That is the plan, Boston, and a few more besides, no doubt. The Grouse was wonderful thanks. It may not survive tonight. ;-)

Well worded 'holic.

How was the Grouse? More importantly will you be in two places at the same time over the next four days?

When culture and protocol require a hand shake, you sink lower than your opponent if you can't even comply. So take what you said about Hughes and position AW below it.

In other parts of the world, they don't eat roast beef and yorkshire pudding for Sunday lunch. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be eaten in Chipping Snodbury.

Song played well by the way and it was a good run out for him in a position in which he may have to double in the event of injury.

Amy Lawrence's excellent article about this idiotic hypocrisy the English have about managers shaking hands, and how it's totally NOT an issue in other parts of the world:

holic, YOU ARE SIMPLY FLAT OUT WRONG ABOUT ARSENE NOT SHAKING HUGHES' HAND.

Hughes baited, insulted and abused Arsene throughout the entire match. Hughes yelled at the ref to get our players booked and sent off throughout the entire match. Hughes dispresected Arsene for over 90 mins.

And then he whinges to the media that Arsene didn't SHAKE HIS HAND???

It was a DELIBERATE, CYNICAL, meanspirited tactic by Hughes to get the media on Arsene's back. Hughes hates Arsene, this was totally deliberate on his part. He's a lowlife scumbag hypocrite. Arsene's far more honest about his feelings, nor does he run to the media and complain about how managers treat him (like the way that Brown and Horton cursed at him last season).

As to the game... never mind the fact that these were young players up against a full strength zillion-pound squad. I saw the same problems as with the Chelsea game: when our players don't have the ball, they don't fight for it, they have no clue what to do. They just stand off and let opponents do what the hell they like.

And it was the SENIOR players last night who were the most guilty. They provided ZERO leadership, ZERO guidance, ZERO commitment. Eboue and Song played like they wanted to be anywhere else.
