A Hull Of A Chance For The Squad Members To Step Up
Dec 3rd, 2013 by 'holic
“We are lucky at the moment, we get good warnings. We had a good warning before we went to Cardiff and we have another good warning from Hull’s performance against Liverpool.”
Arsene gives the impression of not underestimating another newly promoted opponent, although there are rumblings of a degree of rotation being lined up. We definitely start without Bacary Sagna, ruled out by a hamstring problem with Carl Jenkinson likely to step up. When you consider any rotation could incorporate recalls for the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Nacho Monreal, Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky and Theo Walcott you can see the strength of the squad starting to become apparent.
Hull arrive fresh from having deservedly taken the points of Liverpool at the weekend with an eyecatching 3-1 triumph. Away from home though they have largely struggled. Their only points on the road were earned by a 2-3 win at Newcastle. They do occupy the last top half of the table berth at present and as Arsene said, have nothing to lose on Wednesday night.
The likely selection of Theo gives us the added advantage of blistering pace to go with a midfield that must terrify opponents before the game even starts. If we can get a fluid, crisp passing game established this game really could end up with any score. That may require more than Flamini to roll his sleeves up and scrap for the right to play in the opening phase. I’ll be keeping an eye out for Matty going head to head with Tom Hundredstone.
With Chelsea and Manchester City facing road trips to Sunderland and West Bromwich respectively this could be another big set of fixtures for Arsenal. Their title credentials are doubted in so many quarters right now. How many more games do we have to be at the top of the pile before people acknowledge that Arsene has once again got a team capable of having a proper crack at the Premier League? Let’s continue to fly under the radar until the pointed end of the season arrives.
The ‘holic pound, a minute or so from paying dividends at Cardiff, is pointed at another convincing win. That owes more to seeking value in a home match than any real conviction, to be fair. A 4-1 home win attracts a best offer of 20/1, so shop around. Hull supporters should definitely consider the 16/1 being offered against them by one High Street bookie. In a two horse race that is massive.
It is destined to be a dry but chilly evening for those going, so if that is you let us hope the quality of the performance is enough to warm the cockles. Those of us hunting a stream may end up wishing we too had gone.
Have a good one ‘holics.

Hull. O
3 zip to the Gunners I reckon.
Well, Hull-0 there!
Ah, zico you beat me to the punch! Heh
‘let’s continue to fly under the radar until the pointed end of the season arrives.’ My thoughts exactly. Cheers Guv.
4-1. Sounds right to me. Interchanging midfield and theo down the right. Too much to handle.
I think we might see a cagey affair if we make many changes to the back line. Jenkinson and Monreal cn swap in but not sure about breaking up Mertescielny. Doesn’t make me feel secure :/
It could be a quiet 1-0 to Arsenal but then again who can predict scores this season eh?
Win the next match.
BMBD
Man Utd
You b*gger Lonestar
4-1 ‘Holic? How many cleansheets do we need to keep before you consider our back 5 capable of keeping one? 😉
I’m quite ok with all of the doubters honestly. I think that can only be good for the team. I prefer them to feel like they have a point to prove than feel like they’re on top of the world lol
Heh @11.
Don’t underestimte them and play to our strengths and we should be alright even if we do the rotation, rotation, rotation.
Taking into account that it may be a different look team, I’ll take a 2-0 to the Arsenal.
On their day, any team can give a performance – I believe this team respects each and every opponent and takes it from there. Another tough physical battle but our class will prevail…3-0 to the good guys.
Logged into the previous post and thought I was into a Reading blog in error;-)
Rotate anybody but just not Ramsey please. It’s almost like saying “No, thank you” to a guaranteed goal a game. HMBD.
Wonderful to see the guv’nor return to tip-top previewing form. Whilst the last post was a breath of fresh air, this is a welcome return to normality (with no distracting references to strange foreign locations from which the match may be watched. Sorry Cent, nothing personal. I am happy to put up with the occasional distraction as the educational value is more than adequate compensation).
I happened across a copy of Tuesday’s Times newspaper this evening which included a piece quoting some bloke from the posh end of Fulham saying how Chel$ea had “a real chance of mounting a challenge for the title” this season, since they were only four points off the lead instead of the ten or more they were this time last season. No mention there of how the leaders are four points clear rather than Lord remembers how far off.
It’s odd that everyone, including we fans, seems to remember the Arsenal of 2008-9 rather than that of 2011-12 and 2012-13. Well, here’s some news: William Gallas has gone, that Catalan fella has gone too, as has the Dutch bloke who followed him wearing the armband. This current Arsenal team doesn’t (judged by the last two seasons) fall apart when the going gets tough. It’s too early to be confident, but it’s entirely forgivable, and quite logical in a way to start hoping. Give it another month and we might even allow ourselves some belief.
I don’t know what the result will be tomorrow, but I would be amazed if the team didn’t give a good account of themselves, and if they do that, they ought to win. It’s not nailed on, but any other result would be a real surprise to most people – although not those who remember 2008-9.

better than the crap I was about to write, and then some.
I think 2-0 looks about right. If we do get a decent lead you can bet we won’t be racing around for 90 minutes to get loads off goals with the games we have coming up. He won’t rotate Ramsey or Giroud but may whip Aaron off if we do get a lead.
I’m going with an old friend from Hull- City of Culture 2017. He emailed me today.
” there will be no strikers on the Piccadilly Line or the Hull team!”
He is very pessimistic. I hope he is right.
If we can get 2 or 3 points out of city and chavski, its time to start being realistic that we have a genuine title chance this season.
If we can get 4 or 6, well, start bulk buying the cheap champagne for next may.
fuck it, it’s going to be April.
May is the CL final.
DoubleCanister@18 – still crap, I hope :-). I have quite the reputation to maintain.
Night all
COYG
Nice words Pangloss- a very appropriate parallel with 2009. We also don’t have poisonous relationships upfront between Adebayor and TGSTEL which cost us that infamous Birmingham game as they didn’t pass to each other!
Gallas was an awful captain and his actions will live long in the memory. Arteta and the BFG are made of better stuff but we also have a club captain who has by all accounts behaved with great professionalism in a very difficult situation. He clearly loves Arsenal and wants to stay and reading Wenger’s comments today he probably will until the end of the season. And he may be very much needed in a long and increasingly tense season
The Everton game on Sunday looks a lot more of a worrier to me than tomorrows night’s game, no disrespect to Hull Kittens FC.
With a flight out to Napoli on Monday there is no recovery time and it’s doubtful Wenger would risk the most important attacking players (Giroud, Ozil, Ramsey) against a very good team like Everton.
It may be necessary to sacrifice the chance to get maximum points against the toffees rather than risk not having our best team available for the more important game in Napoli.
Of course, the team is capable of winning any match they play at the moment but asking them to do that twice or three times a week for the next month is impossible.
Arsene Wenger has said he will rotate, and I really can’t remember far back enough to when he was able to before, or the team had enough quality players to do that effectively.
between the injuries, hatchet jobs and desertions it’s been 3 hard desperate years of pure crisis management.
Roll-on the days of finding ways to squeaze in Poldolski and the Ox into a revolving front 6 of goal scoring in-form attackers from anywhere on the pitch.
And Diaby for the last 10 games.
DC- we need nothing worse than a 2-0 defeat in Naples. I certainly consider the Everton game a priority and I think we will see a very strong side. That’s what you build a squad for.
Diaby to score the title winner? To sleep, perchance to dream.
Our most important game is the next one and should be treated as such.
Four points clear at the top is ‘flying under the radar’?
This is one we should win by many, and about time we did have a big one, imo.
Sadly I won’t be seeing it. Sky NZ’s deal with Arsenal is restricted to one EPL game a week, apparently. Krrrrap!
Öskar
H2H, YELLOW CARD ACCEPTED GRACEFULLY. 😉
I expect SZCZ to be humming this one to himself during the Hull game …
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFCHx6qk-qY
… or at least something on that theme, the exact variant could be updated somewhat. 😉
8ball@30/31, I see our Pole in goal as a pretty high-quality guy with good taste. If he hums at all during matches, I expect that will be the version he chooses.
Morning all.
COYG
H2H has got it spot on@27. We will, I’m sure, see some rotation tonight but I’d be surprised to see wholesale changes. I would also, once again, say that I am increasingly annoyed with all this “but they will get so tired” stuff and for two reasons – one, there is no better thing for regenerating energy than winning games and two, the more you talk about fatigue the more self-fulfilling it becomes. Sitting out just one game here and there is more than enough rest for most players, and let’s not forget the rather massive nine-day gap (i.e. almost like an interlull but with no stupid internationals!) between City away and Chelsea at home. Plenty of time there to recuperate.
Lars@33 knows.
Lars does indeed know! Especially if he drinks brewdog punk ipa at the brewdog bar in Stockholm! Let’s go for a big win with huge intensity from the beginning. 4-0 please!
Thanks ‘Holic. Hopefully Hull will be focusing on their new found cultural obligations, rather than lumpball, tonight affording us another clean sheet. Come on Arsenal.
Missing this one I’m afraid due to a prior arrangement that inadvertently had to be rearranged. I’m looking for a convincing performance and a convincing win tonight. I will try and keep up to date with the score.
December is a massive month for us. I would suggest that this is the month that will see others decide if they are to take us seriously or not. Couple that with the right investment in January and who knows what will happen???? That’s the beauty of football.
To all going tonight, enjoy. I’m missing you already.
8bal @26
I’m with you on that one, would be right up there with ‘that’ Tony Adams goal.
May dreams become reality….
I love the fact that no one of so-called ‘importance’ thinks we’re going to genuinely challenge for the league.
I want us to continue being the underdogs for as long as possible.
But most of all and by some distance I just want to see our team continue playing the way that we are.
UTA !
Our bench was awesome on the weekend v Cardiff and was the first time in a long while I was amazed by the look of our overall squad.
seems arsene finally has an actual squad and bench to call on to win this type of game v the hulls of the comp whilst thinking ahead to bigger scalps.
I am surprised there is not much talk about Gnabry playing a full match with theo…..
Any reason why they both couldn’t play whilst we wait for poldi and give jack or santi an extra unexpected rest?
I have been very impressed with Gnabry on the small cameo roles he has played for us so far and reckon he would tear hull apart.
Spot on Lars @ #33
Plus, I doubt there’ll be much in the way of first team reinforcements coming in January. Maybe a versatile defender who can play right the way across the back 4.
Decemeber is a massive month for us. Let’s start with a win please, no less
Unlike others I feel this fixture is a potential banana skin. 1-0 to the Arsenal, BFG nicking the winner towards the end
Ok so the match is that late?!!!… Won’t see the 90mins. All that matters is the 3points. A clean sheet would be nice too. I think I know we’re gonna lose one of the two matches btw City nd Chelsea so Hull and Everton are must-wins. If we can top the table entering January, we have a better chance of winning the league…provided Wenger doesn’t prioritise UCL as usual. LET IT GO SIR!. COYG!!!.
Also wanna say I read Cent’s previous match review. My chest is wide and full with pride sir. Don’t think Arsenal appreciate the massive following they have in Nigeria. Even fans of other clubs adore us (secretly) altho they would never admit it I tell ya. I can claim they are mostly ex-arsenal fans (maybe?) excluding definitely Man Utd fans… Well, off to do my laundry. Cheers all.
4-0 for me tonight,alrhough I do have a niggling doubt – it might be 5-0 !
Harsha, really ? You don’t mean that. 😉
Steve Bruce – “It’s so difficult to set up against them because the players seem to play anywhere and everywhere. They play with that fluidity and freedom.”
Anywhere and everywhere, I like that.
Heh, TS.
Feeling pretty good about today…time to go grab some destiny (or at least start the trip)
BMBD
Is there any likelihood of a stream tonight?
If not, it will be MOTD, the first 2 hours from Adelaide then sleeping in for work tomorrow morning…..
Come on Australia…….(oops, I mean Arsenal). 👿
zico,
I very much hope that there is going to be some rogue stream, russians are usually reliable in this.
I’ll look forward to your link then Eandy, 🙂
Hehe if I find some of course I am going to share 😀
I will be trying to avoid streams tonight – those bloody police horses piss all over the place. 😉
speaking of which, no streams listed yet but should appear here 30 mins before the game http://livetv.sx/en/eventinfo/202616_arsenal_hull/
Eandy the Streammaster.
If we can score early I think we might see the handbrake applied …and the Krooklok( remember those?) . Don’t think they are looking to go mad tonight with the games we have coming up.
I’m afraid it’s going to be a ” park the bus” evening, not exactly appetising but if we use what pace is available on the flanks we should be OK. Expecting to see Feo/Gnabry from the start, with the other a sub later in the game.
Arsene, please don’t rotate the CBs, I hear this lot are handy at set pieces.
Thermals, woolly hat, gloves, thermos and 2 scarves at the ready for a freezing night.See you all at the Ems, 2-0?
As always COYRs
This game is not going to be a cakewalk. I cannot see wholesale changes at the back or in MF but expect HFB to get a rest (at least until 70′).
Jenks for Bac is clearly enforced, so I cannot see any changes to the CBs tho Nacho may get a start for Gibbs.
Flam for MA8 may happen at 60′ but I expect a starting MF of TR7, Rambo, MA8, LJW and MO11 to start with Santi replacing the leggiest in MF at 70′.
Feo will get his wish to start up front and we’ll just have to see how he does (not convinced here) and how the MF adjust to the changed delivery requirements, the lack of hold-up and the lack of interplay in the build-up.
1-0 to the Arsenal and nails bitten down to the quick is the likeliest outcome for me.
COYG
Some very careful/dull predictions in this bar.
We have scored well against the teams who are new and newer to this division and Hull will not be used to playing against, what Steve Bruce himself describes as, our total football, even if he didn’t use those two actual words.
I expect Hull to be bamboozled by our electric interplay. If some are right, and we do employ the handbrake, I will have to settle for 4-0 ! 😉
Bath, sounds like you need a large Macallan ! 😉
Are we still looking for a windup song to play before our home matches? How about this one, at the very least for matches following interlulls, eurolulls, and even lulls of a more generalized nature? I think the issues surrounding potential lawsuits by Coca-Cola may have already been dealt with by this time.

Interesting to see that Sanogo is rated as the sixth best under21 player in Europe.
Ahead of him are Pogba, Lukaku, Draxler, Varane, Marquinhos and behind him are Janujaz, Bruma, Fischer and Icardi.
Dunno about tonight – I think Hull will park a couple of buses and make it frustrating. Even if we get an early goal, I think with all the high-profile games coming up, the lads might choose to play it tight, as at Cardiff, to conserve energy. So I’d be surprised to see a big score, but pleasantly surprised of course.
When is Sanogo likely to be available, Cent? Before or after Diaby? (BD or AD 🙂 )
Thanks Trev @59. Don’t mind if I do. Cheers, mate. 😀
Oskar — are you in Auckland? You would be welcome to come round to my place to watch the games.I bought the Premier League Pass internet package which gives me every Premier League game Live or on demand.
Hoping for a win this evening folks – be shocked if it went the other way, but hey, you never know.
Woudnt mind seeing Gnabry unleashed!
Cent@63: where do these ratings come from ?
Good evening hölics & hölices,
Great preview to be followed by a great performance at the Ems. I’d go with Trev on 4-0 but if we’re going to see a change n DEF & MF, I’d stick with the maestro on 4-1.
Whichever way, it’s 4 goals to the Reds. I reckon Özil/Giroud to start on the bench to create room for Theo, who’s likely to start.
For the love of Guinness, let’s ‘Hull’ our ‘Arsenal’ at them.
All the best to home fans in flesh & blood.
ÄD
Howdy ‘holics.
Once again Fox has bent me over and gone at it roughneck style.
Will be stream hunting, advanced thanx Eandy, but probably won’t get to see much of the game. 🙁
Good evening everybody 🙂
Nervous already? I’m firing slowly up.

Oops ! Esso cuts & pastes much quicker than thumbsie, here….
Are we feeling a bit bendy tonight? Well. Let’s go Arsenal!!
sc gooner, it’s online on nbc sports live extra.
zico, it’s because it’s christmas. st. nick is going to start breaking into houses everywhere, so perhaps mr. wenger thought it appropriate for our own nick to start.
nice preview, holic. agreed with cent, let’s fly onwards, low and fast.
Come on Nicky B. If you want to go to Barca or Real, tonight is the start of your journey. Score a hat trick, son.
Cent @ 64 – “Icardi”? I guess we should rum him down as well.
I’ll get me coat.
COYRRRs. BMBD
while i’d like to see ozil on the bench and gnabry in the starting lineup, that’s one heck of a bench.
Thanks all.
The 4-1 is now 22/1 with Bet Victor.
On it.
go holic! that’s at least a couple-three glenfarclas shots if you plunk one down.
I would much prefer Theo instead of TGSEL as I’m sure would most gooners
TGSTEL hits for a brace.
You heard it here first. Might be a good supplement to the ‘Holic Pound, Guvna.
BMBD
i wish the front three would be santi, theo, and gnabry, chrisg.
no way TGSTEL can go 90 mins.
Feo to come on after half.
homer, apparently he’s been working out late at night, so maybe…
Always feel nervous with this must-win games.
Bendtner up-front and Jenkinson doesn’t make me feel any better. Would be really nice if they surprise me.
COYG!
Fair enough Scruz.
But to be honest, I’d love to see Bendtner grab a goal. It’d be good for his confiden … er.
Right, never mind.
It’s a Bendy night fellas? COYRs
lol, homer. we know he’ll score if they park the bus. he just has to kick the doors open…
The list I posted earlier was the top ten for the Golden boy award, the under 21 version of the Balon d’or. Pogba won it obviously.
Breaking and entry is not the B-52’s calling card…he’d rather jump on your car,
or drop trou.
BMBD
lonestar, he kicked in the doors of his luxury flat’s swimming pool when his key fob wouldn’t open them…
if he drops trou again wenger’s going to sic wolfie on him.
speaking of wolfie, where the heck has tabs been?
This is such a big game for Bendtner.
He simply must score against Hull City, with Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil and Rosicky behind him. I know I could. Backheel. Barefooted. With one plastered leg. With Mrs. Lurky on my back. Yelling…
Like this!
Ahh … the easy Bendtner shots. Too much fun.
But seriously now – he’s out there in Arsenal colors and I hope has an absolute stunner.
Chris.
Hull sit deep, making Theo’s wicked pace a moot point.
I’m no Bendy fan per se, but I understand why Le Boss would put him in over Theo.
Plus it’s nearly xmas, time to put the merchandise you wanna shift in the window. 😉
Yeah, I heard it was his mates that actually did the deed, scruz. At any rate, he is quite a buffoon.
BMBD
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!
Perfect stream. The last one, which opens with Sopcast app and is 2000 kbps.
http://livetv.sx/en/eventinfo/202616_arsenal_hull/
huh, let’s hope they’re easy bendy shots, those are the ones that go in, homer.
with tom hundredstone in the middle we’ll be forced wide in all cases, just so as not to hit him.
lonestar, i’d read his actual admission, i think his mates helped him, but he also got a few good kicks in. either way, you’re right, he’s certainly no saint.
come on you gooners! an early goal, then bring home the holic pound!
come on you reds!
Exactly Lurky, watching that one and is flawless, and I dont even mind Russian commentary
3 at the back by hull? really?
4-1 with Bendtner up front – do me a favour.
Bendy you beauty!
Ha Ha BEENNDDDY
I told you…..
BMBD
yessssss!
Shut my mouth!
BENDY!
what a pass by Aaron and what a cross!
Morning all nice start
damn, what a START. is wenger a genius, or what. great ball by jenks, great throughball by rozza.
Passing looks slick and quick already
Arsene knows. Rotation the right move tonight – that’s a strong side we’re fielding, good enough to beat Hull at home.
Nicky B is a Gooner (for at least another few weeks). Got to trust the manager and get behind the shirt.
COYG
Can anyone confirm If Gnabry is injured or other
oooh, almost for aaron…what pressure we’re putting on their goalie right now.
should have been two up:O
Brace for Bendtner? Why so unambitious?
aussie, he’s been in and out with his bad ankle, apparently.
Fox sports commentator calling it a training run for arsenal.
OOoooo
Unlucky
Cheers scruz
ooooh, that should have been three.
oooooo agonizingly close!
at least nick is in the right place right time at this point.
wait for it…
BMBD
add second guys please
ooooh, again. damn, almost.
COME ON YOU REDZZZ
i think we’re going to see a lot of corners for our boys today.
Come on guys, get that 2nd in there!
Bfg fuming and goes off at ref for free kick
How the fuck is that a foul?
what?..never a foul
Ooooh close
aaron, forcing the save. great shot.
aaaaah almooost
everything we’re doing is *nearly* working. let’s get it just that additional margin and make it work.
Could do with a second goal just before the break!
Correct Scruz
Not clicking perfectly, we are close, but that last click needs to come more often please
Uh oh bad tackle on cazorla
Monreal such a top team player and really starting to like his style of play in general
Same here Aussie
Nice to have him AND Gibbs in our team 🙂
Wow ozils pass on the break a pin point curler to bendy.
He is like a precision weapon
Keep it tight at the back lads
Another close call by the arse on the break
arrrrgh so close so many times!
Aaaah, we should be 3 up by now
beautiful delayed break there. nicely done, though ozil didn’t quite get there.
At least
We pressed well and only to be one nil up is a bit unlucky!
Come on Arsenal!
even though we’re not up five by now, we’re playing a very professional game at the back.
One touch and two touch passing sublime and as scruz said earlier just need that bit extra margin of perfection
good first half, should have been 2 or 3 up already
Alright, time for some fresh air
Suarez a Hattrick in first half
Liverpool game on the other tv at the boozer. If you get a chance to see the goals Suarez has scored tonite…….
Looking good and in complete control, however, we really need to learn how to put these games to bed. At one nil the opponants will always have hope, we need to be a little more ruthless.
Just saw the replay, what a cross by Jenks
Good performance in the first half. However, we need to be more ruthless in front of the goal. Santi especially needs to find his shooting boots.
Just saw Bitey O Toole’s goals.
The first was a screamer, third not too shaby either.
Here go Holics second half just about to start!
Come on you Reeeeeeeeeedddddddssssss!
H2H. We should tear these guys apart as they look very average at best and just not handling our ball speed
Couldn’t agree more H2H.
The amount of chances weve missed is unbelievable.
We should be home and hosed with a few subs made by this stage to rest players for Sunday.
here we go again, second half. let’s rock and roll-em and bring home the holic pound!
What a goal by ramsey
What. A. Goal!!!!
Get in the OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOzzzzzzzzzzzzziillll!
Yeeeeeees
Pass from ozil out of this world
yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh…..
Aussie????
what a goal!

Just wasted money that Özil buy eeeh?
OOOooooooozzzzziiiil
Wow we look dangerous and ramsey passing as good as ozil.
BIG GOAL!!
Apologies for earlier error between ozil and ramsey.
Our midfield quality is hard to distinguish.
They are all playing like ozil
Wow another chance created between ozil and ramsey
What a duo
god, nbc sports live extra is worse than a lot of streams.
Aussie no worries mate fancy a scooner? 🙂
Foreign language I think Lars would understand this!

Sunderland just scored 😉
oooh, nick’s header cleared off the line.
Where’s the card???
Ozil full of energy tonight and creating havoc
hull reinforcements coming in.
Always free for a schooner arthur
pings it across the box…
hull getting away with a lot.
On another pitch, Sunderland equalised 😉
Pass
nacho, nacho man…
Apologies about the spelling Aussie the schooner business that is!
To be honest Bendtner looks rusty he wasn’t that bad for us in the past!
Cazorla magic too much for hull who just have no answer for our midfield
oooh, cheeky santi.
cheers, datsyuk.
Nice one Scruz
Delicious football by the Arsenal eh?
Ouch Woj
Come on Wojtus !!!!
boy, we are very nearly playing them off the park. but only very nearly.
Santis pass to Bendy now just shown how good Girouds touch is at that near post.
brave chezza…
BTW Wojtus is saying Mikey…sweet way!
Easy on the eye football
Arsenal fans singing to Hull fans:
“You’re not City,
You’re not City,
You’re not City anymore!
You’re not City anymore!”
Haha! Brilliant 😀
og warming up.
Giroud is warming up ?
Arsene always knows best
Flam does such a good job in that role that our CB,s only need to mop up instead of previous seasons they were always putting out trouble.
He takes all the pressure off them perfectly
Hmm… why wouldn’t you give Walcott some minutes?
Hes gotta be itching to bag one.
Gedo coming on! First appearance by a holic in the Premier League if I’m not mistaken? lol 😀
lol, cor!

nicki b. well in, nick. the best shift you’ve pulled all year.

Wellplayed Ramsey (Clapping) 😉
Well done aaron top game

Did someone forbid them from shooting? 🙁
Everton one up!!
Everton one up !!!!!!
H2H you must be a mind reader 🙂
just not quite clicking tonight, even with some of the sublime stuff we’ve seen.
well, that was lucky.
Damn, Chelsky riding theyr luck again?
Job done, nice win 🙂
game over. 2-0, another clean sheet. h2h called it, iirc.
Very very professional job done, some stuff was sublime, somewhere still not clicking but from the Bendys goal, never in doubt today.
Yet another great performance I don’t think we can complain too much!
Come on you free scoring, never boring Arsenal!
Another clean sheet and zero yellow cards! Great bit of footie!
And big heh to United.
I’m going to get some Polish beer Aussie a Polish Schooner for you!
EvertonManure lose at home to Everton.I love clean sheets.
That Hull lot were piss poor though, have to say.
Didn’t see much of the second half, in fact, the stream was so sticky that there is still six minutes to go. 😉
Manure move up to just 12 points in back of Arsenal.
Uh, sorry, it looks like they moved down to that position. Must have been misinformed the first time. 😉
Enjoy Arthur and crown lagers all round for the holics
I hate the fact that Chelski rode their luck again, but their defense looks to be very leaky this year.
Oviedo is my new favourite player 😀
This result will put Moyes in trouble I think. Also hearing on Twitter that RVP has put in a transfer request to leave in January because he doesn’t like playing under Moyes. If that is true that will be hilarious…
Another classy performance from the good guys. I see the toffees have turned over scum utd, they will give us our most testing premier league game so far at the weekend, I’m really looking forward to seeing how we cope with them. At least they will come to play football unlike Moyes’ teams and it should be a thrilling encounter. Well done to the lads for tonight, a comfortable and convincing victory and another precious three points in the bag.
COYG
Another job done. Well done lads. An especial toast to the long lost NB who put in a good shift. Come on son, you can win a medal here.
Clearly we also need to do the job on Chav$ki and $hitteh ourselves.
COYG.

We certainly need to do a job with those two silly rich clubs and it’s fair to say we need to get at least four points out of these two games!
These next 3 games will decide and define our season methinks. Nervous and excited. COME ON ARSENAL !!!
However before that we need to beat Everton first!
Santi is slowly coming back to form, the final ball and the finish are yet a little rusty … last year’s Santi would have had at least one goal today. Some of his close control and passing today were just magnificent. And the defensive discipline and the work-rate are so nice to see.
The Ozil to Theo route will prosper sooner or later — today there was another glimpse — but would work better with Theo cutting in from right and being harder to mark.
Towards the end the defenders and Szczesny did lose a bit of concentration, that was a bad mistake from Szczesny…this though tends to happen when the opposition has been so dominated but an area to improve.
Bendy looked rusty but very much bothered, did an okay impersonation of Giroud’s tireless performance … a little more sharpness and commitment and consistency whenever called upon and he may still be useful this season.
Good game by Carl and Monreal.
FIVE changes tonight and not a single player looked out of place. Depth, yeah?
I thought Santi and Mesut looked like they are starting to click together, very promising signs for the future.
What a game it was, expected more but give me 2-0 anyday and I’d rub it in.
Good to see Bendtner ‘Nick’ that one in. Great show, excellent entertainment, the best clubs with fans miles ahead of other clubs. Always happy to be a gunner.
Who’s next?
@267: Spot on Cent! I was worried all day about what would happen if we rotate too much but the guys linked well and did a great job. Enjoying those 3 points!
I just read something ona Polish football site and I believe hi 100% correct!
Here is a translation:
Wenger apparently keeps a good atmosphere in the team, because it shows on the field. Effects rip and diligence. Sustainability, precision, self-confidence, but also respect for the opponent. No big names, with the exception of Oezila, who has pleasure in giving out the exact balls on the stem so that almost every fool that he scored. Getting rid of the star selfish, RVP, in the long run, well done to the whole team, equalized forces and strengthened the team play, but also gave everyone more confidence. Perhaps the only Chelsea has a chance to compete with Arsenal this season. Though, of course, may work many other factors. For example, MU began to disperse, City too, and Arsenal have a bit of a downhill. Fatigue may occur. We will also see how the players of Arsenal abolish psychological burden liderowania. So far the most consistent playing team in the league.
*liderowania = being top of the league
Who is top of the league Arthur? 😉
i like being liderowania!
I’m hoping to spend the next 5-6 months in liderowania. Should be a blast!
Very kind of you, IF, but I’m in Welly so a bit far to commute! Apparently Sky are working on the problem so should be sorted in the future. The two Manc games are being broadcast so it’s only us and the neighbours and who’d want to watch the latter anyway??
Disappointed we didn’t score more today. Manshitty look our greatest threat now and they are scoring goals for fun. If it comes to goal diff we have some catching up to do.
I note AW didn’t rest either of our CDs. Defensive cover is a bit of a weak spot in the squad which needs as much fixing in January as Giroud support, imo. I suggest offering Raph Varane a step-up from our feeder club. 😉
Öskar
Another 3 points in the bank. Good job, Everton next am loving this !!!!!!!
Arsenal = Liderowania!
Thanks Holics you lot are the best!
Just home from the pub. Very pleased with the night, it would have been nice to get some help from the likes of Fulham and Sunderland et cetera but I fully expected all of Liverpool, Totnum (I said it long ago and I’ll say it again – Fulham are utter pony this season and will be relegated), Chelsea and ManCity to win. What I didn’t expect, however, was that David Moyes would finally, after all these years, manage to guide Everton to a win at Old Trafford. Well played Mr Moyes, can you now perhaps take Everton to the next lev… oh, right!
Anyway.
We beat Cardiff 3-0 away, make five changes and steamroll Hull 2-0 in a game where their keeper and some luck saved them from a total hammering. Well played boys and credit where credit is due: well played, Bendtner. A committed effort, never hid and even though he was probably more motivated for selfish reasons he still did a very good job for the team as a whole. I also really liked the reaction from the rest of the team when he scored, they all seemed really happy for him which to me indicates that despite everything he is actually appreciated within the team.
And make no mistakes about it, even if it was “only” Hull, making five changes and still totally dominating your opponent will make others take note.
Sunday will be a massive game. Bring on the Toffees!
Can you imagine the look on Martinez face? Priceless!
Lars some Polish Lech in a bottle on …..my…. well your tab! 🙂
A word about Carl Jenkinson.
Apart from the excellent cross for the first goal, he had a very steady game which will have done him a lot of good. The few times he was under any pressure, he kept his cool, no risky crossfield passes, played it safe and secure. He maybe wasn’t so gung-ho going forward as he has been, but that’s possible another sign of him learning and maturing. All in all, a very encouraging performance for a 21-year-old.
We are liderowania, say we are………….
Cheers Lars
Isn’t it fun to watch what Moy doesn’t do to Eve but to Manu now 🙂
Lets see what those Twats on MOTD have to say!
Good to see Chelsea leaking goals again.
Man City is the only opposition this season.
So many nice drinks above. Keep ’em coming.
Can’t write off Chelsky so early dk. They manage to win by one a lot
Cheers Arthur 🙂
SAY WE ARE LIDEROWANIA, SAY WE ARE LIDEROWANIA!
dk, shame on me for neglecting to mention the Corporal. A solid game with few (if any?) mistakes. And as you say, the cross for our first was absolutely world class.
Datsuyk, I spoke to two ManU mates down the pub after the game and they were totally heart-broken. They (as did I, I might add in the interest of honesty) thought he was the right choice for them but they are now having serious doubts. Apparently they were a shambles today, created almost nothing and rarely threatened Everton. I now genuinely think that Moyes may very well be gone in a week unless they win on Saturday.
Hazard what a prick!
Own goal as well……………….
Hope they run out of luck just before christmas Arthur
dkg
I disagree with you about Jenks.
We had little to do all night – so the defence was hardly tested. If ever there was a game to give Jenks a run out, this was it.
When the great Bacary does move on, I just don’t see Jenks taking over the mantle at right back. We’re nowhere near as strong on the right as we are on the left – and it needs to be addressed. I think if we were playing against Chelsea or Citeh and Sagna was absent, Wenger would play Flamini/Kos at right back before Jenks.
A penny for RVPs Thoughts right about now 🙂 Haven’t heard from that Cunt Evra either for a good few months, wonder why !?!
Some of the passing and movement at the mo is just sublime that could quite easily have been 4/5 after 15 minutes, On to tougher tasks but you know what it’s fun watching Arsenal again Happy Days.
Let’s hope the Boards offer of 40 million and £2 pound does the trick in January as if this team add another top notch striker to the ranks the sky really is the limit over the next few years
Up The Arse !
HAhahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa
They played a beautiful game!?????????????????
Arthur
What the hell was he talking about?
Datsyuk with studs
Fuck knows!
Lidorewania – word of the season!
COYG
Pass down the right into final third
And nods it in
Assist?
Agree, Chelsea are our main threat. City not far behind, but Chelski had the required mixture of quality, long bench and experience. Add to that their nonexistent injury list and ever existent luck and they are the most dangerous team in the league, bar us.
Anyway, if I am Arsene I would really want to know how much money exactly Liverpool want for Suarez. Then pay them what they want.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Haahaha, TaBS would be proud of me though.
some thoughts…
everyone is banging on about Suarez being the best player in the PL…yet he was quiet against Arsenal and nothing happened against Hull last weekend…the best?
haven’t watched the game yet as am in NY but from what this bar is saying we seem to have created loads of chances but lacked the finishes…similar to Cardiff game…any thoughts as to why? hope that improves…
seems that Ozil and Ramsey have struck up a wonderful pairing..I think Ozil knows that if he feeds Ramsey, Aaron has the killer instinct to finish it off (though it was the other way this evening!)
judging by Cardiff, Santi’s form is not there yet…losing way too many balls…hope it returns very soon…but his goal against Liverpool was brilliant!!
Arsenal don’t seem to be having ‘thriller’ games at the moment…unless it is ‘thriller’ to see if they make it up from 1-0 each game…would be nice to see them banging them in mercilessly…
Anyway, really to happy to see the 3 points…now on to the Napoli game…would be over the moon to win that and top the group! Everton will be tough I think…let’s hope for the best!! COYG!!!
