"It's Behind You, Robbo", Fulham, And Out Of Here!
Apr 30th, 2010 by 'holic
There was a distinct end-of-season feel to the press conference ahead of Arsenal’s visit to Blackburn on Bank Holiday Monday.
Four days before the event is perhaps too far in advance to be talking about who may or may not be available, but reading between the lines it looks as though Andrey Arshavin, the only casualty who may return before the end of the season, will probably miss out.
Rovers recent form suggests two out-of-sorts sides will be seeking a confidence boost at Ewood Park. Both clubs drew last time out and suffered a 2-3 reverse in the preceding fixture. Blackburn, eleventh in the table, have strengthened this season under Allardyce, who I suspect will never be a favourite with us.
There is no doubt though that he will send out a side to battle and disrupt us from the start. His motivation is more, however, than the destruction of the beautiful game. Look at what he said after the draw at Wolves last week.
“In this league every position is worth £750,000 and that is a good down payment on a decent player.”
His supporters would argue he is doing what he has to in order to take one of the less wealthy clubs to the next level.
From my point of view it will be a delight to come up against Paul ‘it’s behind you‘ Robinson again. Arsenal have almost single-handedly destroyed the porker’s reputation in the top flight. He will suffer an arthritic back in his retirement years as a result of retrieving the ball from the back of his net 47 times in 16 meetings with the Gunners.
This may be his best chance to get a bit of revenge, but the ‘holic pound is decided by the fact that Robbo will come face to face with a Robin van Persie looking to send a message to his World Cup boss. I have already taken the 6/1 offered by Paddy Power on Robin scoring two or more goals. Fingers crossed for that one. You might also fancy odds of around evens for Arsenal just to win. You won’t get that at Blackburn too often.
One F in Fulham
A quick word of congratulations to Fulham, and their long-suffering supporters on reaching the Europa League Final. Football fans throughout England were, I suspect, rooting for them just a little bit against Hamburg. They don’t get many big games to look forward to, and I hope that Roy Hodgson can deliver the victory for them against Jose Antonio Reyes and his mates from Madrid.
Weekend Away
If you are off to Blackburn I hope you have a great trip and the side put up a better fight than they did a fortnight ago in the north-west. I will be spending a welcome break in the Black Country trying to educate (or is that brainwash?) number one grandson just a little more, so there is unlikely to be another blog before the match report.
If you are at the M5/M6 junction on Friday lunchtime would you please pull over to the hard shoulder until you see a blur in British racing green go flashing by! Have a good one, ‘holics.

First!
Just a coffee for now please barman.
Was at the Fulham game last night, proper old school stadium and an atmosphere that rocked.
Made me think how few great nights we’ve had so far at the Emirates. Well until next season that is…

Euro nights at Highbury were much much better!
Holic,
I had the pleasure of sharing a journey into work this morning with a Fulham S/T holder of vintage years and to say he was still absolutley buzzing is an understatment the joy in his voice as he talked about last nights victory reminded me of why i still love the game if not all the other aspects that are now associated with it, Long may it continue into Hamburg !!
Arsenal 11/1 to win??…No i don’t think so mate
Congrats to Fulham, Hodgson seems a thoroughly nice chap and a true gentleman. I’ll be rooting for them in the final.
I am fairly confident that we’ll beat Blackburn on Monday. The Man City game was a very dull affair, but after having seen most of the second half again the other day I have to say that it was also a rather good game tactically on our part because we totally strangled City’s attacking options. The only thing that was really poor was the quality of the final ball. Keep that defensive focus but let’s be a bit more careful with the final ball and we’ll be ok.
I agree congrats to Fulham.
I enjoyed their result about 50% as much as I enjoyed the look on all those scally faces when Forlan struck in the kop end last night.
As for “I am the Walrus”, Allardyce – he will be sending out his troops to kick and maim, as ever. Here’s hoping we stand up to them but I think some of the Arsenal team are already thinking summer thoughts if the second half at Wigan is anything to go on…I predict a low scoring draw, with Arsenal picking up 3 new injuries (what odds for that Holic?).
Here’s to the early ‘holic pound and the green blur. Arsenal for Ever but Fulham for Now.
Cant wait for next season to start.. Its all a bit unreal right now – as if we are going through the motions.
the most hilarious about liverpool last night is rafa saying he need to rebuild the team…what he s been doing the last 6 year with the 100 players he bought and sold specially now Pool are broke thank to him
Well done to Fulham and “sir”Roy have show to other English manager that going coaching abroad you can learn one or two thing.Look at Steve McLaren who could win the dutch League in the next few week,
Why give Liverpool the chance of winning the Europa League but exclude Arsenal who lasted longer in the Champions League? All credit to Fulham who have singlehandedly done more to increase my interest in the Europa League/UEFA Cup than any other club in memory.
…wel done fulham, barman please give me what you have been serving roy!
Read this and understand it. (April 28)
This is the probably advice given to Wenger by the Board.

Cheers, Germany Gooner. Interesting read.
Well, fellas, it kinda feels like summer is already here…. yawn.
At least it’s a World Cup year! Come on Chile!!!!!!
Lemonade, barman. Thanks.
pires is king, Chile eh? Couldn’t care much about the WC since India is 132nd FIFA rankings and have little chance of making it to the WC in my lifetime.
The only matches I watch will be the ones in which Oranje play.
Much like the current Arsenal squad – so talented, a joy to watch but end up winning nothing.
Congratulations to Fulham indeed….well deserved. I must say that apart from Highbury the only ground I visited often when living in Chiswick was Fulham, and this was when they were in (the old) Div 3. Great ground and a fairly likable club.
If we needed reminders that things aren’t so bad just look at Liverpool. 2nd last season and hopes to win the league last August, the painful season they’ve had isn’t even tempered by brighter days ahead – they look a shambles.
Finally back after the most hectic two weeks in awhile. finally watched wigan and man city games on the dvr this Monday without knowing the results of the matches before hand… oh the joys of being an over seas gooner!
Chicago Gooner, You must be hurting about now at the same level that the rest of us were a couple of weeks ago. My sympathies, but time has made it a little better (not much tho)!
End of season nearly here. 3 points guarantees third. That means we can watch the final game of the season as if it was a testimonial. I would reiterate the best wishes for fulham. I have always had a soft spot for them due to being taken to the cottage several times as a nipper by my grandfather. Hopefully they will be able to put out the reserves against us.
A bit off track but am i the only one concerned by Arsene’s comments re transfer targets? Le Boss can do little wrong in my eyes but one thing that gives me the raging arse is the amount of times we have been promised signings only for nothing to happen. His talk of only 2/3 signings i find disturbing. One will no doubt be chamack. That may leave only one more???? I do wish he would say nothing unless it is something definite.
3 – 1 to the Gunners. Have a nice bank holiday weekend everyone.
Hey Sajit, cheers! Man after my own heart- I love watching the Netherlands play. Every tournament it seems they look like outside favorites and then- nada. This summer’s no different, I suspect, but I wish ’em the best. Chile has no chance, but you know… young team, hopefully they’ll play with some passion.
Don’t care much for England, sorry to say good gentlemen!;-)
Nice heady pint of Guinness, if you will.
TA6, have you been on dodgy mushrooms? You’re seeing things fella.
Steve, It sounds like there will only be 3 signings if one big player (Gallas?) leaves, otherwise 2 is the most likely number with Chamakh being one. That leaves the question of which position does Arsene want to strengthen with the second signing. He was reported today as saying the number of goals we conceded this year were too many to challenge for the championship so I have little doubt it will be a defensively-oriented signing. Knowing that Silvestre or Campbell (or both) will not be back next season we have to start with a new player in central defence, especially with Djourou’s recovery still uncertain. With Song healthy and improving so fast, it will be hard to bring in an experienced defensive midfielder to sit on the bench.
A bit off topic, but I’m terribly curious: why do you think it is so unclear whether or not Wenger will buy a new keeper? It seems we supporters are all sort of biting our nails and praying Wenger does something which seems so painfully obvious to us. I, probably like many of you, would hate to challenge his decision-making as he’s a genius, he clearly cares deeply about the club and winning, and is with the squad day in and day out. With that said, does anyone else always feel on the edge of begging him to fix such a transparent leak? If he up and buys a quality keeper this summer and backs them up with Szczesny, then we can assume he was simply keeping up morale ’til the end of the season, as nothing to be done anyways. But I can’t keep from having a painful ache in my mind that he’ll simply say some sort of ‘they will be great’ rationale and keep our same lot of error-prone keepers.
What’s missing here?
I dont think it is too hard to bring in a top class holding midfield player. He can play with song when needed and rotate the duties as and when needed. That makes it a lot easier to for Song to cover at centre half if necessary. I also think a new centre half is an absolute must. Top of the list has to be a top class keeper. For me, i would also like a wide player brought in.
So that is 3 new signings, plus chamakh, and that is assuming no player leaves. I just hope his words are a bit of a smoke screen.
Bring on blackburn. Keep the faith.
Steve, couldn’t agree more we need 4-5 players at the very least to become a more balanced squad we are seriously lacking numbers and class in goal, centrehalf,dm,Proper winger and another forwad basically we need a new spine brought in, It already seems like we are going to be in groundhog day again this summer with regards Wengers contradictary quotes, Fingers crossed it’s all a smokescreen for once and he’ll buy what’s required!
I have always trusted AW, but if he does not get us a keeper for the new season then serious questions need to be asked.
Neither Fabianski nor Almunia would get anywhere near the 1st team of the 2 sides above us in the league and if we have any aspirations to win the league this MUST be addressed.
I agree with Chippy, we also need a defensive midfielder and a centre half as minimum. I hope that we are all not here gnashing and wailing at the end of the transfer window in August.
Assuming Gallas stays – and Campbell too –
Wouldn’t Djourou partner TV as the first choice pairing? Is that pair strong enough? Should be buy a central defender for depth or one who steps into the first eleven?
I don’t have the answers, just the questions and never seeing Djourou play for an extended spell I’m more confused than ever. I thought Gallas/TV made for a good pairing but still nothing approaching a league winning pair. As much as I love what we can do going forward at our best that feeling that you can almost bank on the opposition getting one every match this season must get resolved.
My somewhat pessimistic scenario at #23 is based on Wenger’s behavior the last few years but if significantly more money will actually be spent this summer then the acquisition of an experienced keeper should be our priority and a ruthless defensive midfielder should be brought in too.
Good evening Holic & Holic`s
Im with Steve T & Chippy, I am also disappointed with the boss saying only 2/3 players will come in with the truth being more like 2. Not what I was hopping for, with the likes of Silv,Gallas,Eddie and proberly Vela as well all leaving, 2 into 4 doesn’t go in this case. Again more going out that will be coming in, in fairness to the boss 3 of the above are little more than squad players at the moment but as we have seen this season with more injuries than I can ever remember its a good idea to have a large squad.
So if one of the players coming in has to be a defender and the other Chamakh that leaves us with the same goalkeeper’s. Not acceptable if you ask me, we absolutely need a new keeper that is a given as is a new defender. So say he dose buy a keeper that makes 3, and as Arsene said 3 will be the maximum purchase`s. But as steve t and chippy said I also think a world class midfielder is required not only for a replacement for Song if he gets injured but to play along side him and Cesc as Diaby is far too inconsistent and Denilson lacks drive and can be incredibly lazy at times at that has cost us this season. Nasri can be a short term replacement for Cesc as he has been this season, but to be fair no one can replace Cesc. So not too sure what Arsene is thinking and not for the first time.
On a different note is anyone else getting sick of Arshavin and his moaning, as the boss has clearly had enough as well. If you want to leave then leave Arshavin. Why would we want a player who doesn’t want to be here, many have argued that a lot is lost in translation but I don’t think the main point is lost do you ? Don’t get me wrong I love him as a player however I love the club more and I don’t want players wasting our time keep bitching about the club I love.
Arsenal 1971, I had a bit of a go about Arshavin the other day too, but in case you haven’t seen it “Arseblog” has a good rationale for it today (especially the latest, supposed moan about the medical team).
I think our most important signing of the summer, apart from a centre back, would be a proper ‘George-minded’ defensive coach.
I know modern defenders have different roles to play these days, and have to build and support attacks, but often our defenders seem to have no idea where each other are, or what they should do about it.
If you look at the individuals in our defence, they are nearly all (sorry MS18) good to excellent players. The problem is they don’t communicate, with the exceptions of Sol and TV, and they don’t help each other.
As great a signing as Vermaelen has been, and as good a player as Gallas is, how many times this season have forwards simply run between the pair of them?
Martin Keown, who coached Eboue, Toure, Senderos and Flamini to a Champions League defensive record, said on radio during the week that he would have loved to stay and continue in the job, but was not offered a staff position. That made his job a bit awkward and he, therefore, left.
With some of Keown’s organisation, maybe we would no longer have to watch Clichy watching Silvestre ignoring Bale, as the latter strolls through our back four to score for the Spuds, as per 2 weeks or so ago.
Talking to each other would be an easy thing to achieve, you would think, and would not even require the spending of further multi- millions.
Here’s hoping.
Agree totally with 71 re Arshavin. He is a luxury player. At times he is magical. He is blessed with wonderful talent. But he is not a grafter. At times he is nothing but lazy. In days when we have been lacking he has often gone missing. For me this makes his recent moaning even harder to put up with. Keep your trap shut son and get on with the game. Surely that is a concept that should not be too hard to grasp?
Good morning Holic & Holic`s
Trev couldnt agree more about needing a old school defencive coach and bless Keown you dont get more old school than him. You are quite right also about the total lack of comunication between our defenders, they are either telepathic or dont talk to each other. I am going for the latter, when we are defnding a corner or a free kick you dont see anyone take over and start yelling at the players were they should be and what they should be doing. Was Adams ever solem when set pieces were happening ? No he would be shouting and pointing were he wanted everyone and was constantly talking to Bould/Keown,Dixon and Winterburn. Plus the midfielders got there orders quick time as well.
Steve T I agree about Arshavin also, i will take you back a few weeks to a little game against Barca were there best player Messi isnt just there for the odd glimpse of genius and stunning flair. No this is a player who tracks back and handles his defensive duties also. There isnt a case for luxury players in the morden game at all when the best player in the world is prepare to put in a full shift all round the field to defend and attack. So we are back to being just lazy and i for one dont accept that. I am not saying Arshavin isnt a top quality player but i am saying he is lazy and that is not fair on the wing back playing behind him and its that simple.
Good afternoon Holic & Holic`s
Been fishing around the internet on the transfer stories going about ( bored ) and a few have linked us with Scott Parker, now this may sound strange but he is a player I have always liked purely down to his incredible work rate and determination. he is not a flair player he will cut defences in half with a killer ball and win every header. However he is a player you know what you are getting week in week out, he will cover every blade of grass on the field and not give up. Also a Englishman which will be handy as he will understand what it means to put on the Arsenal shirt, not a player who will think i will do a season or two here then try and head for pastures new with a huge pay rise and watch my career crumble as so many others have down the years thinking the grass is greener else were, i wont list them as any gooner will know who they are and also there is quite a few and I cant be arsed to type them all.
We have also been linked with Joe Hart not a new name i know but again a Englishman who will have alot of respect for the shirt and is also a great talent and will improve as well and still better than what we have on offer at the moment.
Its strange how i have drifted back to wanting more players who understand what the shirt means to us fans and not just players who have all the talent in the world but just seem to be byding there time at Arsenal until a better offer comes their way and want to coast through games and are not willing to go the extra mile. I have lost count of the players from France who at this moment are sending out the come and buy me plaese Mr Wenger signals. I am very sure they want to come not to be honoured to put on the legendary shirt but to build there reputation and do the off as soon as the offers come in.
We are a team that has flair and quality in abundance so I think we are missing the fighting spirit of old, the never say die attitude that won us trophys in the past. Before anyone says it i know that we have gotten a lot of late goals this seasons so this must show the never say die attitude but if you look at the opposition we have gotten them goals against in the last 5 mins of injury time they are mainly teams we shouldnt have been loosing or drawing against in the first place.
In short I would like to see proven workaholics who would rather die than give up. Because we have to many players who think chasing the player back isnt worth it on 60,000 a week.
Am i wrong ?
Sorry to post 3 in a row and this is going to kill me to say but after you get beaten by the arch enemy isnt it good to have the deired response from the players like what chelski done to Stoke. Chelski were beaten fair and square by the scum but it didnt take to long for them to relise if they want to win the league the only way is to put a bad performance behind you and put it right in the next game.
That is the desire i want form our players.
71. The desire you are talking about should have been on display at wigan. Sadly it was lacking in abundance. Not wrong to expect it. Not wrong at all. Just look at sol during games. In my opinion his reactions have shown what we have been missing.
I am of the school that we only need 2/3 max but that they have to be class – ones that take the squad to another level.
Really not sure about Parker – like him but not technical enough for me and Arron will be as good next year IMO.
Joe Cole not good enough.
If we do sign anyone then lets spend real money on a couple of worldcalss players (in ddition to Chamakh) who we can integrate in to what we have got already.
If Gallas and Campbell stay we have enough at CB. Otherwise we need someone who can deliver the ball in from the right. I would go for Gerrard myself.
There are 2 games still 2 go 2. If you 2 can summon the enthusiasm 2 go, that is. The next one, 2 days from now, 2nd from last, is away 2, 2 Fat Sam the 2 tonner and his 2 bit husslers in 2 bit Blackburn. The one after that, 2 from now, is home 2 Fulham. Although difficult 2 predict, that’s likely 2 be boring 2. We wont get 2nd. Bronze is likely 2 be our lot 2 live with through 2 next season. Maybe we can win the 2ble then?
If you can’t be bothered 2 go, the game’s on Channel 2 at 2 am Bangkok time for all 2thy Thais who want 2 watch 2, when they really should’ve gone 2 sleep instead of 2ning in.
The game has a Mary Poppins feel 2 it 2. Arsene is likely 2 be trying 2 find 2pence for paper and 2-ply string 2 tie the walking wounded 2gether so they 2 can fly like birds on the wing. If they can’t, 2pence will buy a bag 2 feed the birds with a spoonful of sugar 2 help the medicine 2 go down.
2 toss 2 dice on this one can only bring 2 outcomes. 1-1 for the home team. And 1-1 for the away team 2. Not 2 much 2 get excited about either way you want 2 look at it on 2 sides of that coin. But it would be 2 wrong 2 rely on the 2 dice 2 much. They’ve been wrong 2 many times 2 trust them 2 times in a row as a basis 2 place a wager on 2 Holic pounds, successively (2ce that is).
It feels 2 much like end-of-season fare 2 me, 2 get 2 excited about which of 2 keepers will play 2moro between 2 goal posts. Are we likely 2 play better in the 2nd half than the first? 2 early 2 say. I don’t want 2 think 2 hard that they might score 2, 2 our one. 2 terrible 2 contemplate 2 ton Sam gloating 2 much over 2 whiskies on 2 ice cubes 2 minutes after the 2 minutes of extra time.
The BtM crystal ball is 2 full of 2 much rubbish 2 see 2 much in it. I’m going 2 predict my first 2-2 draw of the season. 2, 2, 2 boring for words. I’m wondering if I’ll bother 2 2ne in 2moro.
BtM are you 2 much or what?
The feast of St Totteringham has been delayed enough. Just go and make it happen boys!
Arsenal 1971,
to be honest , I dont think being an Englishman would anyway affect your loyalty to the club. I mean look at the fact that John Terry had his head turned by City, Gerrard by Chelsea and of course our very own Ashley Cole.
If you’re loyal – you are.
Predicting Nasri (my namesake, did you notice?) to get on the scoresheet and Arsenal to win 2-1.
yea bt8bnn I went from absolute disgust and shock to being put to sleep during the city match. oh and really off topic , one good thing about the Barca Inter match is that the whole world finally saw what a cheating diving **** Busquets is and how he got away with it against us but atleast not again.
I dont believe …
all this bollox about arshavin and clichy going to B’arse’ a loner. Both will be at Arsenal next year – spanish press at it again -what a bunch of C u next tuesdays they are.
I cant believe …
that Arsene wont be looking for a new keeper next year – several top quality keepers will be available – Buffon , Akinfeev, Lloris, Hart, Green etc
If he dont buy we can write next season off as well coz flapianski and almoonia are complete shite – together they both lost us about ten points this season – how many points will we finish off the top = 10 points. ( Wigan 3pts , Manure – home 1pt and away 1pt-, Birmingham 3pts, chelski away 1pt, spurs away 1pt)
I’ll have a glass of your finest Akinfeev vodka with a little buffon cherry on top.
Cheers!
Hi honey, I’m home 😉
Just seen the team news. Am i the only one that thinks we deserve some sort of explanation as to why we have even more injuries? What the fuck is going on?
Not going to comment on this game, shocking speaks to mind again!
complete and utter shite. Embarrassing. If Wenger thinks we only need 2 or 3 extra players then he is fucking dreaming. No heart, no fight and basic errors. Shocking.
What’s the word for what I just saw? The only ones coming to mind are “shameful” and “embarrassing.”
I said you would lose the curse of Campbell is upon you, I wonder how kind you will feel next weekend when Fulham does and number on you.
Wednesday is be big day .. Then followed by the Burnley game we are on a role
I now am officially fed up of this season. And we still can’t discount spuds. FFS!!!!!!!!
@Sajit, The point was they may understand more what it is to wear the shirt more than a foreginer. Terry=still at chelski Gerrard=still at the pool, and why do you think we call him cashley. What mat be writen and what comes to pass are two different things.
As for the game
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
apart from campbell, rvp and arshavin…..NO HEART
Mr Cusop, here’s the door, don’t let it hit you on the arse on the way out.
I have more competitive spirit when I play weekend football . I promise. I hate losing. Cannot believe professional football players dont feel the same.
loyalty? doesnt mean shit if you ask me
campbell wasnt loyal to anyone but he gives 100 %
vermaelen isnt english…he gives 100 %
walcott??? runs to the byline smashes the ball against the defender time and time again
diaby makes you wanna tear your hear out on days like these
fabianski isnt meant to play for a top team(i hope im proven wrong)
rest of the guys who played today????? sure theyll all mature….but they arent hardworking….3 seasons everytime the going got tough everyone disappeared
Agree with nearly everything that’s been said about today’s game. We showed almost no fight so business as usual cannot be the response of management to this season-ending debacle.
CUSOP
dont forget to visit arseblog aswell
ill let you know the day i stumble upon a spurs blog
forgive the caps
BUT DURING DAYS LIKE THESE, I SIT BACK AND REMIND MYSELF “ATLEAST IM NOT A SPURS FAN”
THANK F##K
Charlie too much fun here, wheres the love, Dr. Wengers methods were always going to bite you up the arse eventually. Fact Blackburn are hard to beat actually can you name the teams that have beaten them at home this year.
Let me give U a clue they have only lost twice all season.. COYS
Well I also thank the lord Im not many things? The Caravans are rumberling I can hear!! As the Gooners get ready to eat their general
*gets out a dictionary to decipher Cusop’s posts*
Cusop,
Not being funny or anything but do you seriously have nothing better to do on a BanK Holiday Monday?
When we beat you or you lost to someone else I didn’t go on your forum and took the piss as this is exaclt what you are doing doing now.
Go back to your forum please….kindly.
That match was a fucking disgrace. We didn’t show enough fight and the officials should be lined up and shot. Quite how Dunn (rugby demonstration), Pederson (kick-out on Rvp) & Grella (deliberate elbow on RvP, after his first booking) stayed in the match is a mystery. We could have used the help as Diaby was only slightly less invisible than Vela.
Yes, Flappy-handski has been poor of late but I’m not sure Joe Hart or Cech would have to put up with that much shite in the penalty area.
Very disappointing result that made for thoroughly painful viewing. Going to need a couple of bourbons, neat to numb the pain.
ps. Cusop, take a fucking leap you muppet
LASAGNA WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
LASAGNA WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
fancy dinner cusop?
70% possession. 3 shots on target. Our starting 11 contained 10 full internationals. Not even close to being good enough. I am rapidly starting to lose patience with some of these players.
According to reports wenger has money to spend this year. I hate to say it but i think he has 1 more season. Another season that does like this one and i think that may well be it.
SteveT, agree with most of that but heart and desire costs fuck all and these players seriously lack the character demanded of Arsenal players, something is seriously wrong at the club for performances to be so bad so often, Top clubs with Top players lose a game and come back hard this lot look ad tho they don’t give a fuck and that is a disgrace to the shirt and the fans,Wenger needs to cut his losses and cull some of these offenders as they are getting away with murder.
Is this the same team that won agains Hull, West Ham, Bolton etc?
No way!
I agree chippy. Never have i witnessed so much apathy from such a bunch of overpaid twats in all my life. Not an ounce of passion from the vast majority. But hey, most are at least 60k better off so i am sure it wont affect them that much.
ay cusop
how many managers is that you lot have gone through since 96?
and look who you landed….the fat cunt who’s gonna leave you lot with a bank balance of 1.00, which of course will be owed to the milkman…………….or maybe the team chef?
wenger didnt seem too happy in the post match confrence
1st time he’s mentioned individual performances
Dublin Gooner, nice shots !! Good to see your taking defeat in the right spirit.
Arthur please take a chill pill, you only lost a game and now St Totteringhams day has been postponed until Wednesday.. Now if it ends up all getting sorted on Sunday..
Holic and I once had a debate on another forum and it went well until certain Gurners lost the plot. But he has always done me proud shown up to wind me up when we are out darkest hour (which is more often then not for a spurs fan) In reality to win at Citeh on wednesday is technically a big ask. I think we can do it. The reason is that the chap who you claim will bankrupt us has built a half decent team and it has strength and depth and couple o stand out players. Im sure you will be cheering us along Wednesday. Waving flags and shouting come on you spurs… YER RIGHT!! There is transition in the league and for the first time in quite few years it will not be the same old 4 in the CL
Now its the same old 3 + another. if you all ask yourself a simple question aren’t you a teeniest bit relieved that its the Mickey Mousers and not you !! And the fear should be come next year will it be your turn?
I think I shall leave you now to go visit my spud friend for a nice glass of wine and let you lot feaster a bit more!!
Love is in the air!!
Dear oh dear.
What an agonising end of season.
Arsene, fix it please. No way is 2 or 3 maximum signings going to do the trick. Ship out the dead wood – to Man City preferably – they’ll pay big money for players who have been shown the door at Arsenal.
A pint of your strongest barman.
That was a shocker, awful.
No passion for the shirt
The fact that Giggs at 36 has more ambition than Vela at 21 tells you everything you need to know
Vela has hardly had a game all season. Finally he gets picked, a chance to show people what he can do, this is his big chance, anyone with half a brain would run his socks off to show the manager how good he is
but he is invisible, does abolutely nothing except miss a sitter and them smile. If he was crap and tried I can live it with it, but he is in fact talented and yet couldn’t give a f*ck
That is a horrible combination!
