t got the best away record this seaaon and they’ve never beaten us while we were at home in their entire history. If our commitment and concentration levels are at 100% then we really should be looking at another thre points and a sixth consecutive victory.
Trev @`44, Never fear, I’ve raided the dispensary while Nurse Wolfie was shopping at Victoria’s Secrets for a new uniform…she left in quite a storm, when she couldn’t find anything in her size! Cheers!
abb , afternoon , my memories of Gordon Hill the Ref aren’t all good , although you may be referring to ex Manc left winger and seventies all round cheekie chappie Gordon Hill , in which case I would be all in favour , especially if his assistants were Richie Powling and John Matthews .
Enjoy the game ‘holics who are at the game! Give the boys a massive shout out coz’ they will need it to get all three points today
Make no mistake, league game after a European game is always a tricky one
Nurse Abb , that Dear Girl is slander . Most of my “patients” have said how much they prefer things on the tight side 😉
Tabs @ 53, Hey mate! Yes, I actually met Gordan Hill back in the seventies at a football conference at USF in Tampa. He was very passionate about the game and was very polite to me.
55 Staff Nurse Wolfie Ha Ha! There is a new product out called Sensa; you sprinkle it on your carcasses, oops, I mean food (heh, heh) and it kills (oops, sorry again) your appetite. Just saying…
two, three, four….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN45OjB-cCU
😆
Nurse Abb, Let’s hope your heartthrob doesn’t put the throb in us today but he is a pretty good rapper:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hp52oY25FW4
Up the Bromwich!
Mulumbu spud killer!
Good starts for the home sides …
Go on the Baggies !!
H2H heh 🙂 A BM Sir ?
Abb @56 Fair enough , but i hope you didn’t blow on his whistle ? Can’t trust a man all in black , or so Wolfie tells me 😉
AL !!!! Fine work fella , you’ve getting about a bit recently 🙂
8 Ball @ 59 Wow, he is sexy! Sorry mates, I’m getting a wee bit carried away…blame it on hormones! Something Nurse Wolfie lacks! Holic, I hope Mr Dempsey’s visit on your blog is not warranting a red card.
Cheers tabs, don’t mid if I do, so long as you join me ofcourse.
I loved that choon, everytime I hear the name Gordon it always springs to mind and brings me back to the days when TOTP had live artists and it was OK to have a complete mong who did silly dance moves in your back up group. (what was that geever on and can I get some, please? 😉 )
Tabs @ 63, Back then I was just a tween and had a big chrush on Stuart Jump (Crystal Palace). Who says white men can’t jump! But it was my big sis who ended up dating him.
Re: Abb @64, Oh no! And I’m already on a yellow for self-assisting. 😉
Enjoy the game with your daughter Trev, its all about the Children today 🙂
But not in connection with Dempsey, of course. 😀
Have you guys seen the latest plans for the new Spud Stadium? ;
http://twitpic.com/7jw2a5
8 Ball @ 67 Too late! Holic was seen dancing and cutting a mean rug all the while muttering, “That’s it 8 Ball, this time you’ve gone too far”!
can’t make me mind up re what 2nd half to half-heartedly watch before The BIG GAME … s’pose it’ll depend which of our nearest rivals is suffering mostest
And tabs don’t what you mean – as i am a one woman at a time sort of a fellow, i am a one blog at a time fellow sort of a fellow. And if anyone tells you any different then they’ll have to face the full-force of some shambolic excuse-making on my part
UreDS!
pardon – don’t ‘know’
H2H – certainly will join you , and I’ll get another one in for that pic of the new spud stadium 🙂
Ned @49 – Back to Regents Park eh . Very close to invoking royal rules which turns the whole thing into a bit of a lottery . At the risk of turning the game into a bit of a stalemate , I’ll pitch up at Chancery Lane .
AL – I believe you , though thousands wouldn’t 😉
abb – Jump by name , jump by nature eh … lucky big sis , though I would have thought she would have set her stall out for a Gooner ! 🙂
Spuds lucky to be level , according to my admittedly dodgy stream .
Off to make myself look lovely for the Juicer . Later , boys and girls .
Have a good ‘un tabs.
I’ve got the tv warmed up downstairs in the bar, but I’m zapping throughhe games now upstairs, every few minutes without hitting the drink counts. 😉
Tabs @ 74, Rule # 1 NEVER have a chrush on a Gunner! That would be unproper. Rule # 2 Screw rule #1! Enjoy the game mates!
’tis true i tell yer tabs – have been resolutely loyal to Mrs.Lester for more years than she’d care to remember. Have a good game old chap!
Up the toooons!
Defoe, you’re on my poop list!
Not too shabby from the Toon.
Man Utd drop points at home but a great point for Newcastle…
Now the traitor is on my poop list, come to think of it, he never came off my ever growing grudge list.
Manc U goal disallowed in the last minute of injury time v 10 man tooon team. Truly do not the football gods look upon The Arse again and grin –
Well, truly one can only possibly say that ifffff we beat Jimmy Hill’s old boys in a bit (don’t wanna come across all Gerv-headed re the FGs)
ComonUMIghtYReDS!
AA gets home start!
An all Lancashire relegation trio is snapping into shape.
Juicer bound .
Good luck everybody .
Come on boys .
THIS IS ARSENAL !!!!
Come on Djourou we need a big performance out of you!
Down to the bar I go……
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!
Win today, and we’re only 5 points from 2nd (and one point from 4th).
No Kos…hope it’s just to give him a rest.
COYRRR!!!
Heh. RvP has scored more goals in the EPL this season than the entire Fulham squad.
Arshavin looking good so far.
Rambo looks so confident
I’m happy for Arshavin, potentially coming back to form?
We’ll have to wait and see 🙂
Nice run by Theo.
Wat a run from WoollY
Played Santos
Enjoying the Waddle commentary.
Apparently the onus is entirely on us to play football, van persie is great, everyone else is shit and Walcott is a disgrace no matter what he does.
I’m so glad I don’t inhabit whatever howling wilderness of a planet it is that this man lives on.
Header on goal…
I sense a favorable wind 🙂
Get in…
He’s a Lurker, he’s a lurker, Wind’s a lurker he is 😀
Now for Van Persie to do the same against Fulham and us to win, and it will have been a good day
The Wind is blowing behind Arsenal today… 🙂
Ty Joshua lol :p
Great skill from Santos
I luv the bonkas Brazilian
lays it off 4 someone
wind swept it in – well played
Ty AL, was this about Leg Rash on Le Grove?
Worth my click for a few laughs you think?
playing okish. Dipped a bit towards the end of the half.Fulham working hard. Our edge seems a bit blunted
We might need a spark in the second half – scene set for ComebakhChamakh – maybe
No worries gents.
We’ll take ’em apart in the second half.
Come on you reds.
Wind, where’d you here that – ay what???
Fulham sitting deeper than a shiteh sheik’s pockets … seriously starting to wonder whether it really might be CombakhChamakh’s time – assuming he’s on the bench
COMONuuuuuuuuuRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDSSSS!!!!!!!!
GGOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL – Chamakh dummy – he’s back!
I love you TV
pardon – bakh
From tabs AL I think, he mentioned it in an earlier post
Potentially just saw Trev and his daughter, pink Arsenal hat?
ESPN Stream of the match.
Aahh, should have won it. Glad we came back though! Overall a bit flat after the mid-week endeavours? Schwarzer made a couple of important saves as well. Will take the point.
I hope there is a good mixture of youth + experience on Tuesday. We should hopefully win against Nasri, Clichy and the other Man City reserve players.
We knew this game was never going to be a walkover. RVP, bit of an off day by his standards.
A point is not all bad though
And Fulham are a bunch pf time wasting cunts
Top of my GRUDGE list 1) Schwarzer 2) Dean; he should have given us a penalty kick AND he was wrong not to call Schwarzer out on time wasting. To be honest, I had a bad feeling about this game, even before it started. Oh, and as for Dempsey, he’s not so sexy after all.
sadly a draw IS a draw
UREDS!
Arsenal to bounce back against Man City, Arshavin to fix the fuck up please?
A point is a point, wish the match could of been better for ‘Holic and the two winners personally…
Damn shame.
Still, a good fight back for a point.
Onwards and upwards.
I’m going to wotk on a future hangover.
Peace ‘holics.
Seriously, what happened to the man who electrified Anfield back in 2009 with a 4 goal MotM performance?
I thought he might of returned for good during our home game against barcelona last season but I seem to have been mistaken 🙁
Some positives….Gervinho…Ramsey never giving up…Diaby looked good…Santos again. Quiet game for Arteta it seemed.
I don’t mind if I never see Arshavin wear the shirt again, time’s up chap. Bad decision after bad decision, horrible passing and couldn’t beat a man. A freak own goal…..we just didn’t need to draw today with Chelsea and the Spuds winning.
Were their to many different types of foreigner on the pitch in our team today. Before the so-called anti-racist brigade go bonkers – it’s a very, very fair question – in fact it couldn’t be fairer.
I mean communication – it’s bound to be, if you like not, able fully be in command in the mother tongue of what is after all the english premier league – the English language – it’s a problem … no?
Cock it!
Now is this going to make unpleasant viewing on MOTD?
Looking forward to seeing manure frustrated.
Leg Rash @ 125 I think it more a case of battle fatigue. RVP showed the world what a class act he truly is, fighting till the bitter end, with dignity. He gave it his all. Now, if that had been Rooney, he would have been sulking, a real piss poor loser he is. Thank god we have Robin, even on an off day, he shines!
Flat. But if you don’t win then make sure you don’t lose. Next!
Think somebody should have explained to the players that giving up a days wages did not mean they didn’t have to give up a days work!
CG @ 128: Couldn’t have put it better. Disappointed but I could be sitting here really arsed off.
Hey – it’s not all bad. Manure dropped 2 points to an iffy pen decision at OToilet. How often does that happen?
Offical Announcement from the Quackery: Nurse Wolfie has gotten her paws, um, I mean hands (heh, heh) on some itch powder that Ollie brought back from France. We intend to use this against the Spurs, but first we must get our hands on Vanderfarts and Bale’s tighty-whiteys. Any volunteers?
Evenings Holics just got back from the game, it was a massive pleasure to meet Holics and other Holics all arounbs O seems to remember loosing Ollie somewhere!
Anyways….
Tad disappointed at the result, what do we have to cencede first to wake up up from the dream fucking land? Makes you wonder!
Had to put the little one to bed so no more drinks after the game, even though you knew you wanted to stay a little while!
Form your TV sets how did that Gervihno looked on TV?
Mike will be remain a Number 1 CUNT!
And Holics come down please….game drawn is not lost!
think we might have lost a game like this last year
A Lester we played some sublime football! But we got caught yet gains as some would say.
Either way we drew cant feel too bad about that Fulham were well Fulham they didn’t score a goal Verlamean got the two!
Great evening, here is to meet of you crazy Holics soon!
I have a “2010-2010 end of season” empty feeling…
Snir @ 136 Cheer up mate. The lads had their moments. Santos really is a delight to watch and he’s growing bolder, with every match. And Diaby is back, yeah!
I don’t want bold, I want that filthy habit of dropping points whenever our rivals drop points to disappear.
I do believe that I met some ‘Holics today.
It’s not the first time but it is becoming a jolly nice habit.
*raises rather full glass*
Evening all. Will attempt to write something on the hPad now. Bear in mind I have seen everything once, then got pissed 😉
thought our mid 3, who’ve been excellent of late, lacked a bit of energy today- probably post recent exertions etc.
Wonder if DRB and g’isalob will get a bit more game time as AW maybe goes for a bit of rotation to try and keep the squad freshish
Onward and, hopefully, upward – UredS!
AB @ 137 – with you re our slightly bonkas Brazilian LB – he does a couple o’ things a game that make me grin
And Lester @ 142 Lester, I see you’ve put on your big boy pants, good for you! We are The Arsenal-We shall prevail, bloody well, we will!
Feeling absolutely spent. Hollow, empty feeling.
I have to take life a bit easier.
Snir @ 144 That’s because you are who you, a passionate gooner, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. BTW, I called off sick at work because I felt so sad about the game. I figured my patients didn’t need Nurse Rachet taking care of them tonite. They deserve better.
Holic, you’ve got mail.
