Hoops Away And Win A Titi Tee Competition
Mar 3rd, 2015 by 'holic
The hunt for a Champions League qualifying place moves on to Loftus Road on Wednesday night. For many that means a top three berth because nobody wants the burden of another qualifier in August, and Arsene today set his sights firmly on second place, which most definitely would be a progression on recent seasons.
“The only thing you can say is that it’s very tight. You look in front and Manchester City are four points ahead of us, and you look behind and there’s plenty of people chasing us. If you ask a team who is four points behind us, they will say it’s realistic to try to catch us. Manchester City are four points in front of us, so mathematically of course it is possible.”
Aaron Ramsey is added to the squad that was available for Everton on Sunday, and the medical staff will make the final call on whether or not Francis Coquelin can play, although Arsene was quick to point out earlier that there is “no obvious reason why he should not be available”.
Struggling Rangers could welcome back Sandro in place of the suspended Joey Barton, and there will be late tests on Onuoha and Isla. How I wish the latter’s first name was Pete. They have lost five of their last six league games, while the Gunners have taken maximum points in six of the last seven. One word of caution in the stats however, the Arsenal have only won one of their last seven league matches away to Rangers.
It would not be a surprise to see Alexis back in the starting line-up tomorrow, and it is possible too that Nacho Monreal may be preferred at left-back to Kieran Gibbs to counter the supply of crosses from Matt Phillips to Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora.
The ‘holic pound
Surely the penny has finally dropped at Rangers and they realise they are running out of time to put space between themselves and the bottom three, which they are at present purely on goal difference? It would not be a surprise to see them raise their game markedly for the derby fixture, but I am tipping the Gunners to land a second consecutive ‘holic pound with a 1-2 away win. Paddy Power offer sevens against that, which is what they paid out on Sunday for the 2-0.
Win A Titi Tee Courtesy of Art of Football
While we hope the team will be taking one game at a time there is no escaping the fact that next Monday we face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Our friends at Art of Football have offered one lucky reader the chance to win a teeshirt featuring Thierry Henry’s classic strike against United in October 2000. In addition we also have a 10% discount code on any design from them, just enter WENGER when prompted on the order screen.
Available in three colours and five sizes, this striking design is a reminder of a game that brought us a happy outcome against Monday’s opponents. You can see the shirt in more detail here.
To win just answer this question. Who scored the two unanswered goals when we beat United in the FA Cup at Old Trafford in February 2003. (Ironically Thierry was rested that day!). Choose from :-
a) Francis Jeffers and Martin Keown
b) Sol Campbell and Robert Pires
or c) Edu and Sylvain Wiltord
Send your answer (just the one entry please) to competition@goonerholic.com to arrive before midnight (UK time) on Saturday, 7th March and include an email address that I can share with Art of Football so they can contact you re your preferred size and colour.
You can also follow Art of Football on Twitter and Facebook. I most certainly do.
That’s it for tonight, Good luck, ‘holics.

Don’t know the answer but I’m guessing it was Edu and Wiltord.
Will echo @bt8b
No idea…arghhh my brain cells.. or lack of!
Though i would prefer it to be Campbell and Pires!
Anyway the right Question should be, who will score the two unanswered goals when we meet ManU next in the FA cup?
Did i win???!
😀
Good to see you Sunday sir
I’m looking forward to the game tomorrow but not the seat.I first saw us win here on a quagmire in 1979 when Brady and Willie Young were the stars. That’s not a sentence I often write. I think the Boss might be spot- on with his excellent prediction.
I’m also attaching my last post because it didn’t beat the threshold and it was pure genius- well it’s average anyway.
Back- drinking some excellent posts which express a variety of views which underlines the uncertainty around the club. N7 this morning elaborates on a theme he has consistently espoused that we will win the League next season. He does it well too. Another respected poster Cynic takes a contrary view in a very respectful way. That shows how wide the disparity in views is. People who love the club, know the game and are watching the same performances at opposite ends of the spectrum .
I’m nearer to N7 but while I still think we have an excellent squad and it will improve next season I think Mourinho sadly won’t implode, Citeh will get a better manager, Liverpool will be stronger and United will get stronger although I don’t think LVG will be good enough to win the title even if they spend the GDP if a small African state on players again. Sadly I also think Pocchetino is the best manager the Scum have had for a while . So next year will be competitive and while we may be better we will have to be, possibly even to stand still.
Cynic is brave enough to take the plunge. If we do I can almost guarantee we will take several steps back. We will crave the fourth place trophy in a couple of years and a lot of our stars will be restless. Such is Wenger’s alchemy. So I’m in the odd position of wanting to retain a manager who I don’t think can win us the League.
In fact I would be very interested if we can find three managers that we could and would employ , who would join us and who could do better than Wenger. I’m not sure I can find any
Finally my grandson scored2/3 pens and saved 2/3 at Wembley on Sunday. My Spuds mate said he was the most dangerous forward Spurs had on Sunday.
Cheers, Holic.
Loftus Road does indeed always seem to be a frustrating ground for us. At least that disgusting little turd Barton won’t be kicking lumps out of everyone.
QPR-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA. 🙂
C) Edu and Wiltord! What a game.
Cheers Guv.
2-1 sounds good. 3-1 better of course. I hope Alexis gets one- it is time. He is made all the more likely to be effective by the fact that I have taken the pressure of being my fantasy league captain off of him. Clearly it has been weighing him down.
Ttg- Glad you reposted- it was worth reading twice! I also want to retain Wenger. I do think he can win us the league. But I don’t consider it particularly likely. I do though feel strongly that with the resources we have and given the competition we face that there are few managers in the world who could deliver us league success next year. And availability is a further question. There are however many who would promise lots and deliver less than Arsene.
By the time Wenger does leave the club (two and a bit years maximum) we, as a club, will be closer and more ready for sustained success. We have been building a sustainable platform for years and he has been key to that. In the meantime we will see what happens. And no-one in any cup wants to draw Arsenal.
I don’t expect us to win stuff. We face an artificial competition level spurred on by silly people with more money than sense. I would rather we maintained some integrity, were true to our values and if we do manage to win things then all the better. I know I will always approach this differently to those who genuinely want to challenge the Chelseas and Man Citys of this world. Just a difference in what we hope for given the state of play and there is certainly no ‘right’ answer.
When or if the state of play changes and billionaires are excluded from the game, limited in the impact their money is allowed to make or simply drift away bored, there are few clubs better positioned to fill the void than us.
I guess I am happy enough with Wenger for now for the twin reasons that I see limited options for improvement and am happy enough (in the context of the modern game) of where we are at. Plus I think he has earned the right to be wrong.
Nottingham Forest anyone? Or a bit of Leeds United?
Give it ten years, see where Manchester United are at, then re-assess whether AW is still a savant or has become just another idiot.
Nice preview, Guvna.
Arsene Wenger is still the man for me. Wengerball v3.01 is on its way.
Whatever happens, and even without the obvious fact that the manager’s success is linked to the club’s, there are few people I know of, personally or from afar, who I would be more pleased to see succeed than Arsene Wenger. He stands for things I believe in. And he stands against things I do not.
Evening. Cheers ‘H, I will send in my entry right away in the hope that they will deliver to Nigeria 😉
GSD knows re Wenger.
Great post TTG – very balanced. Funny as it may sound, I’m actually generally quite gloomy in my assumptions about how we’ll do – I always tend to assume that those doing their nut that we’re “only” third are the real optimists, given that they clearly expect more at the start of the season. Nevertheless, I will be amongst their number next year – I think it’s our time to shine.
As to the manager, I think GSD calls it well. I understand those who want to make a change, and I think it’s possible to make a reasonable argument for it – there was even a moment in the Wigan game last season where I wondered if this might be the end of the road. I also think it’s quite possible that he’ll never win another title with us – he doesn’t have many opportunities left and the opposition is extremely tough.
And yet personally, I think we would be mad to let him go. For all his flaws (and I think that has probably been his worst season with us, bar none, in terms of his tactics and squad management), I think the chances of his departure causing us to plummet from our current position are far greater than a new man stepping in and winning the title. I am innately suspicious of those who loudly call for him to go and then proclaim they don’t have to consider who the alternatives might be, as that’s a “job for the board” (who they also don’t trust any more). It almost feels as if certain parties have learned from experience that today’s Pocchettinos are often tomorrow’s Phil Browns.
Beyond the above, I also think it would be supremely crass to sack the club’s greatest ever manager (greatest of the modern era, if you must quibble) two years from his retirement, simply because we’re bored and want to roll the dice.
For me, he should be given the next two years: he’s certainly earned it. My gut tells me his team will do the business next season, so it may be that our collective patience is finally rewarded.
But before that, please, please, please bring back three points tomorrow night.
COYG
Hello Cent.
I don’t know if Titi-tee-shirts make it to Nigeria but good wishes certainly do- and i am sending mine directly! I will be pleased when you have the time to contribute more regularly. Your posts are right up there with the best in this tremendous bar.
In fact, in recognition of quite how good a bar this is – especially given the state of many online forums- drinks all round! Well earned, team.
Esso recently made the point that his love for Arsenal has been informed by the people he has shared the match day experience with over the years. For those of us who go less frequently or who do not get the chance to go at all that feeling still holds true. But only because of this place, the people here, and the opportunity offered to share our common love and passion.
Virtual bar- real friends.
I might usually end with UTA. But today I’ll coin one and with end with Up The Goonerholic Bar. Best bar I’ve ever been in…
UTGB.
Cheers ‘holic sir.
Some top notch fumigating in the last bar.
Good stuff TTG and N7.
Special tip of the hat to GSD.
Another win needed tomorrow, by hook or by crook, I don’t really care how, although it would be nice to stroll to a victory…..
Ah, who am I kiding??
We are The Arsenal, we don’t do easy. ;P
Sadly, H2H, we do not. But 3 points won anyway will do just fine tomorrow.
Whatever happens, and even without the obvious fact that the manager’s success is linked to the club’s, there are few people I know of, personally or from afar, who I would be more pleased to see succeed than Arsene Wenger. He stands for things I believe in. And he stands against things I do not.
That was so well said it was worth repeating.
Winning the Premiership is hard. Across 22 seasons, only seven managers have ever done it: Ferguson, Dalglish, Wenger, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Mancini and Pellegrini.
Yep, well said, Ttg, N7 and GSD, and well italicised Lars – nice paragraph.
I also had to chuckle at GSD’s line –
“We face …………. spurred on by silly people with more money than sense. ”
This from a bloke who goes to matches dressed as a red, white and green dinosaur ! 😉
New manager ?
No-one seems to considering tight-lipped, ashen faced Ron Knee, 59.
Shameful !
Mike Bassett, Ron Manager, Graham Taylor, Vic Akers and Nigel Farage. There’s five for you. And Ron Knee of course.
If we had Nigel Farage we’d never get into Europe again.
Pete Isla?
One thing of which I am absolutely 1000 per cent certain is that AW will never be sacked. He will choose the time of his departure and it will be at the conclusion of a contract, not before unless health problems compel it.
Just wish I was as sure what will happen at Loftus Road. As usual I want Theo to start, but I fear he’s been written off by AW and confined to Poldi’s seat on the bench only to get game time if we’re trailing with 10 minutes to go and he’s the last sub to get the nod. Very short-sighted, imo.
Öskar
Seven managers, Ned? Only three, imo, Ferguson, Dalglish and Wenger … the other four were bought and their club mascots could have been the managers.
In fact Fergie was never short of cash either, so that leaves two. And one of them was Dalglish and not worth the poo he was managing.
So that leaves just one really…
Öskar
…And he stands against things I do not…(believe in).
…and what exactly is that, fella?
Kiss of Death?
Daily Mail predicts Arsenal to finish 3rd (Liverpool 4th).

could we start chez this time and ospino at OT? then we will have better chance to progress.
Morning all.
They will deliver anywhere, Cent.
Cheers H!
@TTG I went to that game in 79. From memory was an evening midweeker and we hit the dizzy heights of 2nd (for a brief spell) after we won. That season of course ended in FA Cup triumph against Yanited.
I vote we start Woj and Ospina at OT. Just to be safe.
Esso
That was a very wet night wasn’t it? I think it was the Sean before PR laid their plastic pitch .However bad the pitch it couldn’t stop Brady from playing.
Sorry season- although there are lots of Seans in that part of the world!
SSY.
Wenger stands against people who bribe, bully and cheat their way to success. See his time at Monaco.
He stands against people who buy success- being one of the most eloquent and rational critics of the failures of the game’s governing bodies to act swiftly and expediently to prevent the massive and artificial influx of money into football which other sports do not allow and which is eroding the game.
He could have ridden the crest of this wave to multiple trophies as manager of Real Madrid (or pretty much anyone else) but he has not done so because it is not what he believes in.
Regardless of whether you agree with him he has made decisions about what he considers to be right in this world and has the integrity to show the courage of his convictions. That is probably the best thing I can say about a person. He has not compromised who he is even in the face of an unpredictable change in the game’s financing which has cost him dearly and despite the fact that an about-turn would so clearly have yielded such personal and professional rewards. Instead he stands against the fickle people who permeate every level of football with his resolve and constancy.
He stands against racism.
He stands against sexism.
He stands against xenophobia.
He stands against injustice both on and off the pitch.
He stands against the Spuds.
He cares for his players, standing against the notion that they are commodities to be bought and sold. Unfortunately, they may be that, to some degree, but he never loses sight of the fact that they are human beings and must be treated as such first and foremost. See his treatment of Diaby.
He stands against Ryan Shawcross. Shawcross is a product of years and years of training through the English youth football system. A sad indictment indeed. And a system Wenger stands against.
And he stands for my club. Time and time again he goes to war for Arsenal. Regardless of the chances of success or the reception he gets from those he fights for.
Arsene Wenger, the manager, can be discussed all day without any resolution.
But Arsene Wenger, the man, who I have never met, is a man I trust, believe in and would be proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with and bear the burden of his battles.
There is only one Arsene Wenger. And boy will we remember that when he is gone.
Trev @18
Heh. That made me laugh out loud.
The difference is that I KNOW I’m a bloody idiot!
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20150303/wenger-coquelin-has-surprised-me
————–
Look forward to seeing him playing with a hannibal lecter mask.. time to strike some fear into our opponents!
😀
I only occasionally read Myles Palmer who I consider to be a self- serving pseudo- intellectual. His change of direction on Wenger, a man he wrote ( a very average) book on which he still tries to peddle seems to have arisen because he was not invited into Wenger’s inner circle. In fact Wenger doesn’t seem to have one.
Today he criticises Wenger for paying tribute to Dave MacKay implying as he did not see him play the better thing to do is to stay silent and respectful. This almost certainly means that Palmer probably saw him play and is trying to claim greater credence accordingly.
It is a pathetic and inappropriate slur ion Wenger, a man in addition to the long list of qualities GSD lists above respects the spirit of the game perhaps more than anyone else I can remember.
Mackay was a wonderful player, hard as nails and hated by Arsenal fans because he was so hard to beat. A great footballer has died and anyone who loves the game is entitled to pay tribute to a great football warrior no matter who he played for or whether they actually saw him play
@33 GSD & 36 TTG
Hear! Hear!
On another note, we must, as a team, be as cohesive as the Mochi Makers of Japan… Huh.. What?! : http://imgur.com/gallery/NSSDYLG
😀
What BB said. Great sentiments at 22 & 36.

Hello guys, any pronostics about the starting eleven ??? Let’s seat in the wenger’s chair for a chile ..!!
Medhi @41. That sounds like a hot seat… wink
Sorry- Mehdi.
With regard to buying the title, it depends what you mean by buying it. If you mean not developing your own players and buying your team, just about every title in Premier League history has been bought. The amount of money spent doesn’t really matter. If you take a centre back in his mid 20s off Stoke for half a million, he’s still not your player any more than one costing £25m.
All titles are bought. Blackburn’s definitely was under Dalglish
I know what you mean though, I’m just playing the tool 😉
There has been a lot of debate about Gibbs starting ahead of Monreal in the last two games. I have a sneaky feeling that Le Boss has decided that Gibbs will start the home games and Monreal – the away games. May be he feels that Monreal has played too many games(he played many as centre half earlier) and might not be able to play all of the remaining games without risking injury. Another reason could also be that with all the ‘possession minded’ & ‘attracted to the ball’ kind of players in the starting XI in the home games, Gibbs’ pace down the flank could be an asset. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Welbeck and Monreal start all the away games whereas Gibbs & Ox starting the home games.
It will be very interesting to see what bearing does the return of Aaron Ramsey have on the team selection? Will it mean Santi re-claiming the no:10 role and Ozil shifting wide left? Sanchez’ best position has been wide left, so where does that leave Sanchez? Ramsey’s return potentially balances the midfield but could also disrupt the flanks.
Wenger seems to want to start all his ‘best’ players despite of a seeming lack of balance in the starting XI. In fact if Rosicky was younger, I suspect Wenger would have found a way to play him regularly too in the starting XI. Interesting selection conundrums for the manager ahead of the most crucial period of the season and also an indication of how our squad has improved in the past couple of seasons. There are very few default choices and almost all positions have able replacements. Also there has been a conscious pragmatic shift from the manager especially in away games since last season(although conceding early in the big away games last season made us revert to ‘gung-ho’ style to damaging effect) which came to its zenith in the City game. There was a lot of brouhaha about the players having coaxed Wenger to play on the counter in that game, but I think it has been pretty obvious since christmas (west ham away I think) that we have preferred to play on the counter in away games against organized/pacy teams. Our good run of form started during that period and just goes to show that the manager does do ‘tactics’ far better than people give him credit for.
* stands to applaud GSD @33 *
* stands and applauds again *
Ttg @36, good stuff.
Mehdi,
I have to say I think you should apply for a position in The Quackery, dispensing injury treatment advice over the phone.
We could then call it The Mehdi Call Centre. 😉
Gunnersaurus, “for a while” sorry 🙂
You can’t change it now Mehdi- first time round was much better!
*applauds GSD*
Trev, That’s flattering from you to think about my professionnal career plan but the job you think for me is much less flattering.
My english is not perfect but when I see the defenition of a quackery, I find :
Quackery is the promotion of fraudulent or ignorant medical practices. A “quack” is a “fraudulent or ignorant pretender to medical skill” or “a person who pretends, professionally or publicly, to have skill, knowledge, or qualifications he or she does not possess; a charlatan”
Not very nice from an arsenal’s fan to an arsenal’s fan in an arsenal’s fans blog :). Because I do not remember pretend having any medical skills
Ok I just understand that a pronostic is not an english word and is near of prognosis which means a medical prognosis.
I should have said a starting eleven forecast even if I’m really doubtfull about the fact you did not understood me !!! 😉
gunnersaurus, I made too many mistakes in that damn same sentence but you made me laugh when i understood you’re @41 comment
Mehdi,
Myself and Catalan Gunner have been known as Dr T and Dr C for a long time. We are both health professionals but “set up” The Quackery as an excuse to give out dodgy advice as a bit of a dig at Arsenal’s terrible injury record.
It has all been done in good fun. The reference to yourself was purely an excuse for the Call Centre pun – which now lies in ruins on the bar room floor. 🙁
No offence intended at all – just a bit of fun clearly lost in translation. 😉
Bloody hell – GSD is absolutely on fire!
Well said, sir.
Trev, @57, No offensed at all don’t worry. In my comment in @53, I knew it was just for fun but I did not understood by that time.
(my answer was 70% fun and 30% ???) 🙂
Trev@19: Tight-lipped ashen-faced supremo Ron Knee, 59, take the step down from the North Circular Relegation League to the Premiership? In your dreams…
Gary Oldman was very good in that Sid and Doris film. Very tragic ending though.
Sid and Doris,
Maybe not ….. I guess we don’t really have a Pevsner o.g. specialist anymore either ……..
Ron Knee’s greatest signing along with our ever-present one-legged guardian of the net, Wally Foot.
Thanks for the kind words, GSD, and more power to you for the continued good work you do here.
Cheers, ‘H.
Heh @ the Mehdi call centre.
“Blogging nonsense since 2006” per Goonerholic on Twitter.
Holics, are we going to let him get away with that?!
Hell NO! 😉
Abb. HELL NO!!! Goonerholic writes more sense than the complete works of Edward Lear. And a Hell of a lot of other writers too. 🙂
Do I sense a 10 year anniversary coming on?
@GSD Good stuff lad.
@Cynic Gary Oldman has been largely brilliant in everything he’s appeared in.
@TTG – Myles Palmer! Heh! Arseblog used to do this fake ANR thing which was fucking hilarious. Palmer was of course known as Leopold Mendacious.
GSD @33 – Bravo! Great post.
“He stands against the Spuds.”
I like that.
Come on you reds!
Good evening, and thank you, all.
GSD, you are a star my friend. 🙂
GSD @33 – I’m with you on Arsene, although I couldn’t have said it as eloquently. It’s always dangerous to put public figures on a pedestal (especially athletes), but Wenger’s record over the years stands for itself.

Sir Chez is apparently ill. Smokers cough?

Let’s hope it’s the only hacking we suffer tonight.
We’re keeping Woj fresh for Old Toilet
From picture posted on Twitter (official Arsenal) the pitch looks well shit. Another Palace style surface.
You’d think it would be immaculate with all the shit Rangers put out every home game.

@bt8b Try this : http://www.firstrows.eu/soccer
COme on!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buck up the defence and start stringing some passes!
Fuck Gabriel did his hammy it seems 🙁
We’re showing them too much of the ball.. get control of the midfield!!
COME ON!!!!!
Positions Gibbs is in are scaring the crap out of me.
We need more clinical finishes.. actually like gibbs bombing forward for this one.. they’re on the backfoot.
Will we see Theo in the 2nd half??
🙂
I have no problem with Gibbs bombing forward on his flank and then returning to his position, but during that break which Zamora fucked up (luckily for us) and ball ended up at Koscielnys feet, Gibbo was somewhere around the central circle…thats unnaceptable for left back.
I love him to bits but he needs to cut this kind of stuff out, it leaves us pretty exposed.
Also ..the pitch looks horrendous, took some time for our boys to get “feel” for it to weigh passes properly. Hopefully we will score one early in the second half.
Going to be tough for Sczcesny to come back if Ospina keeps up this form…!
Our ball control and passing is very poor, only picked up our game in final 10mins of the half. Sanchez invisible.
QPR very robust in the tackle, we need to man up.
COYRs
Alexis needs a mandatory break… should be enforce by Arsene.. but I guess that would only demotivate him…
Let’s see what they all do in the 2nd half.
COME ON!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever his problem is with Walcott, he needs to get over it and get him on.
How in the world is that not a penalty
Should have had a penalty there….
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Penalty on Mesut any day of a week.
Dogfight c’mon three points Arsenal
Oh I forgot.. think it’s mandated somewhere in the rules that we’re only to get 1 out of 10 penalties or summat…
Customary.. get yer eyes checked ref.. you …..!
Come ON!
Playing with fire
I want to know what is going on but I only have access to the BBC sport website. This is a bit like giving a thirsty man access to a jar of camel piss.
Please help!
Alexis looks injured… take him offf!!!
Giroud u beauty!!!!!
Giroud !
Giroud happened @GSD!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Let’s get another
Keep it tight now!
Yes!!!!!!!
Finally!
YES! How did he do it?
They’re taking pot shots at our goal now….!
Ok.. even if Alexis is injured.. he’s still good… Keep him on!
😀
@109,@110 Let’s do both! 😉
@GSD
Very scrappy at their goalmouth.. with a sweep of his long legs..!
Alexis !!!!!!!!!
2-0 lets get another
Alexis, what a weight off his shoulders!
Alexis!!!!!
That was cheeky
OH MY.. ALEXIS YOU BEAUTY!!!!
Gibbs brings down the ball and taps it to Alexis who goes on at 3 players and beats Green on the near post!
😀
what…a …goal
COme on FAT SAM .. you can pull one back!
We’re firmly in control now… give it to Alexis!
😀
Up two goals don’t play it out of the back ffs boot it long
Thanks BB.
I knew Alexis would score as he is not my fantasy league captain any more. I’m going to have to take some credit for reverse-jinxing him…
Ozil off post
@GSD
Up till that point, he wasn’t getting much done.. then magic!
You should see the replay when you get the chance.. acute angle .. I don’t know how he does it… and he’s not even on top form!
Bellerin a beast down the flank
I hear Ole’s
Ozil desperately unlucky,…. hope he gets a goal!
Fuck
C’mon Gibbs ffs
And there we have it… our defenders backed off to let them score… argh!!!
Here we go again, fuck.
Holic pound anyone?
TR7 off Ramsey on
Borrow Chelsea’s Bus and park it lads!
Mert why are u on the offensive half ffs
Newcastle have just gifted the Mancs a goal so ridiculous even we would have struggled to concede it. It almost seems unfair how much other teams go out of their way to ensure the tortoise impersonator’s team (copyright Trev) pick up maximum points from awful performances.
Hanging on
Welbeck on Ozil off
Cheers gedo, BB and the rest. These updates are my lifeline!
Victory
Sweaty palms and racing ♥
Oh Arsenal! 🙂
Crucial crucial win!!
Everyone else who’s chasing also won… so far anyway!
Three points. Done and dusted. Upwards and onwards.
Holic pound pays out again! But we should have pissed that in the second half. Still 3 points is 3 points at a ground we aint done that well at lately.
Massive massive win, up to their goal we were in full control during the second half, great to see Alexis back on the scoresheet, Mesut desperately unlucky to not get a goal too.
Bring on Manure!
I got pissed off with a stream that looked like a plastic bag full of puke. Relieved to win. These are bloody hard won points though, just recently.
Harder in the last 10 minutes then it should of been.
Great win none the less.
I have been able to get BT sport for free. This may be a false economy though as I will need to keep replacing my TV remote. They have not yet invented a mute button that can withstand my frantic pounding.
Don’t be like that- you know what I mean.. Wink.
I did not see it. We got 3 points. Perfect game from where I’m sitting.
Thankyou for all the kind ones earlier. Coming from you lot I consider them high praise indeed.

I am certainly glad we avoided this look : http://i.imgur.com/QtkdlLp.jpg
Next ..to scalp ManU!
😀
The best bit about the BT Sport game was Gutierrez coming on. The noise when he got off the bench was incredible, and then when his name was announced as well.
Almost as loud as the booing when the ref booked him for an outrageous trip 🙂
They found the key at half time and wound Sanchez up, different player in the second half. All the attacking players upped their games after the break and we looked a much better team. Ozil very unlucky not to get the pen.
Sadly my stream gave up the ghost on 69mins so missed the Austin goal and Rambo’s run out.
Great 3 points, now off to OT where we can get a win, they were lucky again tonight.

Chilean football star Marco Medel earned an unwanted distinction in a top flight match in the South American nation at the weekend.
Medel had started on the bench for Santiago Wanderers, but with his side locked at 0-0 against CD Universidad de Conception he was called upon to replace Pablo Tamburrini in midfield.
Sadly, the 25-year-old’s stint on the pitch was a total disaster. Somehow, in the mere act of jogging onto the turf, Medel managed to pull his hamstring.
