  2. on 15 Jun 2015 at 7:24 pm2Silly Second Yella

The last decent home kits we had was the Dreamcast ones.

    Both of them.

    I am collar man, meself.

  3. on 15 Jun 2015 at 7:29 pm3Silly Second Yella

…and this one looks like a baseball shirt.

  4. on 15 Jun 2015 at 7:31 pm4ongodia boaz

    what are you waiting for?

  5. on 15 Jun 2015 at 8:35 pm5Cynic

    We have a countdown clock.

All we need now is Jim Shite in his yellow tie and it’ll be like DEADLINE DAY. Only with a football kit.

  6. on 15 Jun 2015 at 8:44 pm6bathgooner

New kit? Again? I’m still using the 1971 versions. Never seen them bettered. πŸ™‚

Good heavens, I could nip round and be where you are by 9.30 if I could be arsed. Which I can’t.

  17. on 15 Jun 2015 at 11:01 pm17Trev

well, I have a “please sign in to watch this video” demand and a black screen.

Was it only live and I’m too late ? Sign in with what ?

If there’s technology involved it’s a dead cert i won’t be able to use it !

  18. on 15 Jun 2015 at 11:05 pm18bathgooner

Too late Trev. All gone home. Check out Pravda and order your shirt like a good customer. I mean fan.

  19. on 15 Jun 2015 at 11:07 pm19Trev

Cheers, Lars – not on Twitter.

    Thanks for the link, H2H.

  20. on 15 Jun 2015 at 11:09 pm20Trev

Some of them look quite good, bath.

The Spiderman effect is a bit daft.

They all look a bit pricey (surprise, surprise) for Polyester, or Recycled Polyester + Polyester which makes you sweat like a pig.

Stick with the ’71 classic. Still my favourite.

  21. on 15 Jun 2015 at 11:19 pm21bathgooner

It’s quite a nice looking shirt compared to some of our previous vintages.

As H2H says, it’ll look a lot better if it becomes a Premiership winning version, or even…

  22. on 15 Jun 2015 at 11:55 pm22Thundertinygooner

Sorry this is one bit of the supporting life that leaves me quite cold. Frankly it’s the football that matters

Talking of the Kit launch, word has it that Robbie from ATV spoke with Ivan Gazidis yesterday whilst there.

Apparently, the chief exec confirmed with him the clubs pursuit for Cech and told him that discussions were ‘on-going’ but ‘delicate’.

We’ll there you have it apparently from the horse’s mouth (jokes about horse mouths expected to follow).

As they say, watch this space…

    πŸ˜‰

  27. on 16 Jun 2015 at 10:25 am27King GT

Excuse me that should read AFTV. (expect excuse me jokes to follow).

  28. on 16 Jun 2015 at 12:34 pm28Goonerholic

It was just a live stream Trev, but they have sent through the video now posted this morning.

  29. on 16 Jun 2015 at 1:04 pm29Vinay

Launch is exciting because in a barren month something about the club is always welcome, apart from that i also find it rehearsed.

Cech confirmed, signing soon etc, oh please we have heard this so many times of so many players that till it is confirmed i rather say we are no where in the picture. Will it happen? i do not know, should it, oh yes please, he is a leader and thats what we need.

Nacho Monreal’s interview before the launch which is there is all news links shows a delightful trait of the man.Unassuming yet determined shows the character and vast improvement he has had and the joy to see someone who was chastised, improve is great. He is for me our number 1 left back and has left gibbs behind in more ways than one.

  30. on 16 Jun 2015 at 1:40 pm30Holloway2Holland

    scruz.

If memory serves, and taking into consideration the copious amounts of the amber nechtar that were consumed meaning I could be wrong, I believe that the stones are situated, one, by the Tony Adams statue and one in front of the Amoury.

I’d suggest, time allowing, to read them all. Also all the stories about the players on the exterior stadium walls.

  31. on 16 Jun 2015 at 1:50 pm31King GT

Vinay – I presume that here, if the source of exposure is so-called ‘big’ Ivan himself, then it’s as good as gold.

But I agree, ‘on-going’ and delicate’ is by no means ‘confirmed’ or ‘signing soon’. It could very well become ‘scuppered’ or ‘effed up’.

Looking forward to an oasis in the summer footie desert tomorrow — the unveiling of the upcoming season’s premiership schedule.

Label me sexist, but I find women’s football to be unwatchable, in terms of the quality. And I find I can’t root for the American women’s team, as Abby Wambach bears a striking resemblance to what John Terry would look like as a female.

  33. on 16 Jun 2015 at 1:56 pm33King GT

Just in-case anybody is interested, Bellerin has kept Carl Jenkinson out of the squad for yet another season, as the latter prepares for a season long loan spell to Sunderland!

    You heard it here first!

Let’s hope Jenks finds his way home eventually!

  34. on 16 Jun 2015 at 1:58 pm34Trev

Cheers, Holic, I heard on radio it was quite a show !

GoonerTerry. – great man, still missed.

Hope his family are doing well.

  35. on 16 Jun 2015 at 2:00 pm35Trev

Actually, we heard about Jenks days ago.

  36. on 16 Jun 2015 at 2:18 pm36King GT

Trev – As irresistible as it may have been, everybody may not be aware.

  37. on 16 Jun 2015 at 6:19 pm37Thundertinygooner

Gooner Terry – fondly remembered . Top man and top Gooner

  38. on 16 Jun 2015 at 7:09 pm38Pangloss

  42. on 16 Jun 2015 at 7:45 pm42Holloway2Holland

I’m sure it will be epic!!

  43. on 16 Jun 2015 at 7:51 pm43Holloway2Holland

Don’t forget to have a quick walk (from the Drayton Park end of the stadium) to our old HOF, well worth the pilgrimidge.

  44. on 16 Jun 2015 at 8:48 pm44washed up in france

Scruz, best to take the tube to the Arsenal tube station, walk around the old stadium and then from the Avenell road(main entrance to old North Bank ,east stand and Clock End)you can see the NHOF and then walk the 5 minutes to the new stadium.

  45. on 16 Jun 2015 at 10:10 pm45scruzgooner

h2h, wuif, i am planning on heading exactly the way wuif suggests. how could i not get off at the arsenal tube station? we’re staying in queensgate at my sister-in-law’s flat, i expect i’ll switch at holborn to get to arsenal station. i want to buy a pie at piebury corner, as well as a guinness at the tollie after the tour. i long to pay homage at the marble halls…and at the NHOF. thanks!

  46. on 16 Jun 2015 at 10:40 pm46bt8

GoonerTerry would be smiling to hear that all the holics remember him and wish we could hear from him again. RIP GT. πŸ™‚
