FIFA Scum Promote Barca Tapping Up On Website
Jul 21st, 2010 by 'holic
I’m absolutely speechless, I really am. FIFA are now carrying blatant tapping up for Barca. Must be official policy now.
This shower of shit is a toothless laughing stock.
Lunchtime Update
Thank you all for your responses, and I’m glad to acknowledge that FIFA have taken down the offending article it published this morning. You don’t have to scroll back far through their news archive though to find earlier examples of them assisting Barca’s relentless media pursuit of a player who they have been told is not for sale.
See here for the next one you would come to.
Is it really the job of of the supposed policeman of world football to promote the worst excesses of those at Barca?

They had a similar story, either with Puyol or Rosell, several days ago. Beyond words.
Transfer speculation on fifa website and the arsenal website.. the bar is being continually lowered (elsewhere obviously).
FIFA morons! Can’t believe this! Is the whole world conspirating with barcacunts to tap up cesc? :@
http://goonerhood.blogspot.com
I have to say this completely from the bottom of my heart. Think of it what you will. I’m am 100% not caring about whether fab stays or goes anymore. I’m just let down by both sides making such a big deal about this. Barca are acting like a pack of preschoolers over this and gooners aren’t any better. Coming from your side of the fence “learn what you are talking about!” Both sides are leaving themselves classless over this. Barca aren’t tapping anything (though they are coming in a very classless manor) and arsenal fans/ squad are acting retarded over media hype. Both clubs should start acting like the phenomenal clubs they are off the pitch like they are on the pitch.
Just throwing that out there people!
Fuck me! Arsenal MUST file grievance! Wenger and Gazidas have been silent on this for too long! They need to raise a shit storm of protest over this!!!
Matter of time, Cesc will return home
On another note – what impact would putting the lad up for auction at season’s end have? If someone like Inter Milan or Real Madrid offer a stratospheric sum for him, moreso than bankrupt Barca – …what then?
FIFA are supposed to enforce their own rules and regulations. This is not the first time that they are complicit in this whole Fabregas affair. I have written to them a few times already complaining about this, without any response. All Arsenal supporters should do the same and also write to the club insisting that they grow some balls and take action. Arsenal and their supporters are the laughing stock of the football world.
arsenal must do something against that fu*kin team .. they Must be punished
Can anyone please explain to me one reason that makes any sense as to why AFC wouldn’t report Barcelona..I simply just don’t get it.
DIE XAVI!
@stonroy
what happened when manure reported realmadrid to fifa for tapping up the gelled tumbler?
jack all
am so tied hearing this if fab wants to go let him.Let’s get a new player in. Fab is not helping matters.Arsene should sell him if he feels not @ home in arsenal, so that he can folo suit helb, henry, veira, reyes e.t.c
Arsenal should just come out and say that as a result of Barca’s conduct they will not do any deals with them for a set period of time, say 3 years.
If cesc wants to go home there is always Espanyol… Or Madrid.

I also don’t care any longer whether Fabregas stays or goes – all I want is that action be taken against the scumbags.
Please write to FIFA and Arsenal now! Join Facebook page: Barcelona should be punished…gid=116042895106146
@heyrube Arsenal has behaveour cannot be criticised exept by there supporters who are outraged that they don’t have more of a backbone and actually stand up to the scum and FIFA
samuel and heyrube, if others think like you then the scum at Barca have achieved what they set out to do.
Any parents out there, apologies for the language used, but it is a lot milder than the words I would have liked to print. I am incensed. Looking at the articles on the right hand side of that page FIFA have been complicit in the tapping up all summer long.
They truly are a gutless, spineless, corrupt shambles of an organisation.
Nothing less than I’d expect. FIFA should have dealt with this long ago, but I agree this is a step too far.
One thing we need to take out of this is the siege mentality, genuinely believe that everyone is against us. Remember our titles with Wenger, heck the ones with George Graham. Nobody wanted us to win those leagues and it helped motivate us. The same needs to be done again and then maybe we’ll pick up some silverware.
Whooooa! The air’s been turned blue, ‘holic. I think it’s time to hit the ‘moderate’ button.
@ FU*CK ARS-ANAL
This comment just pretty much sums up everything rotten about C**talunia and B**ca. Sure, you are really barca fan through and through? Born there? supported them all your life? hell i dont even think you are spanish. Just wait, 18 months from now, we’ll be the richest club in the world, and barca will be in administration, languishing in mid table, probably worse. Yes, it is arsenal that’s the club that needs to be taught that players under contract cannot be contacted unless their club accepts bid, that you can only spend what one ears! Yes, it is arsenal that’s the sub standard club
*earns
somebody sort me out here;
should it be arsenal to report barcelona first or can fifa just act to stop the stupid, brainless spaniards from their ”tapping up” act? why do the xavis trhink they are the greatest on this planet earth. cummon, show some respect you spanish dogs! are you so special? do you forget you are broke?
I used to quite like Barca as a team but that’s all changed now. As for all these Barca fans on here proclaiming their self-importance…you all support a bunch of diving and cheating prima-donnas (excluding Messi). Funny how Cesc stays on his feet when playing for Arsenal and then goes down at the slightest touch when playing for Spain. And by the way, Cesc is staying, now piss off you Catalan deviants!!!
“Más que una broma”. El fútbol es el mejor pero no hay graciosidad.
Sí Sí Sí! Vamos a Madrid!! Vamos José! Tu estadio va a ser llamado “El Camp Mou”
FIFA should ban Barca from making player transfers for three years.
By 2013 Barca will have had to sell all their key players to pay off the debt, and Fabby will have a cabinet full of winners medals with Arsenal.
FC BARCA,
Indeed it is but before that happens your shit wannabe Madrid club better start saving some money to pay for him,Im afraid for all your talk you cannot get enough cash toghether and for such a super dooper club like Barca thats kind of sad,
In fact they should pay the players and staff already on the books before signing more,
Fuck Catalonia Your Spains Bitch always have been always will be,
LET’S SELL FABREGAS TO SHAKTAR DONENSK FOR 100M
I can’t believe this shit. FUCK them! As good a Xavi is as a player, he is the absolute reverse as a person…. that is, a massive Cunt.
FIFA should grow a couple of balls and crack down on this shit. This is fucking ridiculous….
So I take it this is Barca attempting to build bridges with Arsenal??? They are the most arrogant, self-centered bunch of muppets. But my worry is they’re winning, with every day this story just becomes more draining for Arsenal fans and divisions are being caused.
The banner at Underhill was a start but I think we need more. The club have said he’s not for sale, we know there is no point in reporting them through the official channels. I think the fans need to stand up and make a point of things here.
Oh and if the bar is open I’ll have Mount Gay and Coke ‘Holic!
Why not post your thoughts on this disgusting article below it for all to see?! Wonder then if it will be pulled…
@ FU*CK ARS-ANAL
r u watchin, r u watchin……
Go and spread your poison on the bull**** blogs of your own inbred family club, who as all your squad say, share the same DNA
WELL DONE GOONERHOLIC
I hope the whole financial system in Spain goes bankrupt and takes Barca with it down the drain. C*nts!
oh it will. the recession in spain has bearly begun
How do you suggest to sell Fab, when the gypsies don’t cover his actual value! 30 million is peanuts for a player of his kind! Unless barca offer something in the region of Fabregas actual price (near double they offer) they will receive only a middle finger from Arsenal!
The strange thing is that Xavi is a like a “turkey voting for Christmas”.
It would be his arse on the bench if Cesc ever went there because they would soon learn who is the more creative player. Somehow don’t see Cesc as a rampant man eater replacement for Yaya.
What more can be said about FIFA????
Which dry white would you recommend with a “full English” ‘holic?
fuck barca! btw where is cesc in all this? why cant he come up as a man and say,yes am staying or yes am going..,God am tired and frankly dont care anymore whether he goes or stays
Xavi. What a prick.
Xavi shut ua mouth i think Fab has 1 so he can speak 4 himself
Sod. Looked at the FIFA article. Had to sign up to comment. Went through hoops to create an account. Wrote what follows – then minutes later the article disappeared. Poof. Just like that.
This was my response:
“This is a disgrace. What FIFA is doing here is aiding a tapping-up campaign that has been going on for months. The question is why? As for the hypocritical Barca FC fans – two words – Luis Figo. Remember what Real did? Remember how Barca reacted. And now FIFA is helping you in your dirty work with articles like this.
Shame on Barca. But worse – shame on FIFA. You are both a disgrace to football.”
Fick FUFA! I had to say that, sorry ‘Holic! Are these the same idiots we intent to report Barceloanus to? God help us!
Article has now mysteriously disappeared. Seriously, I think we all need to start contacting UEFA and FIFA asking that they sanction Barcelona. You can do it at http://www.uefa.com/community/feedback/index.html for UEFA and http://www.fifa.com/contact/form.html for FIFA
Also left a scathing coment on the Fifa Article and boom page gone!
Best blogs evah, ‘holic 😉 THey have now removed it, heh, the cunts.
Irish coffee for me please.
What the hell’s going on here … “Spain’s bitch” … “gypsies” … “inbred family club”.
“Scum” … that’s fine.
“C*nts!” … curiously, also fine.
But “gypsies”?
Not good. Really not good.
Fifa.com have now removed the story – well done mate!
The page is still available here if anyone wants a read…

We must never do business with Barca again. Cesc will inevitably be the loser, but we cannot allow them to disrespect the Arsenal any longer.
@ david and the others- i also tried to read the article. it has vanished!

heyrube,
someone should taunt you for a year. Let’s see if you’re going to show some epic class there. It’s disrespectful and it’s all lies. Cesc became the player he is at Arsenal not Barcelona. Call him the Catalans’ Child and what not I don’t mind. But don’t say Arsenal never had a role in making him the great he is today. The ugly truth- Class is met with class. The lack of class will have to be met with a lack of class. Let the namecalling begin!
special thanks to david and nick.
have left a message for the scums of uefa and fifa with the cached page as evidence.
the rest of us should do the same
They’re dishonest, cheating, classless and selfrighteous idiots, gypsies used in a derogatory way sums up all of that.
Hoic, Matt.
Now, how does my idea sound of US reporting those shitheads?
Halla Madrid.
I am very very upset with Wenger and the managements of arsenal fc for allowing Barcelona continue treating our club as if arsenal fc is nothing. To me, this is most bigoted thing i ever seen in football, and nothing is done to stop this ridiculous, this preposterous acts of them fools. Could you imagine this goes on and on and on, even their players got the nerves to come out and saying jaggons and our manager did nothing, that is why i will alway respect Sir Alex Ferge.
To me now, my respect for Fabregas has gone through the window, even if he stay at arsenal now he has lost his diginity. Wenger should sell him to Real Mad and use his money to buy world class players, and lets win something. Now Wenger is not doing enough to bring in players that can win something for us, Wenger is the cause of all the nonsense that is going on in this club, we have money, we have money, so why still waiting, go out and buy players who can win something for us for christ sake, every year so so so stories, i am tired of it Wenger.
The article seems to have vanished, maybe Gazidis made a few phone calls?
Xavi, great player though he is, is an absolute cunt. He not only presumes to know how Cesc will feel in a year, he shows absolutely no respect whatsoever for neither Cesc nor the Arsenal. Fucking cunt. Oh, and did I say he’s a fucking cunt?
Having said that, though, I think that for every Barca player or staff member that claims to speak on Cesc’s behalf and for every idiotic thing like the shirt-pulling stunt, they move closer to pissing Cesc off and actually turn him off the idea of moving there. He has himself described the shirt stunt as “embarrassing” and it was very clear on the video that he didn’t like it one bit.
@SOLA: Wenger and Arsenal have repeatedly and publically, and in no uncertain terms, told Barcelona to shut the fuck up. Is that “doing nothing”? What more can they do apart from reporting them to FIFA, who, as we all know, would do jack shit about it?
@Snir: as far as I know, we as supporters can not report Barca. It can only be done by the club. And as I just said, they’ll only ignore it anyway.
If you don’t recognize that “gypsies” used in a derogatory way is racist and unacceptable then I’m wasting my time here.
And if you want to know why try the Equality and Human Rights Commission:
http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/our-job/contact-us/
And they’ll explain it,
@Lars – I meant we start a petition and get everyone signing it on matchday and hand it over to the Arsenal board, demanding they do something about it.
I just can’t take this anymore.
Cesc needs to make his mind up.
Is he a gooner?
If not, then put him up for auction.
Or maybe since the whole of Spain loves him so much, they can divert the National Lottery into a Cesc slush fund….somewhere around 120 million euros and then we can do business.
Cha-Ching. Xavi talks, Puyol talks, Pique talks… Money talks.
Time for Barca to put their money where their mouthpieces are.
That is not meant disrespectfully to Fabregas, he’s a fantastic player, but if he wants out, then he wants out, end of story.
Link not pulling up any article now…power of the people forcing FIFA to remove it hopefully
[…] sanctioning this kind of public tapping-up are absolutely right. First to do so was Arsenal blogger Goonerholic. And so it spiralled from there, across many other blogs, Twitter etc, until FIFA decided […]
Too many words time for action
What we need is a protest to shake up Barcelona, all the authorities and Arsenal Football Club. This should be done before or after one the Emirates Cup game (probably before since most the Emirates is half empty after.
Everyone should meet outside by the big cannon outside the Armoury and then walk up the Platinum entrance and protest outside there!
@wrightydenhenry – With you on that!!!
We also need to open a website and form a petition and get every one we know to sign it demanding AFC report those shitheads to Uefa. This has to stop! If AW/Gazidis won’t do anything about it, we will…!
Well, I’ve taken matter into my own hands, I’ve asked one of my friends to open a website with a petition form.
I’ll run you through the statement that will be on the petition, will be glad for your opinions/fixes…
This HAS TO STOP!
Even if AFC won’t report, at least we’ll know we did everything we could to make this stop.
Morning Holic & Holic`s
I would like to say good morning but after reading that there is nothing good about it.
Arsenal must take legal recourse as this is beyond a joke, I was struck dumb reading it as if it was a very poor joke. Sadly I nor do dose 99.9% of Arsenal fans find this one bit amusing this has to be taken seriously and something must be done !
wrightydenhenry & snir I will sign any petition and I will be there on Sunday 1st.
This can not be taken lying down !
I will not write any more about it as the blood boils and the language will not be good.
Thank you Holic for bringing this to our attention.
I’m with HansRott on this one, using “gypsies” as a derogatory term is not acceptable in my book.
@Marcus: “but if he wants out, then he wants out, end of story.”
But does wanting to play for Barca necessarily mean he absolutely does not want to be at Arsenal? Whenever I travel over to see a game at the Grove, I want to be at Club Level with the free half-time beer and stuff – but if I can “only” get a ticket at the upper tier it doesn’t mean I don’t want to be at the game, on the contrary I’m still very happy to be there at all. Likewise, it may well be the case that Cesc wants to play for Barcelona, but if that doesn’t happen he’ll still be happy playing for The Gunners.
Snir could you please let us know the web site once your hero of a friend has it up and running.
Thank you
The article is gone.
I posted this on vital arse and I’ll post it here, too. May be worth considering. Now, although I wholeheartedly agree with what has been said about reporting Barca and their cuntishness, I think there is a possibility that we Gooners have chosen to ignore (not?) on purpose. Namely, it might be that the trust/belief of Gooners in Cesc’s professionalism and ‘love and respect for the club’ is seriously misplaced. I have a nagging feeling that he WILL submit a written transfer request by the end of the month, which we necessarily don’t have to respect, but then, what would be the point in keeping him? To show some balls?
If Cesc does that, it will undoubtedly prove that all of this lame drama coming from the Barcelona camp has been planned in advance WITH Cesc’s knowledge AND consent, and all of our fit-throwing would have been useless.
I just hope AW has a backup plan in store if/when that happens.
Again, I SINCERELY hope that I am wrong, but the silence coming from ‘team Cesc’ combined with the continuous arrogance of the ‘team Proper c*nts’ is winking it’s the other way around. And to be perfectly perfectly honest, after this summer’s shenaningans- I am not sure if I want to see Cesc in an Arsenal shirt again. It just doesn’t feel right anymore.
Peace out
Looks like F.I.F.A. have taken the page down now.
When are F.I.F.A. going to properly kick Barca in the soft and danglies and actually shut Barca up while they metaphorically gasp for breath while they recover and then resolve not to do it again ?
:-I
.
G4L: after this summer’s shenanigans – well, why would what Barca have been doing put you off Cesc?
“I am an Arsenal player and proud to be one”
“This win is for Arsenal and all of it’s fans” (about the WC)
“It was embarrassing” (about the shirt-pulling)
“The less said about Barcelona the better”
“I have never said I will leave Arsenal this summer”
These are some of the things he has said in the past few months. I have no doubt that if he is still playing for us the coming winter, he will give everything he’s got just like he has always done.

Tell everyone you know!!!
And tell me if you want to edit the writing.
It is a Captains’ duty to be selfless.
It is a Captains’ duty to lead by example.
It is a Captains’ duty to defend his team.
Remind yourself Cesc. For if this no longer applies then you are cheating yourself not to mention the fans and the club whom you represent in this capacity…..
On a positive side, is it at all possible that Cesc might turn around and tell Barca to ‘ fuck right off ‘ after the disrespect they have shown to Arsenal ?
Cesc, as we are led to believe is a man of principle and may as a result may make the ultimate sacrifice and burn that bridge ?
So without wanting to suddenly declare him St. Cesc of Enfive and , excuse the pun, ahem, canonize him . . . is there a chance even he is fed up and this whole episode has galvanized him not against going to Spain maybe instead to . . . Sevilla, or Bilbao or even the real enemy, Real ! ??
*stands up and looks around the room at the other assembled people of hope, idealism and niaive good faith and clears throat *
” Hello, my name is Adam and I am an optimist . . . ”
Lars,
I guess those are fairly neutral statements, though they do differ from those that he gave during last season – where he undoubtedly said he won’t be leaving. He also said “my future is not in my hands any more” prior to the WC, he did speak to Wenger about something – surely not about Almunia’s hair (Wenger confirmed this), and then there’s the (annoying) noise coming from the whole Barca camp who CLAIM that he said he wants to play for them THIS season. There would have to be some serious deludedness in Catalunya (some of them are – Xavi e.g.) to have them all bang the same drum, no? If it weren’t true maybe Cesc should have had a quiet word with them (he spent a whole month with them after all) and asked them not to mention his name/transfer till the summer is over – would that have been too much? Would they say ‘fuck off Cesc, we know you want to play for us’? I think not. I am just being open to the possibility of Cesc doing a number on Arsenal and the fans, and not being surprised about it.

I’ve had a kind word with senor xavi, i say kind word, what i mean is that i’ve extracted his barca dna and replaced with that of the Real Madrid toilet cleaner’s. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time.
The real shame is that barca, the bastards are not only using their players to convince Cesc to go, but also to lower his price as currently it is way too high for them. What will happen if Cesc says at the end of next season that he wants to move for them, AW says ‘All right’, and they come back with their ridiculous 30-40m offer. All the footballing world and press would say ‘let him fulfill his dream’, not noticing the success of their revolting and disgusting tactics.
If Cesc wants to go for them (that’s what they say every goddamn day), why can’t they just table an offer of 70m and bring the kid “home”? If they can’t afford it, why are they still moaning in the press? Sound like if they’d like him to flee from us in the middle of the night, while they break in to the Emirates and nullify his 5-year remaining contract. Yeah, that’s what they are, a f*ckin harrier piece of mob.
Snir Geuli: Petition signed. Should probably seek to get a different advertisement for the petition site, though:

I cant really blame Fabregas for any of this.
He really does want to play for Barca. Thats not in dispute, and he cant be blamed for that, and Im sure when he’s been surrounded by Barca players in the Spanish camp, he’s said that. We dont know whether he’s said he wants to leave Arsenal this summer. Whether he would be unhappy if he stays at Arsenal another season is another matter. Whether, when he pulls on an Arsenal shirt he will give anything less than the 100% he has always given in an Arsenal shirt is also another matter. Personally I think he will be happy to be playing and playing 100% for Arsenal next season.
The tapping up in the press doesnt effect Fabregas, I doubt if he reads it all, its the tapping up done privately that might make the difference to whether he goes. Stopping all these stupid stories in the press might appease our concerns, there have been thick and lazy journos willing to publish such tripe for decades, but we should be more concerned with all the private conversations that have been going on. If we moan at UEFA / FIFA to stop these stories (and yes, I have complained to FIFA about their latest one) and they get off their fat arse and do something, Fabregas will still be getting tapped up. How do you stop that ? Unless you’re amazingly stupid / unlucky like Cole was, its almost impossible to stop
May I highlight this, don`t know if it will help but at least a few thousand signatures may prompt some sort of action
Petition to report Barca for openly tapping up Cesc http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/afcreportingbarca/ please RT & sign #BarcaSCUM
Understand and pretty much agree with most of that Tiny. My beef is with FIFA for publishing this shite, when notionally they should be acting to stop it.
The stories themselves won’t stop. The Catalan cunts have an agenda, short arms, and long pockets, so it will go on.
The governing body of world football should not be actively participating in the riding roughshod over its own jurisdiction, however. They are just lame ducks.
Isn’t tapping up in private conversations illegal too ?
I suppose a nice fine or a transfer ban will do the job.
I know it might not be the best option we currently have but this petition is actually the only option we (the fans) have, and I’m tired of sitting on my ass doing nothing.
@fredster – I’m really no expert in all this – I took the glove off, I suppose other gooners will do the rest.
If you know how to publicize it better, go ahead, I have no club how to.
If anyone can also get a sexier domain, that’d be great.
@Lars
Cesc has really burnt his bridges Lars by openly stating he wants to be at Barca.
Initially he said that he one day wanted to return to Barca……which wasn’t in the best interests of Arsenal, but he always maintained that could be when he was 32.
Now his mates (team-mates) in the Spanish Camp are kicking up a storm about Cesc saying this and that….
either Cesc publicly denies all this, and says Xavi and Puyol are liars, or we must assume that in the muggy Spanish steam room, Cesc has told his team mates how much Arsenal is just his transit club, his VIP lounge, while he waits for the real deal….Barca
Assuming he does want to be at barca, then Arsenal might as well flog him off.
70 million sterling should be about right….originally he was a 50-60 million pound player, but Barca have inflated his price by all the noise they have made about him, they obviously want him so so badly, supply and demand and all that….
So barca, put up or shut up
But if they don’t put up, I think we should sell Cesc anyway, Real Madrid , Man City whoever……..
Unless he denounces these rumours, scotches these rumours, then we must assume that in his heart he wears stripes.
Let him go, were it not for Shawcross, we would have a better player in Ramsey anyhow.
One more thing, can anyone who is going to the Emirates cup take it upon himself to make sure people sign up? I’ll send him an excel file so that he can print out and just take signatures.
Maybe a couple of people…? Help, anyone :)?
@Snir Geuli: Not to worry, I just found it a funny coincidence. But, it’s probably just a regional ad anyway. Nice effort!
@fredster – God help me if I understood your last post :D.
Please just make sure to publicize this as much as you can.
@ Marcus.
I dont think we need to assume anything about what Cesc has said in the steam room.
I’m sure if Wenger came to Fabregas and said ‘we have agreed a transfer with Barca for you’ then Fabregas would be happy to be going to Barcelona. But that doesnt mean he wouldnt be unhappy to leave Arsenal. Everything he has said and done has suggested that Arsenal is a very important club to him, and lets face it, if the other 10 players on the pitch had put the effort in that he has, we wouldnt be complaining about lack of trophies at this point. I dont think it has to be quite so black and white about Fabregas. I dont see it as a case of him thinking of Arsenal as a transit club, a VIP lounge. His comments about winning the WC for Arsenal have already shown that he still has a lot of feelings for Arsenal. Either he’s lying, in which case, him coming out now and saying the same thing again, will mean nothing, so why are you asking him to do so, or he meant what he said, and we should believe that more than any tripe coming out of Xavi et al mouths
Geebus. Barca have really crossed the line on this one, and the way I feel about Arsenal’s position- we’re simply defending our rights as a club after such a blatant and prolonged media campaign by Barca to drive the price, and our resolve, down. This is something they’ve done for years, and it needs to stop.
Personally, I believe we should be tapping up THEIR players in response, but that’s not something Wenger and Gazidis would do- they have too much class.
If Cesc expresses his desire to leave the club this summer, or indeed next, I believe we should put a price tag on him, and let the highest bidder take him. Barca should have to pay through the nose for him, given their behavior on the subject. I’ve spoken before about rich clubs (like City and Chelsea) needing to have players priced to their means (almost like a tax, if you will)- Barca should be getting this tax as well, simply for their behavior.
Also… anyone else have very satisfying dreams of punching Xavi senseless? I know I did.
Fifa just like the UN, Nato is a bogus and corrupt organization…. which feed us new lies everyday…. and i expect no more from them.
Thanks ‘Holic. got your email.
I am pretty sure that the route for Cesc to Barca is not direct from
Arsenal. He still has one more club to pass through to get to Barcelona. When the overhelming majority opinion is of the view that Cesc from Arsenal to Barcelona is a 99.99% done deal I am prepared to bet that his route to Barca is through a different club.
In the financial industry it is always better to be on the minority side as markets invariably favour minority opinion.
Cesc can end this by handing in a transfer request. Which he hasn’t done. Barca are desperately trying to face save as is the way with an effectively Political organisation. What they have done is drive Cesc’s transfer price down.
I’m pretty sure Wenger pointed out to Cesc he has 1 year remaining on his contract. Wenger’s exit will certainly lead to Cesc’s exit anyway with the ideal excuse.
I’m more worried that Wenger has managed not to strengthen the squad significantly over the summer and this transfer saga has deflected attention from this. The frustrations of last years run in and defficiences in the squad appear to have already been forgotten
Everybody please sign the petition, that way, we’ll know we did our part.
Take a look at this !!!

Handanovic’s agent says “Handanovic will not be moving. Arsenal have decided not to spend money to buy a goalkeeper,” Pastorello told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
I feel like crying.
Fabianski is opening the season as number 1 :(… Let’s just hope it’s Woj and not Fabianski.
Even though he’s young, I’d rather have Woj and not Fabianski.
Signed it Snir. Hmm Goal they are always the first place I go to for my transfer news 😉
It is telling that Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only clubs who blatantly, publicly tap up players by conducting public onslaughts in the press – using their directors and players to issue comments to the press on a regular basis. (Tho I don’t recall any Madrid players talking to the press re Cronaldo the way Barca players talk re Cesc).
FIFA never ever condemn them for this behavior.
I know that part of the reason they do this has to do with the fact that their ownership structure is different from English clubs – their presidents have to conduct political campaigns for votes.
But they don’t seem to care how much hostility and bitterness they generate, how classless they make themselves appear in public. They turn the entire thing into a fkg circus and generate only anger. They deliberately try to drive a wedge in between the player and the club/fans.
It is absolutely disgraceful that FIFA/UEFA do absolutely nothing about this. Other clubs certainly tap up, and no one in England is a saint in the transfer market but I don’t see any English club behaving like this in such a public fashion.
I wish to god Arsenal would not deal with either club ever again.
As to Cesc himself, I can’t blame him entirely for this but neither do I like the fact that he seems to be using his father and his Barca friends to speak for him. And he defens his friends for the shirt incident. He issues no denials, no comments about respecting Arsenal FC, he just keeps quiet thru this entire circus.
Fifa deleted the article. Says it all really.
Eduardo moves 🙁

not really sure which is more revolting, that video, or fifa right now. I’m sure alot of you have seen it by now though
I’m guessing next summer Wenger and Fabregas are off, which is why there’s no signings happening and no soundbites from our club re the disgusting behaviour of noclassalona!
I wrote to FIFA earlier, before reading this blog, let’s hope something gets done.
Somehow I doubt it…
As the saying goes, Victoria Concordia Crescit, never has that been so apt!
Some updates…
400 signatures.
I opened the site at 12:00 (GMT + 0) and after 5 hours and 17 minutes we have 400 signatures which is about a signature plus every minute.
It might not be the best option but Arsenal fans are dying to do something and it’s showing.
Can anyone help with the Emirates Cup ?
“If we don’t manage to get his signature this season then Arsenal only really have him on loan for a year – because there is nothing they can do to stop him joining next summer.”
Some of disrespectfull words of Xavier hernandez, barcelona’ central cunt.
Just got in a split second before Samir’s goal. How good was that?
One-nil to the Arsenal. 🙂
Nasri is on fire! 2-0
Make that two Holic 🙂
Nasri with a beautiful free kick.
He looks almost raged at not being sent to the WC, playing excellent.
We need to get a clearing coach or something, it sometimes looks embarrassing.
Should note Fabianski with a good save when called upon.
Almunia and Mannone not in the lineup, Sczezsny is, on the bench.
If Fabianski is club number 1 I’ll be back on here selling me season ticket!
@Snir: good thing we did not sign Handanovic, he’s not better than what we have.
@Roy: go ahead, I dare you.
Woj is being interviewed, he said the trainings are so intense all he does between sessions is sleep.
He also said he believes he has what he takes to be Number 1.
Very impressed with Nordveit and JET.
Waddle called it football brain? Nordveit has plenty of it.
Doesn’t just go into the wide angles and cross, looks for players in the box, passes when needed, Much better 3rd choice than our 3rd choice left back.
I haven’t seen enough of the first half to comment objectively so here’s my thought on the second half:
The opposition was playing counter-attack but after 15-20 minutes they were totally pinned back as we were in control. So we’ve not seen much of the defense, Woj had 3 interventions none of them really hard but he did well every time.
Gibbs looks rusty but you can feel it won’t take long before he is match fit again.
Koss obviously had an excellent positional sense, was where he was needed every time and got the better of his man.
I had forgotten how good technically Djourou is. Looks like he beefed up as well although he appeared slightly suspect when he is run at. Still very solid.
Nordveit at RB was motm for me. Very solid defensively, helped a lot boss the midfield and was a threat on the right side.
Eastmond is also pretty impressive in the DM position, he’s the main reason we controlled the game so much after the first 10 minutes. I can’t see how he won’t be our second-choice DM this season.
Wilshere was is usually nuisance, lots of excellent combinations with JET and Walcott.
Traore played LM as Wilshere’s replacement. His physical attributes are obvious but he is trying too hard which has him make the wrong choice too often.
JET is a huge guy, that guy could play rugby. He looks a bit slow but in reality that’s the lanky gait which gives a false impression. He’s excellent technically in tight spaces, got the defenders scared and flocking to him. Excellent game alltogether.
Rosicki had that little Mozart feel to him before he faded, pulling the strings with plenty of good passes.
Lansbury was solid, always well positioned and took his goal very well.
Walcott is the new Bendtner, always in the right place at the right time but with still some issues in the final move. He looked better technically that I remembered though. He was everywhere and had very good game, he was ufnortunate to have his best opportunity spoiled by a wrong offsisde decision.
Looks like it won’t take long before english players become the majority at Arsenal…
Matt – with regards to training for keepers, maybe our wishes are coming true. It can certainly do no harm to review the goalkeeping coaching and training sessions.
I was also thinking about something someone posted earlier re Cesc and the lack of trophies at Arsenal – we are kinda ‘damned if we do and damned if we don’t. Had we won the league etc Cesc could say ‘I have achieved much with Arsenal domestically, I need to progress my dreams with Cuntalona etc’.
Guys, I really hope we draw them in later rounds of the CL. Not wishing to do a ‘Keegan’, but I would really love it if we gave those venerally infected rug munchers a right good old fashioned up and under Martin Keown Paul Davis Glen Cockerill motherfucking tonking……and breath 74, breath.
@ chippy… so when does the game start?
AW has very tough times ahead of him. We have so many good players who deserve a chance it’s going to be really really hard to decide which ones deserve it more.
@1974: I’m dreaming of the Barca CL game now, I just can’t wait for us to tear them apart.
We have the team to win it all, it’s all about the injuries in the end.
Matt – but for our ridiculous injury list, I think the two games with them would have been more evenly contested. Yes they had suspensions and injuries as well, but we had some mighty big players out.
On a positive note your write up of today’s game suggests Arsene will go with Fab and Woj for the season. If we don’t sign a keeps we need to get behind BOTH keeps. It’s going to the wire this one…
You cant buy class, b**ca, unless you are willing to pay, which you are clearly not. Fab should stay at the club and just tell those c*t*lans to leave him alone. Arsenal will be the best club in the world in 2 years time, no doubt, just keep the players, strengthen were needed and just play your style
Matt double dare me 😉
I’ve seen enough to know he’s a total waste of space!
I hope that these idiots keep running their mouths. Maybe Cesc will get annoyed with them speaking on his behalf constantly and decide to stay for a couple more seasons.. I can dream, can’t I? 🙂
Fuck Barça! ¡Hala Madrid! Don´t give Cesc free to Barça, they must pay a lot of money.
Mr Pot, allow me to introduce you to Mr Kettle. To be frank, both of you could do with a good scrub.
The FIFA c**ks****rs have even removed the page in shame
[…] Not for the first time, the scum at FIFA are assisting Barca with their tapping up of our captain. […]
