Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
Mar 14th, 2008 by 'holic
Gratitude, the word of the day. A trio of thanks open with a great big thank you to UEFA for giving us Liverpool in the quarter-final, and possibly Chelsea in the semi-final, of the Champions League.
We have avoided expensive trips to Germany, Spain, Italy, and probably Turkey, thus enabling cash-strapped Gooners to keep a few bob to one side for the trip to Moscow in May, where we could get revenge on Barcelona. Personally I’m not sure the Catalans will get through the other half of the draw. We shall see.
Thank You Fixture Computer
We have drawn three league games in a row and by the time we take to the pitch at the Grove tomorrow we are likely to be a point behind our potential Champions League Final opponents.
Under such circumstances, and given that Manchester United already have Derby tomorrow, you couldn’t wish for much better visitors than Middlesbrough. I should try to make a case for the visitors, but I saw them humiliated at home by Cardiff last week.
Quite frankly if we are not top of the table on Saturday night then humble pie will not be the least digestible of my problems! The most difficult part of tomorrow could be watching Philippe Senderos relegated to the bench to make way for the return of Kolo Toure. The big man has struggled when used sparingly, but once again has come to the fore in recent weeks. Thanks, and well played fella.
Robin van Persie is very much in the frame for a return alongside Ade, while Theo Walcott is also available, but as he has only trained once this week we may find Emmanuel Eboue is preferred.
The ‘holic tip is 3-0 to the hosts. We can only hope and pray that Derby and Sunderland produce unexpected performances to help us out!
Thank You Virgin Media
There, I’ve said it. They have been decidedly tardy in launching Arsenal TV, and we have been (quite rightly) critical of them. The announcement that from next Tuesday we will enjoy the same for our money as Setanta customers with Sky is very welcome.
Can I also thank those of you who are not Virgin Media customers for putting up with the campaign over the last couple of months.
Most of all though can I thank those of you who are Virgin customers who came to read every time we had some non-news for you! My stats went through the ceiling when I concentrated on this issue, and the search engines were well and truly filled with people looking for updates.
Anyway, that’s it. I’m away for a drink or two. Those of you who are at the Grove tomorrow, have a great day. Everybody else, have a great weekend. Come on you Gunners!

Well Done ‘holic!!!
Great campaign – brilliantly led!
Haha! funnyily enough i remember seeing the exact same sort of report on Chelsea websites TWICE! Thankyou for drawing us against Liverpool, save our money for Istanbul haha, and then thankyou for this draw UEFA sweet revenge and off to Athens we go. Alls i will say is, thankYOU for being an underestimating idiot, lets hope your team of enemies who hate each other and your useless manager who cant win a thing also think the same 😉
Hey scally boy, the rest of us gooners are not taking you lightly. We believe we can win, but it’s all about our form on the day. The difference between us is less than a silver rizla.
The scallies will be just as up for it as us. I just hope there won’t be an injury crisis. I also don’t believe either team will win all three on the spin.
@scouser well in lad hahaha
fecking gooners not got a clue, ye gips save ye money for the long bus home wen we send ye packing from anfield
3-1
6-3
Ring any bells boys? Don’t forget to grizzle about the fixed draw.
Fucking walkover!
Scouser……
1) read what was said….. Thanks for saving us a trip to ass end of turkey etc etc.
2) Useless manager who cant win anything??????? Now im aware that the education system in the north is a little poor to say the least but im a little shocked at that statement. There is a silly little thing called the premer league that your manager seems to be having a few problems with isnt there? It may have been just a splendid dream but im almost sure our useless manager has won it, its a little hazy but wasnt it more than once? with the cup at the same time to? whilst spending one pound thirty six and building one of the best stadiums in the world? Im also almost sure he’s developed a couple of half decent players aswell, and didnt he go an entire season unbeaten?
look Ive got nothing but admiration for your boys record in the european cup, fair play to you, but that doesnt mean you have to be a COMPLETE twat about other great teams, show a little respect and engage your (no doubt very small) interlect before you type that sort of shit. You’ve embarrased your great club with your comments. Now, SHUT UP AND FUCK OFF!
Ahhh Liverpool, you know Rob and Scouser, I remember when your team won trophies other than knockout cup competitions … but then again I’m getting on …
Bring it on Gonners – crouchie will scare the sh1t out of you!
Are you stupid enough to write such nonsense!!! Check this out, its your fixtures:Chelsea (a), Bolton (a), Liverpool (h), Liverpool (h), Liverpool (a), Manchester United (a). I think you gonna eat your words very soon cos you won’t even be leading the Premier League and already out of the Champions League. You season is useless. Bye bye to any sort of silverware. I’m a Utd supporter….. Ha ha ha!!!!!!
Liverpool fan here. Let me assure you most of us don’t think the same as the idiots on here who are slagging your top class manager and team off. If we can’t win it then an Arsenal win will do for me. You lot play theh best football with ( my personal opinion) the best manager in the world. No-one else could have coped with the lack of funds when you were building your stadium other than Wenger.
See you at the Emirates….
ps Eboue is a cheating horrible embarrassment to you lot (Surely he is better suited to Chelsea)…..
Stevie G, out of those games only Bolton (a) is a concern. The rest of you are too fuckin’ easy!
United will stumble too, there are plenty of chances for draws after you get off easy street against Derby and Bolton. You’ll drop points, you won’t win em all, but as long as you think you’ve won and that you don’t need to put your back into it, that’ll suit us down to the ground. I’m glad you’re laughing now by the way…
Sean,
ThatS the liverpool I know. Class and honesty. (even about the Eboue bit). Fair play. Personally im licking my lips at the prospect of three superb games and im nervous as hell, its going to be the perfect example of why people love this game, skill, class, passion, pride and FANTASTIC VIEWING.
iF WE MANAGE TO OVERCOME YOUR LOT IN THIS COMPETITION WE’LL DESERVE TO WIN IT, IF NOT, I HOPE ITS SIX……..
Ok then, let me re-phrase what i said. Your manager cant win anything ANYMORE. alls he can do is chase and get shot down. When was the last time you played us in europe? We’re a totally different team in europe and play with a whole new confidence and teams play with that extra awareness that they remember what results we’ve pulled out in this competition in recent times. Liverpool never do things easy, they always do it the hard way and winning the european cup this season is going to be nothing different. We struggled to make it out of the group stage because of an awful start, and now we’ve turned it round and will win it. And whether or not we have to crash 2 cockney sides out this year in the late stages or 1, we’ll still get to Moscow and win it.
Orson how are you a great team?! What have you won in the last 4-5 years? NOTHING. You get to the odd final and LOSE. Who cares about what you done in the league. You dominated for a few years, it got taken off you by better teams. And yes we are struggling to win the title which is a bitch, but so have you been, just because your top now dont think your going to win it because as much as i hate it, United are going to walk away with the title.
And Chris, you are getting on, try 18 league titles. And also accept the fact that we’re not only the most successful club in the history of english football, we’re also the most successful english club THIS CENTURY. For all you clever cockneys out there whats 2000 on wards. Question what we win and you shall be made a FOOOOL!
At least our side has got some dignity in saying we have english players. Who have you got other than Walcott and Hoyte? We’ve got the captain of this country in our side and hes going to drive us all the way to Moscow 🙂
As much as its going to be a superb and very close tie, i love you gunners who are saying its a walk over, Schalke would be a walk over, ask Barca, Inter, AC ‘has been’ Milan and Chelsea if we are a walk over. Even your ex star man Vieira has backed us to win it. That says a lot for his faith in you….
YNMF, I’ve told you before, behave.
Sean, thanks, and welcome. Can’t disagree with anything you have said.
Other Scousers, read what is written, not what you think is written. orson gves you a clue.
I actually believe whichever of us gets through will be going to the Final. I also strongly believe that will be us, but the biggest reason I’m glad we drew you is to save us a few bob going to places we have already been.
Good luck to you. You’ll need it against us because we are good.
I am not saying a word
Orson,
Trust me….the vast majority of our lot think in exactly the same way as I do. If any of the other managers was a cash strapped as Wenger has been over last few years they would have been a lot further away than the league and the recent finals he has been in….. And the English argument is bollocks too….. Is someone telling me we actually would rather take inferior english players over top class foreigners? DO me a favour….Torres was 20M and wright phillips 21M…NOt rocket science really….
Scouser,
Do go away your becoming very tiresome. We like real football fans on here not your sort. Dont discrace yourself anymore, you sound like a Unt’d fan.
dear gooner get a grip liverpool have won the trophy more times than the other seven put together liverpool 5 man utd 2 barcelona 2
fenebace 0 chelsea 0 roma 0 schalke 04 0 and ARSENAL 00000000000000000000000000000000.0000000000000000000
Personally , you boys where the last draw i and probably most Liverpool fans would of wanted. But on saying that i hazard to guess most gooners would say the same about us, well apart from the halfwits like the prick that wrote the article above and some of these other dippy dumb fuckers above who have probably never been to the Emirates never mind Anfield in their fucking meaningless lives.
But that aside now we have been drawn together lets hope we get two great matches . I dont see it being a walkover for either side. Arsenal are a fantastic footballing side. But when you put Liverpool and the European Cup together ,then what you get is something that the premiership can’t seem to inspire.
And anyone who takes Liverpool lightly in this competition tend to wake up the next morning out of yet another wondering just what happened. Just ask Barcelona , Juventus , Chelsea and Inter. All teams we were supposed to be inferior to.
So please dont kid yourself that this is like playing liverpool in the league . Because anyone who comes to anfield for the second leg will find out it is far from being the same thing..
Sean,
Thanks mate, common sense at last. I have to say torres at 20mil? Bargain. he’s a top man in anyones book and im hoping he has an off day at our place because he’s exactly the big game top draw type of player that can break your heart at any moment during a C/L quarter final.
On reflection i actually think that “scouser” probably is a UNt’d fan being an ass on our site (there like that in surrey!).
I can see that a lot of Arse fans think they are through before a ball is kicked. A lot of other teams fans have probably thought the same, notably the Chavs. Well be prepared for a tight game at the Emirates and a warm welcome at Anfield.
We have been playing some good football and but for some silly draws would be knocking on the door of the premier league. Well confidence is a great thing, but i think it is mopre arrogance with your fans.
These days i guess you lot dont know which Aresenal will turn up, the good or the poor, but i cann promise you all our team and our fans will turn up and without being over confident we expect to win.
JFT96
Mark,
no real Arsenal fan thinks its going to be easy, in fact drawing you lot is a bit of a mare! Anfield + european cup nights? Not good for most visters really is it? Ive got high hopes but thats all they are, as I said earlier if we knock you lot out we will DESERVE to WIN the thing, and if not, I sincerely hope you make it six. We are a great team, we do have a good chance, and it is going to be one hell of a month.
I havent ben this excited for ages….. Roll on April eh?
Mark,
At last sense from one of our lot……I agree totally that if it wasn’t the Euro cup I would be pessimistic. But as you say, we have teh 2nd leg at our place and its a cup that beings the best out of us……which gives us a bigger chance
To all the other Liverpool fans (or Utd fans I hope!!) Can we not show a bit of respect and dignity for the Arsenal team and fans? Yes we will all be f**king biased on the day…But teh comments above are making me cringe and are not far off seeing us being classed with teh Manc scum who sing about Wenger being a paedophile etc and showing their total disrespect for a Manager who has the balls to face teh press and say it as it is (Slightly poor vision at times but always answers the press!)
Let the chelski and Manc tw*ts show how little class they have got and not join the same ranks….
Rant over
Sean / Orson
Well said to both of you. And orson for the record if you do prefail over the 2 legs . Then my support definetly for the rest of the competition goes to the gunners..
And as for Wenger , personally i believe he has to be the best manager in the world with what he has achieved and money spent in achieving it….
So Bring on April and let battle commence .
Mark,
you’re welcome fella, but you should be aware ‘the prick that wrote the article above’ has been visiting Anfield for nearly forty years. Remember 8500 of us coming for a League cup semi-final in 78? Ask your Dad. Real Liverpool fans will tell you about it, and yes, you won over two legs.
You may win this one, but I really don’t think so. We will win old big ears one year, and having embarassed the holders perhaps we might just squeeze past the side they beat last year?
But if we don’t then I hope you do it. Is that fair?
I think it’s gonna tough right through the end of the season. We got hard draws in quick succession. That’s the bad omen about it. Prior to LFC games, we play Chelsea away and Man U away just after the last CL game. We didn’t have any sort of luck this season. Drawing Man U in the FA Cup. Hope RVP & Rosicky will come back from injury soon. Best of LUCK to…
liverpool fixtures are utd(a)23rd everton(h)30th arsenal(a)2nd arsenal(a)5th arsenal(h)8th and they say our fixtures are tough!!! they are just as hard
Haha iv got the Visa out an yes its mine, Sean, Orson do you want me to book you two a room? A liverpool AND arsenal pillow each to bite on maybe?!
Sean do you go the match? Because it seems to me your just a divy writing on a forum sucking up to Arsenal fans, at least i say it how it is. I go home, away and abroad and i’m only young, i know what im talking about, because i’ve been to these games and seen this arrogance all before. Do us a favour and stop wanking over your Torres poster in your room and go the match and get an insight…
Orson you just dont like it when you get be-littled by someone who talks sense. So resort to being offensive. I like Arsenal and always have but i dont like fans like you who chat nonsense and i dont like arrogant fans who think we are a walk over, if anything that statement that we’ll be a walk over is the ‘utter nonsense’ that you talk about. If we dont win it, i want Barca to win because we’ve got a good relationship with them, if Barca dont win it id like Arsenal to.
So all arguing aside, we’ll be at the Emirates in full force an full voice with the famous european banners that we take everywer an im sure the ground will be bouncing and we’ll be at anfield making the ground shake with the famous atmosphere we’re known for.
Game on…..
(Sean i’ll be at both games, where will you be? Sitting in the living room with you pepsi?…)
Yeah, we all have tough draws. But I can’t imagine Liverpool playing us 3 times in a row. I would love to concentrate on the Premier League and win it. Without another striker, it’s gonna be a huge task to win the CL. If we go through, Chelsea is next and Man U is another potential finalist. Anyway, time will tell….
Don’t worry fellow gooners, we all know this is an easy draw for us. Pool going down in flames! And as for them slagging off our accomplishments, what a laugh. We may not have won the cup with the big ears yet, but neither have they ever gone AN ENTIRE SEASON UNBEATEN, an accomplishment we will likely never again see in our lifetime. And that was this century too, by the way. Scouser idiot (not all of you, just that one).
2 mor things then i’ll shut up.
1) sorry about the education up north bit, Ive had a bad week (my two year old sons in Gt Ormond Street fighting for his life so im more than a bit fucking grumpy and stressed) none the less, it lacked class to say the least.
2) Benritez policy of resting Torres/gerrard ? Looking at those fixtures and the fact your stilll in the big one, What do you boys reckon about it now?
scouser
you still here? Oh well i guess a guy like you is used to being places where no one want him………
Why dont you totter off to one of your Untd sites???
Scouser you are a fucking prick and an embarrassment……Home and away in Europe. No need to tell us you are only young…..I can tell that.
I have a healthy respect for Arsenal, end of. They play quality football. Now fuck off back to Toxteth / Croxteth you fucking nob
scouser,
where was that famous atmosphere last January when we tore you a new arsehole twice in four days in front of your silent Kop, fuckwit!
Scouser – be at both games will you?
Have tickets for you gone on sale for The Grove yet? Thought not.
Stop chattin shite
You won’t be able to afford a ticket for ours you theiving cretin.
hey scouser –
fuck off . you come from the most disgusting part of the country. european city of culture? european shithole of culture.
scousers are the worse kind of people – you are a whinging, self pitying bunch of scumbags.
and your football is so shit. indeed if dalglish could express himself in anything resembling english, he would call the football you play shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite.
fuck you scouser.
In games like Birmingham at home when he came on too late (Torres) with like 10mins to spare, he was expected to be the hero and get all 3 points, pressure. But he couldnt and we drew them games. He should of been starting those games with no pressure on him.
I still think resting Torres and going with Kuyt up front was a killer killer blow. Kuyts hearts in the right place and his work rate is unquestionable but hes by no means a striker, not of premiership quality anyway, and to play him as a lone striker, well that got us where we are in the league now! At blackburn away my blood pressure tripled because of him, he missed at least 4-5 clear chances and wasted 3-4 more for others!
I personally think Torres should of started them all and in the situations we were comfortable, he should of been taken off with 25-20mins to go, along with Gerrard. Whats to say after resting him for a few games early on that he still wouldnt get injured playing for Spain which happened and he missed a good 2-3 weeks worth of football. Hes only 24 so i think he’d still be fit and in form had he started 5-6 more league games but its hard 2 say for sure whether hsi form now is due to being rested a lot early on.
Either way hes on fire and its a good little race between him and Adebayor being on 19 league goals each. Shame that mank is walking away with it on 23-24. Hopefully he gets pipped..
It is a tie of two great teams but in my humble opinion will be won by the fans. The reason we win so many of these tough games at home is down to the crowd. Its not that the atmosphere will intimidate the Arsenal players, its because the crowd make the players refuse to lose. Might sound gibberish but you’ll see.
AZZA, No but have you heard of a Liverpool FC fan card you idiot? I have the amount of games that will be required to get them tickets and so i will do, just as i have done for these type of games for years you clown.
Yeah, Scouser, you are right. Everybody underestimated Liverpool even though we are the best English Team in Europe. I hope we kick those drooling Gooners. Cash-strapped? Bull. Arsenal, Man Boo, and Chelski all have millions of pounds at their disposals while Liverpool is getting good results off two or three world-class players, not 20. I hope Dubai will buy the club so we will definitley win the title for the next 10 years.
herdee string – Shite football?
Shite football that wins us WELLLLLLLLL MORE THAN YOUR TEAM!
WOOHOOOHOOOHOOO
If the Dubai arms dealers do buy Liverpool, we can all enjoy calling them DIC-heads.
Herdee/YNMF, keep it sensible, I am responsible for your IP’s if you get my drift.
Let’s keep it civil boys, please.
Even if u bring TH14 bck, you have reached your limit. We shall see Moscow. We got an easy draw, it’s a Olympiakos-like opponent. U can kill each others for us to have an easy semi-final and final…..Hah..ha
Even if you bring moaninho back you’ll have reached your limit, bell end.
As a chav fan what does it feel like when you win something i.e bought something? Is it hollow?
You can do one as well you dick we’ll lord it up over you slags at shitford bridge in the league and in Europe, once we’ve dispensed with the bin dippers.
Whatever happens both sets of fans and clubs should respect each other – remember Ray Kennedy? Despite changes in ownership Liverpool and Arsenal still represent the man in the street – true football inspite of the money madness that strangles the game.
Roll on Arsenal, Chelsea and the Mancs – if Liverpool beat them all then they are worth the cup and the two hands that it will require to display the number of wins.
Respect. the Gooners deserve it, but so do the reds.
Special nights ahead and Rafa is a pretty special manager – Torres is going to be legend…
Forget the spats lads, lets enjoy the football there may be a few surprises on the way…
YNWA – if the Gunners win good luck to them but its going to be a special set of nights…3.0 at haltime eh?
Forget the insulting and stupid comments.
i dont think we should underestimate liverpool, but it is surely an easy draw for us. 3-0 at the grove .. and we will see them struggling at the Kop 1-1
You know it’s easy to say rollover (especially if you live in Indonesia) but harder to do…Watch and learn, if any of you think it will be easy you have another thing coming…it’s a team game – not just beautiful football and Torres plays beautiful football…hard match for both teams – live and learn…if either side lose it will be a split second mistake – don’t underestimate us..we don’t underestimate you..
Hey what are we doing, they should be good games with liverpool very tight and only form will prove who goes through, i’m a bit worried that players will be rested for the league game which we (Arsenal) can’t afford to lose. Also save the comments for those jammy Chelsea cunts who seems to get nothing but the easiest draws every time, in the FA Cup they face none premier league teams, also in the carling cup, last season Arsenal played liverpool, everton and spurs to get to that final while they got piss poor teams. Give all your hatred to them Arsenal and Liverpool fans they’re the enemies of all.
Also they’ll probably buy another 2 or 3 defenders in the summer that’ll make them nice to watch. Van Persie will hit double figures easy before end of season. Thats all.
Out of all the teams we could have drawn, we drew the only one i wanted to avoid! i have admired Liverpool since they claped us off the pitch in 89, the majority of thier fans bar the odd few planks always show us respect no matter how hard the defeat was to take(6-3) which is more than the 70,000 dicks at cold trafford and the 35,000 chavs at stamford fridge. So i would just like to say may the best team win, and if we dont, then good luck liverpool hope you get that 6th star.
Bring it all on – that’s football – that’s life…savour the whole blooming thing – we lose(tragedy)we carry on – we win (ectasy)we celebrate, but the main thing is we never give up – pass and move (and no stupid comments about long balls please) – I want to enjoy the game and the moment…not get bogged down in trading insults with people who have trouble reading The Sun…
I like the arse, more so than chavski and the scum…but I have to point out that I don’t know of any other club in the world with such a high percentage of thick, smug, clueless fans. I mean the number of arse fans who just can’t even pretend to have a sliver of modesty in their make-up who simple leave me frothing at the mouth for Boro to bitch-slap them today and for Liverpool to kick them out of Europe next month.
Cool down Liverpool supporters, we Arsenal supporters are very confident of winning againts your team because we did it so well before, 3-1 and the 6-3 humilating at Anfield..remember??
I have great respect for Liverpool club and it’s history but some fans are too dumb to understand why we are so happy to get your team rather than Chelsea and MU. This will be a great game and that’s what real fans want.
As for the fixture list, it is tough but that is what a title challenging team like Arsenal and MU must go through..bot teams will drop points, so the over-confident MU fans can SHUT D F*CK UP!
The title race is wide open among Arsenal, MU and Chelsea after the 3 dissapointing draws..heck even Chelsea can win it and we Arsenal and MU fans will keep watching. So no one knows.
I hope Arsenal thrash Mboro and get the goal difference gap closer..maybe a 7-0 anyone?? lol. A big win will give the lads huge confidence and that is what really needed now.
ARSENAL ROCKS!!
Noble…I like the Pool fans cse they are just plain Fools!
Just thought I’d chip in my two penn’orth. As a Chelsea fan I ought to be pleased with the draw. Although there are no easy teams at this stage of the competition, I think that most people would regard Fenerbahce as the weakest on paper.
I think it’ll be really close between you and Liverpool, even as close as away goals. I’d have liked Man U to play Barca in the last 8 but they’ll probably meet in the semis anyway.
As for ‘our’ side of the draw, we ought to beat Fener over two legs, but then a few years ago we should have beaten Monaco, ans we really should have beaten Liverpool at least once out of the two efforts we had.
May the best team win, guys ‘n’ gals.
Like Sean, I can only say that some of the morons on here proclaiming this and that about Liverpool are probably Everton fans masquerading as us to give us a bad reputation!
I was not happy when I heard the draw. I think it’s going to be very close. I first heard the first leg was at Anfield and felt a bit pessimistic. Then I heard the second leg was at Anfield and I began to feel that bit more confident. As long as we can stay in the tie by the second leg, I feel we’ll have enough to go through. It’s going to be incredibly close though.
I would take a one goal defeat at the Emirates (with an away goal would obviously be a bonus). Anything more than that without the away goal and it could be tricky.
Anything better than a one-goal defeat at your place and I think you could be in for a testing time at our place in the second leg.
We’ll see. Trade you the league game for the semi? Heh heh!
Mac,
Its stuff like above that makes you realise why other teams supporters are staring to dislike us so much….
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/columnists/reade/
Seems like one of our own in Brian Reade from the Mirror also thinks the same way I do re Wenger…….And before anyone starts yes he does go the game like we do, he drinks in the Sandon before every home game.
Good stuff on the Arsenal TV campaign, ‘holic.
Thanks blogs, I hope it works over there too.
Well, I’m looking forward to the quarter final tussel between arsenal…
Hopefully, the best team over the two legs will prevail (liverpool) 😉
Just a quick word to arsenal general, you forgot to mention the 4-1 thumping we gave you at anfield… 🙂
Naturally, arsenal will feel confident of winning…
But so were chelsea during the last two semi’s…
I hope the games are entertaining and played in good spirit…
Good luck gooners (but not as much as liverpool) 🙂
Ditto arseblogger on the Virgin/Arsenal TV campaign, ‘holic. Good work.
I’m looking forward to all the big games. It’s going to be something like a month where I’m incapable of thinking about anything but football.
Love it when the big headed arrogant opposition brag, Liverpool will eliminate Arsenal and give them a lesson and a taste of a true European giant, you haven never won the European cup have you?, awww how quaint.
Steve you havn’t won the premiership yet but you are the club who is second in the big spenders league of trying to buy it!!
Does anyone know anything about the draw prediction miracle in the Liverpool Echo?
scousser is man utd fan not liverpool
It’s only the minority of Arsenal fans who come out with these arrogant predictions and disrespectful comments and us true Gooners are only embarrassed by their comments. Liverpool have a history second-to-none, a good team and usually loyal, knowledgeable and fair-minded fans. (With the obvious exceptions, as this blog demonstrates) I’ll never forget Robbie Fowler trying to tell the ref it wasn’t a penalty when yet another poor decision had been awarded against us – that’s what I’ve come to expect from Liverpool.
It should be a great football match (or three) and I have no idea who will win, although I hope it’s Arsenal so much that it hurts!!! If we don’t win, I hope Liverpool go on to do well and I hope that anyone apart from the Chavs and the Mancs win, as they both have classless, fair-weather supporters, and arrogant cheating teams.
Well that’s my opinion anyway!!!!
Scouser – You ingnorant little twat. The last time Liverpool won the League? Almost 20 years! You’re as thick as you are mawkish.
Your side is a joke – your fans are a joke – your manager is a joke and we are going to humiliate you … again.
Come on Derby HT score 0:0
Keep it up!
El Tommo, youre the twat mate. How many times have Arsenal won the champions league? Thats right. Never.
Youve won nothing for the last 2 years and youre going to win nothing again this season. Middlesbrough have just ended your title hopes and Liverpool will end your champions league hopes.
By the way, the author of this article had better be hungry because he has a large slice of that humble pie to consume haha
well said steve d there is to much animosity in football, the best team will win on the day(hopefully liverpool) but if not good luck. dont want chelski or manure to win diddly squat. so come on everyone calm down.
lolololololoololololol boro almost did ya again season is almost over boys KTBFFH Chelsea
er.. gooner
d’ya wanna bit of creeeam with da HUMMMBLLE PIE lah or woh??
Cheers trader. I thought we hadn’t won anything for three years still you know your stuff.

orson dear boy ,
if you are going to insult all us thick northeners and chide us about our lack of …wait for it…interlect, !!!!
at least learn to spell the bloody word ,its INTELLECT .
Oops! Humble pie anyone? Could the wheels be starting to come off the cart Gooner fans? Have to say though Arsenal have always been the least annoying capital team.
Christ it’s ridiculous how many fans think you must know more about football if you go to games. I, like most Arsenal fans my age, can’t afford to go to games. That’s the only reason I’ve never been to the Emirates (Villa Park in the league was all I managed last year) and it’s really fucking insulting how some arrogant pricks big up their own knowledge of football and their insight on the back of being able to get to games.
Besides the fact I watch every televised game going and listen to the radio for the rest there’re some shit heads telling me that I know less about football than they do because they were there.
SO?
So you could see what Almunia was doing as Arsenal were up the other end of the pitch, whereas I couldn’t see that on TV. Grow up and stop comparing dick sizes, Jesus.
There are plenty of VALUABLE points people can make to justify their opinions without resorting to the childish crap of saying ‘I’ve been to more games than you’. Like I said, a ridiculously high number of truly diehard fans simply don’t earn enough to go to games, so stop wanking yourselves off and make some REAL points about the actual FOOTBALL.
If I’m mature enough at 18 to see that, I would hope those around who aren’t children would be able to try and do the same and show some respect for those of us who love the Arsenal just as much but can’t manage the games.
