Lately I´ve has some harsh things to say about Almunia, so I think it´s only fair that I praise him for tonights performance which I thought was solid. It´s not the fact that he made a few decent saves that pleased me, (although that was great) because we all know he´s always been a decent shotstopper. It was his attitude and presence that impressed me. He didn´t dilly dally on crosses as he has done lately and seemed to be confident. This confidence looked like it spread through the defence who performed as a unit. I saw many high fives and back pats going on between them and a fist on fist moment between Almunia and Gallas which was nice to see. Long may it continue. Back again.
