Mine Eyes Have Seen The Beauty Of…Nothing.

I would like to thank Sky Sports for their decision to put tonights Champions League game on Sky one for those who have a dish and red button thingy that is exclusive to Sky’s direct customers. UEFA must be so pleased that their broadcast partners exclude cable customers and, I assume, freeview customers. They must be particularly delighted that the satellite channel chose to monopolise a team that just days ago was said to have attracted the biggest global television audience ever.
Attempts to hook up to a stream from Prague proved fruitless until the closing moments as well, so I could invent a match report, but frankly I cannot be arsed. The BBC have a perfectly good resume here. Arsenal.com were hot on their heels here.
The good news is we are through to the knock-out phase without too much difficulty. The bad news is, how shall I put this, we had an off night, yet remain unbeaten since April. I’m not about to be critical of a side that secured a point away from home in the Champions League.
Perhaps I should be thanking Sky? No, sorry, can’t do it. My hatred for them is outweighed only by my love of watching Arsenal play, even badly!

Typical Sky, they are just trying to make a point against Virgin media rather than maximise the potential audience for the game.
I agree with you that the point in difficult circumstances, the qualification for the next round, the run out for the fringe players and the rest for the first team players was the thing that matters at the end of the day.
We can’t always play at the top of our game, but it’s now 26 games unbeaten in all competitions.
i know this is a bit late in the day but you could have gone to http://www.liveuktv.com, its usually 25 uk pounds p/m but they have a free seven day trial, which has sky 1 and a whole buch of other uk tc channels so thats i did, mind you as you know you didnt miss much.
