It's Saturday, It's 3pm, Blimey, It's Football!

Who would have thought a Saturday afternoon home game could be such a rare delight not so very long ago? Big ‘Eck brings his assortment of bargain basement buys and ex-Gooners to the Grove looking to repeat the gaining of three points they achieved on their last visit to North London.
Seb Larsson grabbed the winner for Birmingham at Tottenham that day, and will be joined in the centre of midfield by Fabrice Muamba. Hopefully the pair will get a good reception on their return. They may face a difficult afternoon as Arsenal will almost certainly be back to full strength after the last couple of cup ties.
Robin van Persie has once again started claiming statutory sick pay, and the African Cup of Nations has claimed Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue. Defensive worries have eased with the news that Philippe Senderos has been declared fit to play, and he will surely partner William Gallas alongside Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy in front of Manuel Almunia.
With Eboue out it is expected that the midfield will return to a conventional four of Alex Hleb, Mathieu Flamini, Cesc Fabregas, and Tomas Rosicky. Emmanuel Adebayor will surely return up front with Eduardo most likely to get the nod to partner him ahead of Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott.
Birmingham boast experience, but in all honesty not too much pace at the back. I can certainly see Eduardo, plus the breaking central midfielders, getting opportunities. Flamini is 25/1 at Coral to score first, and that is too good to resist. The score could be anything, so I am tempted by the 99/1 offered by Betsson for a 4-2 home win. I wonder if they will let me open an account for a one pound bet?
Finally can I thank those who have mailed, texted, or left messages in other places wishing me a happy birthday. I am likely to be a bit of a shipwreck by the time tomorrow night comes around, but I will endeavour to put something online after the game. Whatever you are doing this weekend I wish you a good one.
Cheers all.

Cheers ‘holic.
Don’t drink too much on your birthday!
What?
Happy birthday ‘holic
I’m not sure what I expect tomorrow. It seems like ages since the first team played. Hopefully, we’ll see some of that early season form from them, although any win will do!
I like the look of Larsson and Muamba, so it will be fun to watch them play.
I do hope Arsenal are due for a goal fest.
Happy birthday sweetie.
Disappointing draw though. =(
I’m aching so badly I can’t even sleep and it’s 6am where I am!
xx
we lost 2 points
