Seasons Greetings And Thank You ‘Holics
Dec 23rd, 2010 by 'holic
Hello ‘holics. On the basis that I am not entirely sure whether I will be able to post a Chelsea preview tomorrow, or on Boxing Day, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas, and a happy and healthy new year.
I do have one last request as well. If you could keep off the M5 southbound on Friday morning, and northbound in the evening, I would be enormously grateful!
Seriously though, I hope the holiday brings you everything you wish for, and thank you so much for visiting in astonishing numbers throughout the year. If you have been folllowing the ‘holic pound religiously this season can I suggest you quit while you are ahead.
Cheers all.

Merry Christmas ‘Holic. Thanks for another great year of posts. Off up to Limehouse for Christmas myself and hoping our ‘kids’ give us an adult performance on the 27th v the Chavs. One day I’ll get to the Tolly and buy you a pint of the dark stuff. Orrabest pal.
Cheers, Holic.

Happy Christmas everyone and a happy new year!
From the Goonertown Family!
I can’t do anything but join the choir, ‘Holic.
There may be bigger Arsenal sites on the web. There may be sites more into the business of humor. There may be sites more into voicing some of the concerns we all have at times. There may be more specialized sites bringing us the latest news from London Colney. There may be a whole number of sites that excel your humble bar in a number of ways.
Well, that doesn’t matter one bit, does it? I feel at home here, both with what you bring to the table with your very own special brand of writing, and the bleeding wonderful people in the bar. I quite like the alcohol as well.
If Highbury was the house of football, this is, at least, the summer house.
That’s why I’m extending my best to you and yours ‘Holic and a very merry Christmas.
Cheers ‘holic…wishing you and the family a healthy and happy Christmas.
Thanks for a year of great blogging and fun plus a connection to home..it’s appreciated.
72f on Christmas day….just saying….
The very best to you and your family, have a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year. Thanks for the wonderful work you do here that keeps us all coming back.
I’ll be in attendance for the Wigan, Brum and Citeh matches coming up soon, looking forward to seeing where you lay the ‘Holic pound in order to lay the Rock pound another way… all kidding aside, gin and tonic for me, to drink to your good health.
All the best to you and yours ‘Holic! Another great year of blogs!
I don’t often post but I always read!
happy christmas to all the holics, have a great one and a new year full of health and fun with some cash lobbed in

Here’s hoping that 2011 is the year of the Arse 🙂
Santa appears to have come early for me this year – I am hopeful of two home tickets vs The Chavs on Monday. What a surprise, what a privilege and what a treat!
I’m already praying to the weather gods.

Festive cheer and best wishes to one and all. Holic, cheers for the great blogs. Always well presented and always there to evoke comment. Cheers my old son.
9 points from the games against the chavs, Wigan and Brum should shut that knob Nani up as well which has to be a bonus.

Keep the faith.

Here is to a much needed 3 points on Monday, it will be great to share that with the many like-minded Gooners on here.
Thanks Mean. Really hope you and yours get everything you wish for this Christmas.
Get over to Arsenal Vision people, if you haven’t already.
Top, top man, and first-class Gooner.
Thanks so much holic,
I will only know about getting everything I wish for late on Monday night 😉
I’m with Toby (11). ‘Holic, I’ve read your blog for a couple of years now, and only recently found myself propping up the bar.
I think I’m yet to read a word that I disagree with, and you’re a welcome breath of true Gooner air.
My best to you and yours this Christmas, especially ‘holicdad. Can we have an update?
Plot your escape to the telly/pub now ‘holics, is my advice. I just mentioned to Arsenally mine that there was a football match on the 27th and her reaction was not pleasing
Christmas brandy please barman.
Christmas toast to ‘holic, the blogger of all seasons. St. Rogue Red Ale if you will barman, it’s my new favorite beer and it’s from Oregon. Odder things have happened and I think we just may be able to grind out a result against the Chavs. Let’s make that toast #2.
Morning all, hope you are having a good one.
Merry Xmas holic to you and yours. No bloody stuffing to be found anywhere around here,so i suppose Chelsea will do for a start.
Two tottenham fans standing on top of a mountain, one is wearing the home kit the other is wearing the away kit, suddenly a gust of wind blows them both over the edge. Which one hits the ground first?
Who gives a fuck!
Happy Christmas holic and holics
Best wishes to all the holics and a special thought for `Holicdad.
And a toast to the players about to bring us our late Xmas gift on Monday. Cheers!
To get back to Arsenal I find myself agreeing 120% with Martin Keown:
“There’s lots of talk about the back four but I think they need to be a bit more demanding of the people that play in front of them and certainly those in wide positions.
I think the wide players can do more to help, and our attitude used to be the more they do in front of us, the less we do.
It’s ok wanting to play with the ball, but you have to play without it. You need to defend as a team.”
…
“You win together, you lose together. The full backs are able to attack with great venom and great energy, so why can’t the wide players defend with the same energy?
It’ about a willingness to work for one another. You can’t carry any passengers and I just think one or two of them could do more when they’re not in possession.”
…
“I still believe this Arsenal team can win the title; of course they can. They’re in the hunt… So it’s all there for the taking – if only the whole team can work together.”
