The Run Ends As Everton Fight Back
Dec 13th, 2016 by 'holic
So what did I know beforehand? Nothing. Arsene made the obvious enforced change of Hector Bellerin for Skhodran Mustafi but otherwise kept faith in the players who swept West Ham and Stoke away. Could we retain the goal threat and fluidity displayed in recent weeks?
Everton rested Gareth Barry but the midfield trio still retained a combative look. Deulofeu, Mirallas and Funes Mori found themselves dropped to the bench. Ronald Koeman said beforehand what he expected from his team to stop the Arsenal from playing. I don’t think we needed to be told.
“We need to be more compact, more aggressive.”
Arsenal threatened an early opener but an Alexis through ball just slid a yard ahead of Theo Walcott and Stekelenburg dropped on the ball. Everton’s response? A corner that was easily dealt with by the Gunners.
In the seventh minute we clicked into gear down the left flank. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain found the overlapping Nacho Monreal and his cross was fired over by Mesut Ozil. At the other end we had Francis Coquelin to thank for covering the central defenders and clearing a Lukaku cross for a corner.
Arsenal were allowed possession in front of Everton’s two banks of four and the visitors patient probing, with Granit Xhaka prominent, was keeping the home fans quiet. Everton were in trouble when again Monreal crossed in from the left and Williams clearance eventually found its way to Francis Coquelin. The French midfielder was brought down by Jagielka on the edge of the box and he got a yellow card for his troubles. Alexis took the free-kick and saw his drive deflected into the net by the hapless Williams.
Everton 0-1 Arsenal
“Come to see the Arsenal, you’ve only come to see the Arsenal.” Over three thousand travelling Gooners filled the night air with song. Lennon tried to lift the hosts spirits with a mazy run but Gabriel blocked his attempted shot. The 28th minute saw Laurent Koscielny grimacing and clutching his back but he played on without treatment.
Another Lennon run raised the temperature but he lifted his attempt high and wide as the Arsenal defence stood strong. We broke with pace and Alexis found Ozil on the left but the attempted cut-back was cleared by the Toffees. The tackles were now snapping in as the midfield duel went to the next level.
A free-kick award which clearly angered Arsene Wenger wasn’t dealt with decisively by Monreal and Lennon again fired over. McCarthy was fortunate to see only yellow for a cowardly late double challenge from behind on Coquelin. As the half drew to a close Baines cut inside Walcott all too easily and his cross found his fellow full-back Coleman in between Koscielny, nudged forward by McCarthy, and Monreal for a glancing header inside the far post.
Everton 1-1 Arsenal
Another cheap shot on Ozil on the whistle made for lively scenes as the teams disappeared down the tunnel. It was good to see the yellow shirts unite for whatever was about to happen.
Arsenal restarted brightly. Ozil and Alexis combined to give Walcott a headed opportunity which resulted in a corner. Xhaka picked out Alexis on the left with a wonderful ball but the home side closed out the Chilean. Coquelin was next to feed Alexis, he crossed for his mate Ozil, but the genius lifted another real good chance over the bar.
Ten minutes after the break Everton made a break and Coquelin brought Baines down from behind before he reached the box. It proved to be a worthwhile risk when Coquelin himself jumped to head Barkley’s free-kick clear.
Back came the Gunners and Bellerin looked to set Ozil free but Stekelenburg made a brave save as Baines clattered into his team-mate’s orchestra stalls. After a lengthy break Barkley tested Arsenal’s rearguard again but his drive was wide of Cech’s far post. Both sides were now hunting the advantage which made for a gripping watch.
Coquelin drove into the box again and Everton struggled to clear. Alexis again picked out Monreal who had two bites at the cross. Somehow the bluenoses survived a spell of intense pressure. That resulted in the first substitution with Lennon making way for Mirallas in the 68th minute. Lukaku outpaced Gabriel down the left but the Brazilian made a wonderful recovery challenge in the box.
Cue a double substitution with Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott making way for Olivier Giroud and Alex Iwobi for the final twenty minutes. Monreal single-handedly denied Lukaku and Coleman in quick succession. Moments later we somehow survived an old-fashioned goalmouth scramble when Iwobi toe-poked the ball away from Lukaku at point-blank range.
At the other end Iwobi was on the end of a move instigated by Monreal and Alexis but he couldn’t sort his feet out and find the finish. Alexis then looked for Bellerin in the box but again Stekelenburg was quick to sweep up behind his defence. Valencia was next to be substituted by debutant Calvert-Lewin as Everton sought to relieve the pressure.
The impressive Gueye welcomed Giroud to the match by clattering the big man from behind. I’m not sure he will be an Everton player for long. The same player looked to create an opening for Mirallas but Cech was quick to grab the ball. Koscielny saw yellow for a sliding tackle on McCarthy. Everton were coming again, and Cech produced a fabulous diving save to deny Jagielka.
The reprieve was temporary. Williams was allowed a free run at Barkley’s cross and the central defender powered in his header. Arsenal had crumbled with just four minutes left.
Everton 2-1 Arsenal
Lucas was sent on for Coquelin, a last desperate throw of the dice, and he was close as Stekelenburg pouched an Alexis cross. Funes Mori was sent on for McCarthy to close out the game. Jagielka saw a red card in the last of four added minutes for a foul on Lucas. In a frantic ending Iwobi saw his effort kicked off the line by Baines but it wasn’t to be the Arsenal’s night
The Gunners fourteen match unbeaten run in the Premier League is but a memory tonight. What is important is how we react. On Sunday we will find out at Manchester City. Tonight all we can do is congratulate Everton on a committed performance and taking their chances.

Get in……
You snooze, you lose.
Now to read the post.
We shouldn’t get worked up about a first defeat since August, but nevertheless, this match proved that we don’t have the necessary mental desire to be champions.
Spot on report, Holic. Exactly the game I saw. Entertaining and disappointing both. Two poor goals to lose. Some excellent stuff from Arsenal from beginning to end but the legs were beginning to tire from about 70 minutes on…….
Four days rest for recovery.
I felt that we should have brought Giroud on earlier than the 70th minute.
Here’s to three points at Citeh.
BO’B@3: or that we can still defend sloppily at times.
I don’t think it proves anything of the sort, BOB. Just my opinion though.
Nice write up Holic. I thought we played in patches tonight. At times we played well but we were just not clinical enough.
The stats will show a very typical Arsenal performance. The majority of possession but yet again, very few shots on target.
One final point. When Cech goes up for corners. If he scores with a header would he be the first player ever to score in a hat???
With all due respect it shows nothing of the sort Barack.
Unlucky in the end. We looked like a team with key players who had played three games in eight days.
*off to read the Guvna’s pearls*
Ah, the man beat me to it. 😉
Steve T @ 8, would it be a hat trick?
We were poor against crosses today and conceded twice. They were more energetic and wanted it more and we were strangely off key. Did not create enough though we were unlucky to lose especially as a penalty against Sanchez was not given. City will not pose different type of problem but we will be up against West Brom’s physical game again immediately after that. This comes just days after Theo’s talk about this teams mental resolve. Today Theo and even Bellerin were a bit off colour. Bellerin one can understand but for others it is the accumulation of all the matches player over the last ten days?
Boss was strangely calm in the presser after the match, probably accepting that our loss was justified.
Losing the lead, not to mention conceding in the last ten minutes of each half, is not good. Certainly not when you have the opportunity to go top of the league. Soul searching time.
Clattenberg once again acts oversmart and costs us a game. The free kick which led to the corner for Everton’s winner emanated from Koscielny getting angry because of an opposition player (barkley I think) raising an elbow into his eye and Clattenberg completely ignoring it. But the foul on Sanchez at the end was as clear a penalty as any and the smartass just waved play on as if Sanchez had dived!! Ridiculously over rated referee and someone who always wants to show off instead of being in the background. Cost us a point today for sure.
Fine report Guvna. The match I saw. We will face a very different problem at the weekend. I hope the physics are going on overtime tonight.
A consolatory Dalmore 12 yo on the bar for you Guvna and all local aficionados.
ksn. Every time Theo talks about our mental resolve we have a bad game.
BTM?
Bind Torture Murder?
Fine establishment this is…
Bath @ 12. He he…
Desi. Can’t see how you can blame the ref???
They have just shown the Alexis incident again on BT Sport. Definitely not a pen. Ref got that spot on.
First defeat in the league since the opening day,and the moaners/groaners and misery guts cannot wait to pounce.
Suddenly Sanchez is dogshit,Ozil as well, according to Cynic.
Now apparently we have no bottle, don’t like it up us,and will be lucky to make the Europa league.
Even a Saint would have to count to 10,if he was sat next to any of the above at the Ems.
Pathetic.
We lost through a combination of our poor defending, lack of creating clear cut chances against a team, spurred on by the home fans, who were more aggressive and gave 120%.
Not one of our better nights, we have to move on and do better against Citi, where I will be cheering them on.
COYRs
Steve T even the usually despicable Alan Shearer said it was a penalty. I don’t know what BT sport showed but replays from all angles especially from the side Clattenberg was on clearly showed Alexis was tripped by Mirallas.
And the Koscielny incident I mentioned was not even replayed by the TV networks.
I put it down to tiredness. We gave it a couple of rushes, but ran out of steam. Alexis tried as only he can, but without creating much, Mesut had another poor one, Theo was invisible, Ox was Ox, lots of energy but no end product, Coq looked on the edge of a red much of the time, Xhaka failed to assert authority, Kos and Gab worked hard and Nacho and Belle were probably our two best.
How we perform at Middle Eastlands may well set the tone for the rest of the season. Perhaps it’s time to give some bench players a run … OG (for Ox) and El Niño (for Coq) definitely and Ramsey if he’s fit for Özil, perhaps Iwobi for Theo. There just isn’t a sub for Alexis so he’ll have to play whether he wants to or not… D)
D) should have been 😀
@21 Just skip past the whiners, Sweeper. Not worth the pulse rate rise.
I’m not feeling the gloom. Arsenal played very well tonight and should have won that game. Disappointing but nobody died.
I have two ‘wonders’ though. Is Holding a better deputy for Mustafi than Gabriel? Is it time to start Perez on the right of the front three?
Dalmore, and complimentary. Yum 🙂
I’ll point out again I am not inclined to mention the referee when we lose, unless he is so poor that he affects the result. Whilst the corner wasn’t a corner for the winner his decision was understandable in the circumstances. Other than that I won’t critique him tonight.
Desi. BT Sport use Howard Webb to analyse decisions. They looked closely at this one. Shearer is unfortunately wrong. I’ve seen it again and Mirallas clearly wins the ball. He kicks it onto Alexis who then goes down. It’s no penalty, as much as you, me and everyone else wants it to be.
It always entertains me how quickly some of our fans demonstrate a profound deficiency of ‘bottle’ in so quickly accusing our players of lacking the very same mettle or simply becoming crap. The mirror calls, methinks.
BtM @26. Golden ‘wonders’. My answers would be: possibly and definitely.
The corner incident was interesting. I don’t know anyone at the time that did not think that it was a corner. I certainly did and I don’t remember any Arsenal protests? Then I listened to AW and he could see clearly that it was a goal kick? Now, for a man who has struggled at times to see things under his nose, you have to applaud the irony.
🙂
BTM. I think the answer to both of your questions is no. I’m not convinced that Gabriel is good enough but I really don’t think Holding is ready yet. I also think that Theo would give us more on the right that Lucas.
We have often struggled at corners and set plays. We are not a tall side and when we are without the BFG and Ollie G we do lack a lot of height. That can work to our detriment. I do think that in games like this we do lack physicality. I know Xhaka was bought to add strength but I stil think it’s a weakness of ours.
Tonight we lost for a number of reasons. Delia’s first paragraph sums it up perfectly for me.
Steve, there is always a monitor near the dugouts, and the tv people quickly and freely let the staff of both sides and the fourth official know what has happened. I think either the PL or the FA have tried to outlaw this but I think blind eyes are turned to the companies who are financing football to such a huge degree. I do believe on occasion the fourth official may have contributed to an on-pitch decision as a a result.
BTM
I would have brought Perez on instead of Ollie, witness the difference he did make in the infitesimal time he was on the pitch.
We were still trying to play football at that stage, despite being kicked from pillar to post.
But Arsene probably thought it would damage Ollie mentally if Perez was sent on ahead of him, effectively meaning he was down to 3rd in the pecking order up front.
You know how hysterical the French can get, seeing plots and subterfuge where there are none.
As for Gabriel,in hindsight he should have stayed at right back, with Holding in the middle.
Hector clearly was behind the 8ball physically, given he wasn’t expected to play 75 mins on Saturday.
Have an enjoyable trip on Sunday, Delia.
You might well be right H. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. As for me? I will have to play my Wenger card and say that at the time, “I did not see it.”
Put this one to bed and on to Sunday. I just hope they don’t drop Bravo.
I thought we really missed Mustafi tonight. It’s no coincidence that he has yet to finish on the losing side. I’m very disappointed that some fans can write us off after one defeat to a team who haven’t lost at home this season. We came very close and certainly deserved a point but both goals were disappointing.
I think Steve may have a point about Holding but we’ve nothing to get too depressed about as long as we can bounce back positively on Sunday
Obviously we did try hard towards the end but it wasn’t enough and too late well too late for my liking not trying to be negative here just want the Arsenal to win ?
This was from my previous drinks too many John Smiths and red wine to write anything positive, anyways we were unlucky but the first half was meant t be won on our part otherwise you get sour endings like those tonight!
Up early (Oz time), found a decent stream from Vietnam and eventually wished I hadn’t.
I thought we looked a little jaded and our inability to handle balls into the box cost us – not for the first time. A free header for Williams.
I really thought this would be three points so I’m disappointed but not heartbroken. I agree with Holic that the response against City will tell us more than what happened tonight.
UTA.
@31, Steve. You may well be correct on Holding’s readiness. I’d like to start Perez, Sanchez and Theo/Ox up front in Manchester on Sunday. I like Perez commitment.
Sweeper, mental damage? Didn’t think that was part of your lexicon. Broken legs, collar bones, kicked goolies, yes. But mental damage? I think you’ve been spending too much time on the blower with Arsene.
🙂 🙂
Ha ha BTM
Far from it mate!
COTA!
BtM, tell me you are coming to Burnley at home in January. We need to partake in some libation sir. 😉
Can we please do Yoga first?
Sorry Arthur, no! 🙂
It will only be if there’s a freebie on offer H.
🙂
Shame Holic and I thought BTM was going to hold my back 😀
Arsenal played very well tonight and should have won that game
Nope. Not enough attacking threat, poor defending.
We’ve also conceded a goal (or more) in our last seven league matches. If we’re going to win the league the habit of keeping clean sheets is one we have to learn. It’s ok beating rubbish 5-1 but the 1 is a killer if you’re drawing games (like United and Spurs) and your rivals are winning them.
It’s not all doom and gloom obviously, but we need to be much tighter defensively.
I only live for freebies, Steve, you know that – but they’re few and far between these days.
I probably need to do the Burnley double, Holic. Went up to Tough Moor two seasons ago and we came away with a hard-won 1-0. The Bronte’s House was more entertaining than that game though. If you promise me that the Holic Pound will be on 2-1, and that Steve will get a round in, I’ll be there.
🙂
Cheers H! Disappointing performance and result. And that’s it.
I was at that game as well BTM with my little man in tow if you remember? Another game you failed to make it to the bar? I was used to it but he was so disappointed!
🙂
Iwobi getting abused on social media some people need to chill out!
It was not about the loss, it was more about the way we lost. Theo and Ox were absolutely poor and if you have poor games atleast show some effort to grind. Ox and theo were just running around in circles with no direction. Baines cross which led to the goal had theo making no effort to prevent the cross. Just showed the casual attitude he and the rest of the team had for the game. Ozil had a stinker and no,not because he missed the chance, it was the way he approached the game. Way to casual.
1 loss in a long time does not mask the fact that we are dropping points which will hurt. We all know city will be tough irrespective of how they played against leicester. If not win, atleast we should have held on for the draw. Is it the same old, same old or will we see a change in script, if yesterday was indication, it looks the former.
Ozil showed no effort to grind then? No shock there. I just don’t rate him at all and I know I’m fairly alone in that opinion.
I would agree Theo had a poor game but he did make an effort to stop the cross. He got across and closed him down but his attempt to actually stop it was poor. However, the central defenders last night were pathetic on both goals.
If you don’t stop the cross don’t get sucked under the ball (Gabriel on the first one) and the second goal had so much wrong with it I don’t know where to begin. Xakha probably, who was marking in exactly the same way I’m way as I’m going out with Rhianna. In his head only.
Groundhog week. Draw Bayern Munich in the Round of 16. Lose a critical festive (for the other team) fixture that turns our momentum on its heels. That is the current narrative.
Is there another choice?
Tired football cliches alert ; but both bang on the money last night
1) “They wanted it more than us”
2) “If you can’t win it , don’t lose it”
Ron Manager.
3) “You’ve got to get those boys on the pitch motivated. It’s no good saying go out and buy some ice cream, go to the pictures. You’ve got to tell them what they’re doing. You’ve got to motivate them onto the pitch. Push them out with forks if you need to, but get them out onto the pitch. And then when the game’s over ……. get them in again”.
8 games in 25 days, I think that’s all you have to say here. The non-rotation v’s Basle worked out spectacularly on the night, lost it’s gloss with the CL draw and went positively tits up last night. In fairness the lads stuck to the task gamely. Hey ho, we can do Citeh up there, again. I don’t want to see both Theo and Ox starting again, we lose a lot of stability and shape with two brainless chickens running around. COYG.
Scgooner knows.
If you leave out one of OX or Theo, you have the equally headless Iwobi as a replacement.
Please fill in the list of non-headless below. I will assume Koscielny and Sanchez are exempt.
Cheers, Holic,
Saw and heard absolutely nothing last night so much appreciate the comprehensive report. Over occupied at the moment with nursing duties, school runs, shopping, cleaning, meals etc. etc …… oh yes, and working full time !
I blame Steve T for last night’s defeat. If he would just give a few referees a decent rollicking they would have to up their game.
By the way, Steve, hope you managed to keep your little man (@50) warm in Burnley – thermal long johns are the thing ! ?
I’m a bit baffled by the non-rotation v Basel where we made six changes from the team that beat West Ham.
It’s the non-rotation of key personnel imho, Guvna. Always a problem. That’s why they’re key personnel.
It’s not a good feeling to be hoping for the likes of Middlesbrough, Hull, Watford, Palace and Sunderland to take points off our rivals today to make up for the ones we dropped against Everton. I wouldn’t bet on any of them managing a draw.
It’s not worth the emotion or the time taken to conceive of such an outcome. Let it go and focus energy on the Shitteh match.
It’s really worrying with Arsene in charge. The fans demanded he buy a defender. He did for 2 millions. But when that didn’t work the fans forced him to buy a proper defender. He reluctantly bought Mustafi and is badly missed at the moment. The fans demanded Arsene buy a good striker. He did at the very end. He is making a point not playing him [central role] and he thinks he can win the league without him. He can’t. Perez needs to be playing every match not just last 2 mins.
Arsene still does not know his best team..
Bath, Those are wise words. The alpinist might agree with you. 🙂

I hear Watford may bring Success on in the second half, but I doubt it. Not success with a small s, either. 🙁
bt8
Too right I was hoping Middlesboro to score an equaliser but Pool scored the second. Perhaps we played Everton at the wrong time! I still feel gutted about he first half if only we put more pressure on them after our goal.
Looking at LiveScore.com every five minutes in hope of some friendly score lines.
Boro just crumbled 0:3 to Pool ?
Not sure what’s happening in other games but Boro look bloody awful!
ATG. A glass of Wisniowska to drown your sorrows. One for me too. 🙂
Cheers bt8 I’ll get the next round ?
Palace just scored good at leat they are up for fight against the specialist in failure ??
Great goal by Palace but one more by Ibramovich. Boo!!
It looks like the other clubs used up all their wins today, Arthur. Our turn comes next time. Wisniowska III. 🙂
Picking on Theo, Vinay? He wasn’t good, but far from the worst. As for the Bailes cross everyone knows he crosses left-footed ninety nine times out of a hundred and Theo had that covered. Baines pulled a swifty most defenders would have fallen for.
Chris, Theo was nowhere close to the position he should have been in. If he had been in position and hadn’t needed to sprint 25 yards to catch up at the last minute he would have been able to cover a left or a right footed cross. He could only cover one side because he was out of position.
Oh well the Lady Luck definitely not on our side this mid week!
Round IV on the way ?
The midweek results look like they were chosen by the devil himself! Awful for us.
Can’t wait for Sunday! COYG
Crap results today. And after the upcoming weekend (City – Arsenal and the Mersey derby), there’s not a whole lot of big matches for the top six over the holidays. Just City – Pool and Tiny Totts – Chelsea thru 2nd January, so this Sunday at the Etihad looms large.
At this point last season (after 16 games) we had one point less than this year but were only two points behind Leicester in first. Chelsea had 15 points, one less than the Foxes have this season. Topsy-turvy game.
Would this have got Sanchez his penalty:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38315568
What an awful night! Time to move on!
Not playing in Europe has been a big advantage to Chelsea and Liverpool but that should equalise over the next few weeks
No Chris i am not just picking on theo, i do not rate him at all and that has remained from a long time. Agree, i am in the minority who thinks like that but let it be please.
Ox reminds me of theo in more ways than one except that he does have an odd moment of brains, wait isnt that what theo also does!!!! never mind those 2 for we have bigger worries.
I adore ozil, yes he is magic but he needs to put in a shift every game and not when there is no pressure. I know he still has that moment of magic but did he not shy away from the header which williams headed in; both he and Xhaka to be blamed for that.
I cannot see us beating city. yes the same city, leicester destroyed, the same city which does not have 3 of their best players, the same city whose central defenders are a joke. I will tell you why i feel this way, the team resembles that. The urgency is not there or i cannot see it( need to check my glasses). We want to play the intricacies always and ozil and sanchez only want to pass to one another. Arsene you need to push these guys for they wont change. The attitude matters and not just the skill. If i am coming across as being negative, sorry it is the pain of seeing yet another season unfold the same way again. Please change the script for once Arsene and Arsenal.
Koeman is the new Mourinho. He keeps beating Arsene and also mocks him, the prick. We are so used to beating Everton that yesterday’s defeat still rankles.
Media is all over town about how getting physical and exploiting our weakness in the air helped Everton beat Arsenal. You can expect a lot of that in our matches starting with West Brom when they visit us immediately after the City match.
We do need a few tall and tough guys in our team but Arsene likes small, effete and technically skilled players in his team so that is not happening. We are probably the least physical team in the league followed by City and need to get used to getting bullied and getting kicked around by the West Brom’s and Stoke City’s of the league.
ken @88. I don’t think any of our players are actually effete and we stood up pretty well to the physical assaults from Stoke and in truth to Everton.
We were unlucky against Everton. Had Özil scored either of his two very good chances, it would have been a very different game but our key players were in truth knackered and we were missing the man who has stiffened our defence significantly since his arrival. Shit happened. It’s not time to get into your sackcloth and ashes. Courage mon brave.
Hear him! Hear him!
Drink on the bar for Bath, and thanks. Sinew stiffeners also there for those that need thrm. Finally, ordinary drinks for those with pre-stiffened sinews. If that means Baff gets two then so be it.
It seems we will continue the sequence of improving end-of-season league positions only if we turn out to be better than all the other teams, which is as it should be.
COYG
Bathgooner
I agree that we were knackered and with some luck we could have won; but I still think that some of our players are soft otherwise Everton would not have come on so aggressively. I can’t see anyone being that physical with Chelsea, Liverpool or United players. We have been a soft target for the last ten years and I don’t see that changing.
Bath @ 89 inadvertently highlights another issue that we have. Whilst we have a decent squad we lack players who are genuinely top quality. We have come to rely on the likes of Alexis and Ozil as the match n players and hope that the supporting cast are able to step up to the plate. If Alexis and Ozil have an off match then I think we really have problems.
Theo has made good strides this season and at times it looks as if it has finally sunk in. What he really needs now is consistency. AOC has also shown In patches what might be possible but he is still a long way off bring the player wecall hope. Then there’s Iwobi. One week he’s the next best thing, the next he is over hyped and punching above his weight. Iwobi will need time to develop.
We clearly miss Santi. Xhaka I think can be a really top addition to our squad just as long as he keeps his discipline in check. I fear that we have not seen the last of his red cards.
We don’t have the genuine match winners of times gone by. We have bought squad players and the squad does look stronger for it. However, I’m not convinced yet that the quality is quite there.
Just my opinion of course.
?
FFS we’ve lost one game ! Let’s have some more belief. We usually make things hard for ourselves before we win anything, a recent example being to go 2-0 down to Hull at Wembley.
This is a good squad and Wenger is a fine manager. If we can get a good result on Sunday I think we can set off another very good run. I’d like to see Perez starting more often beginning on Sunday in the role he had at Basel . Key players are Mustafi and Cazorla and it would be great if they could be back sooner than we expect.
Keep the faith Holics!
Just this second received an e mail from the club with all of the build up and team news for our trip to Everton on Tuesday.
Always at the cutting edge.
